I'm soon going to make an attempt at negotiating with Khan, just hope they don't cut off Friedrik's balls and feed them to the dogs.

(I don't know if we're still accepting, but we've had one/maybe two factions drop out so there might be some room) ask Gowia :-) He's in charge around here

I'm not non-gunpower. Cannons and small pistols are very helpful for that massive kick, or quick kill. But, a recurve bow would be the staple weapon for everything, with the pistol just for emergency.

Okay Kaben, I don't want to be taking any more non gunpowder based nations, however there is a number of countries free. I am happy for you to redesign them as you wish and take over from them.

Well there is a choice to have an outdated army, one that still use High Medieval type weaponry instead of gun powder but I think the two free countries are already modernized.

Besides, why don't you like gun powder?
Gun powder is fun powder. :D Just ask any native of the new world who got colonized by the Europeans.

Well, there is the storage/transport of it, the ease of sabotage, the length of time spent reloading, the chance of misfiring wounding or even kiling the gunner -misfiring was common until the mid-18th century Rifling invention - The short range, the extreme noise, the awkward length of the weapon.

And I guess taking outdated army would be sort of good, but that would mean using outdated tactics as well, and I like to be kept tactically advantageous.
