Name: The Crown Princess Ariannona Escaphant Mylene Rosberg
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Species: Human with a little bit of dwarf-blood in there.
Physical Description:
The Princess stands at about 166 centimeters in height, not the tallest human being in the world but not the smallest either. Her skin is white though slightly tanned by the harsh rays of the sun above. Her hair is a light hue of red long and wavy in its proportions naturally bleached from exposure to the sun and the salt water air of the coasts of Dasma. Her eyes are a sharp hue of a piercing green the color of fresh spears of grass. Her form is svelte in proportion with tight muscles beneath the skin formed through years of learning the more noble martial forms of archery and fencing. Though the most striking piece one might notice are the strange glyph like tattoos running down her body. Crafted with arcane energy marking her as born of the royal family of Storia. The markings are an age old tradition first used during the ancient times before the Ur'akrath Empire where spiritual tribal leaders would mark their bodies to serve as a representative of the contract between them and the powers that be.
Skillset:
Having arguably some of the best education in the world being taught by some of the greatest minds in Austry, the Princess is well versed in history, politics, philosophy, the natural sciences and even arcane theory. Beside that as future ruler of Storia she also has been instructed at a young age in essential martial skills as well such as horsemanship, military tactics, swordsmanship and archery to "fully round her out" as both a ruler in times of peace and in war. She is quick on her feet and a sharp tongue to match. A fluent debater and bargainer trained by some of the best diplomates in the realm she knows how to use charisma to open doors that may not always be opened. She truly enjoyed her fencing lessons finding the art to be exhilarating and when push comes to shove she can hold her own in a swordfight if at least against untrained brigands and is a fair shot with a bow.
History:
Ariannona's (or Ari to the one's she is close with) story begins like many do with a faint cry into an unforgiving world. Her mother Queen Ecaeris was plagued with illness during the term of her pregnancy and the birth was hard on her. The Princess was actually one of two of a pair of fraternal twins but sadly her brother died soon after the pair was born. Distraught over the death and still in mild hysteria the Queen committed suicide by walking into the ceaseless waves of the sea never to be seen again. Ari's father the proud King Zachary The Just despite wrecked with grief held on strong for both his nation and his only child left after the terrible events, never to marry again always loyal to the Late Queen.
As the sole heir in the direct line of succession high expectations were put upon her at a young age. If she was slow to speak her first words it was to be noted, if she didn't walk with vigor at a young enough age it was noted, and so on and so forth. Thankfully for all those involved despite the conditions of her late mother and brother, Ari was a strong child with the determination to live and more importantly the drive to learn. Her lessons began at the age of four starting out with etiquette and basic swordplay and moving upward from there. Her teachers came from across the world of Austry due to Storia's location at the "crossroads of civilization" giving her a very strong global perspective about people and the world. They taught her everything a ruler of a kingdom could need to know and she absorbed it all with great care.
As she grew she began to help her Father attended to the royal duties. By the age of thirteen she was serving as his royal proxy in several small domestic affairs that needed the presence of a royal official to be able to go through. She did her best trying to mimic the the actions of her much beloved father and remembering the own Because of this and her presences she was sometimes jokingly referred to as the Young Queen as when her father was on diplomatic missions for periods upon time the populace would only see Auri as the symbol of the monarchy that held the entire kingdom together.words of her teachers while trying to find her own self in the mess as well.
Of course the Princess has some resentment towards this all. As she grew and read about the world she became curious of it, curious of the mysteries that lay beyond the borders of the kingdom. She wanted to explore the many lands she had read about and venture through the ruins of ancient civilizations. In short like most kept confined by walls and the will of society, she wanted to break out, to find an adventure, to do something. But adventure was not in the lines for a the future ruler of Storia. Her kingdom, her people needed her to be there, to be strong and ready to take over when the time came and help her country keep its prosperous peace when caught between the flames of war. She might fancy the idea of adventure but she knew where her loyalties and her duty was as it was etched upon her skin. Now with her coming of age ceremony dawning and the talks of meeting future prospects for marriage to help secure the sanctity of the kingdom. It would seem that adventure would never come.
Psychological Profile:
A study of duality, the heir of House Rosberg can be two very different people depending on who she is talking to. To the public, the court, and those expectant of her she is Princess Ariannon. In this regard she is the very definition of a proper noble: intelligent, graceful speaking courteously, knowledgeable, stout and firm in her convictions and beliefs. A figure to rally behind and to believe in. While to those that maybe know her a little better, talk to her in private or don't hold as high of expectations of her she is Ari. Ari is a nice girl if a bit hotheaded and stubborn, she fights dirty with a sword, can curse with the best of any sailor, hates long flowing gowns and dresses, bitterly sarcastic and willing to use her sharp tongue as an instrument of projected warfare. The way she seamlessly transitions between these two extremes makes many that have seen both sides wonder which is the fake and which is the real one. Though the truth of it is in a way they are both reflections of herself but at the center instead of feeling composed and steadfast or fiery and brave, she feels unsure. Unsure of the future and unsure of herself.
Goals/Fears:
The idea of failure haunts her. The fear of failing not only herself, but her Kingdom, her people and proabably most importantly her Father. She fears the idea of a determined fate, A fear that has been in her people since her ancestors. To have no control of the world around her, to being just another actor in one absurd play, to have no choice in the way in which she proceeds that is a truly terrifying thing. And she fears what is going to happen next. A summation of the previous two working together in tandem. The idea of the future and the unknown is a crippling thing when an entire people's fate will rest upon your shoulders.
In opposition to these fears what does Ari truly want in life, what does she desire? Well obviously the antithesis of these fears presented to her she wants to succeed, she wants to carve her own destiny and wants to be able to look upon the future without fear. But most importantly she wants to feel like what she is doing is the right thing, she wants to belong.
