Name: Connor Fintaul

Backstory: Connor was born in a small village in the south, where he was raised on a farm. His mother died during childbirth, and as such he was left with his father. Unlike his father (and most of the other villagers), Connor wanted to see what was past their small little corner of the world. So, on his 15th birthday, Conner spent the last of his money on gear and set off to start his new life as a wanderer.
At age 17, Connor ran into an elderly hermit in the woods. The hermit, actually a kind old enchanter, enchanted Connor's sword so that it could 'light up on even the most darkest of nights', which Connor found out basically means it'll light up in the dark and is pretty useful against people who use or are powered by dark magic.
Connor, now 19, was spending the night at an inn when he heard of the sword Earthrent. He set out the next day in search of the legendary blade to replace his old sword.
Personality: Connor is a curious and an adventurous fellow, which oftentimes leads him to dangerous situations which he believes makes the adventure all the more fun. He is rather sarcastic and is usually called a smartass, due to his wisecracking at even the most serious situations. Connor also speaks in a Cockney accent, which tends to annoy quite a few people because he, how most villagers in his town explained it, "doesn't do words well."
Special Weapon: Connor's Sword: The sword Connor bought at 15, that was enchanted by the old enchanter to light up, and as such became a weapon imbued with light. It is large, thick blade made of chipped steel that is held by a grip wrapped in dull, brown leather. It definitely isn't impressive to most, and there are many like it, but this one is his.

Backstory: A human had found his egg before he hatched and raised him. When he was 9 he was able to find his human form and became it using it to get further in the human world. After his human (as he called the woman) died he worked his way up to becoming a knight. A knight known for his efficiency along with the way he jousts. (usually his joust ends with his opponent on the ground with either wounds, knocked out, or both making him a favorite to watch) He often does work for the king when paid enough or with promise of enough reward since he figures that his time is worth quite a bit. However, he also runs a blacksmith shop with quality goods.
Powers: Shapeshifting: Human-dragon and dragon-human (with dragon being his natural form)
Flight: he can unfurl his wings in human form but rarely does so preferring to go full dragon instead
Fire manipulation: He can breath and control fire
Scales: lead to natural armor
Weapons: Claws: His claws are like knives
Swords: He has two black one handed swords with garnets on the hilts

Name: Colmaz Eolian

Backstory: Colmaz was born in a remote mountain village, far removed from civilization. His father was a hunter, and his mother was a herbalist. These two professions influenced his eventual decision to become an alchemist, specifically of the potion-brewing kind. His childhood was idealistic, and his parents wanted him to pursue a career at the town's lumber mill. He, however, was much more interested in the sciences surrounding the many flora and fauna around the village. reading some of his mother's potion books, he grew fascinated and got his hands on as much reading material as he could. He eventually headed down the mountain in search of more knowledge, and half a year later he transmuted his first potion.
He made the long journey to the Alchemist's College, a tiny and obscure institution that few had learned of and less had been interested in, with the hopes of becoming a Master Alchemist. However, there is some inequality among alchemists, with each school of thought believing they are the best one. While Colmaz wanted to be a potion-brewer, the least respectable sort of alchemist, most others wanted to modify ore into gold and other fantastical pursuits. In the hopes of keeping Colmaz far, far away from the college, they told him he'd have to bring them a legendary weapon in order to gain entrance. Colmaz happily obliged, and he's been looking for Earthrent ever since.
Personality: Colmaz is definitely not one for conflict, and he feels bad about needless death, too. He's friendly enough, if a bit lacking in social skills, and he likes to think the best of everyone. He's fairly gullible, and he likes to do 'the right thing'. Some think he's dimwitted, but really, he's just optimistic. His biggest flaw would be how easy he is to mislead and manipulate.
Powers or Special Weapon?:
Steel Dagger: Colmaz's last resort when it comes to defending himself. The sheath is soaked in a poison that causes dizziness and nausea, long enough for Colmaz to run away. If untreated, the poison could spread to vital areas and kill the person it's used on in a matter of days.
Miniature Crossbow: Colmaz's tiny crossbow, small enough to be easily concealable. The downside of this is that it's not very strong, and can't puncture most armors. This is mostly used for the application of potions and poisons from a long distance, keeping him out of the fight. Many times in his travels, Colmaz has been forced to use a little Sleeping Root on those who would seek to harm him.
Poisons and Potions: Colmaz, being an alchemist, knows how to prepare a variety of concoctions to suit your needs. He can fix up a powder to help you fall asleep, a salve to help with bad dreams, and a poison to kill you in hours.
Rudimentary Medical Skills: Colmaz can use some of his alchemy ingredients to form poultices and remedies for some illnesses. He's also proficient at cleaning and dressing wounds.
Natural Knowledge: Colmaz can identify almost every flower, root, weed or berry you could encounter. More often than not, Colmaz knows a use for them, and he definitely knows if eating it is going to kill you.
Basic Alchemical Knowledge: While Colmaz has no intention of pursuing the famous wood-into-gold side of alchemy, he's still read about it. He knows the principles behind it, and can use them in a variety of ways, mainly drawing fancy circles on the ground with a stick and hoping something happens/
Light Feet: From when he went on hunting trips with his father as a boy, Colmaz has learned how to sneak quietly and be undetected in the forest. This has proved invaluable in his travels, as he isn't the sort of person who would last very long in a fight without support from others.
On a side note, this is the first roleplay I've signed up for, and I hope that's okay! I saw it recommended as a good one to look into on the "Introduce Yourself!" forum.
Name: Alastor Viscotti (Better known as Damoni)

Species: Mostly Human, with some Elven, Goblin, and Hobgoblin blood from his mother's side
Backstory: Born to a rich father of a neighboring kingdom, Alastor was sent to a prestigious academy to train to become a mage. He studied hard, and quickly became a very capable mage. His instructor, one Archmage Heph, often said that "Mage Viscotti can do anything". That all changed when he lost his left ring finger in an accident and found that he could not heal it. Furious at finding something he could not do, he began looking into dark magic to regrow his finger. He eventually succeeding in building an enchanted finger out of silver, but the dark magic involved drove him mad. His madness lasted just long enough for him to kill Archmage Heph in a fit of rage. He realised too late what he had done. He was banished from the kingdom with a large price on his head. Taking the new name of Damoni, he resolved to atone for his crimes; he would only use his magic when absolutely necessary, and would attempt to locate the Staff of Taurus, a powerful weapon that supposedly could raise the dead [it can't actually, though, although it is quite powerful]. Learning about the quest, Damoni resolved to locate the weapons to aid him in his quest.
Personality: Damoni is a quiet person, suffering from immense guilt for the death of his mentor. He prefers to avoid violence whenever possible, although he is a capable fighter when the need arises. He also has a dangerous side, and when provoked, will lash out as if he were still mad. Although he prefers to work alone, he will work with anyone to accomplish his goals.
Weapons and Abilities:
Impaler: A short weapon, often described as a sword/spear hybrid, is essentially the top 18 inches of a spear. It is not very practical for fighting, but he has enchanted it to serve as a conduit for his magic.
Beheader: A sword he carries for emergencies or when the use of magic is unhelpful.
The Silver Finger: The magical finger he got to replace his lost one. He can conduct magic through it, but he can not control it and uses it only as a last resort.
Staff of Taurus: Although he does not yet have it, Damoni is seeking to acquire this weapon. Resembling the horns of a large bull, the staff is capable of a wide variety of spells. Most believe it can raise the dead, but this is in fact completely false.
Damoni can also utilize a wide variety of magic abilities, such as alchemy, lightning from fingers, and dark magic. He can also heal people from non-magical injuries.
