OT-MC? sounds like a droid designation. ^_^

That was intentional :P

Know this: I'm not the fastest poster if I get around to this (Though I can whip up a detailed CS quickly... don't ask me how that works it just does) as I'm currently studying three courses and working... also looking at another course for next year but a full time course.

Not something I've looked at before but... looking at Social Sciences...

Not that that is important here :P

That's why I go by the official canon, not Legends canon. Legends is a whole nasty kettle of fish. If I want something from Legends I ask politely.

The worst thing ever added to the Star Wars in my opinion is Mandalorian Iron. Dura-steel is good enough since I saw Obi-Wan hit Jango in the shoulder and didn't lose his arm. It hurt a lot but held.

The fracas has me changing my mind on what to play. I'm thinking my Mandalorian Gun Dancer now. Totally my own creation but it fits well within Legends.

And yup... @Sep has me pegged.

Okay, really loving all this angst here, but I'm going to ask to have people tone it down a bit. I'm currently at work and I'll further explain the canon/imagination portion later. Promise.

@Assallya It's been a long time :P

I actually, despite many haters, am actually a fan of NuCanon. Takes some of the better bits from Legends and adds sense.

I'm not at Uni. These are three Higher (Equivelant of college courses) at Open Learning while I work, I then plan on to go do an HNC then a degree.

Uhhhhh, I have ideas but not solid enough to announce them.

Ok so to clarify a few things.

Yes, I want this to be canon as far as races, classes, lore, powers, orders, etc. goes, however I do want people to keep an open mind because I want to see some crazy force wielding action go on.

So what are the approved material sources you ask? Well, our resident Knighthawk was kind enough to post the wookiepedia page on the interest check, but now it'll be here in the OOC as well. I also was referencing out of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game: The Force Unleashed Player's guide as well, though as far as I can tell most of those orders are already listed in the wookie.

Basically I just want things to be kept fair and smart, so nothing that really limits the imagination, but nothing that would be on god breaking levels either. Just an example as to how crazy things COULD get though, when my friends and I did our little D&D campaign, one of the guys was "theoretically" powerful enough to (if he used a destiny point and rolled really high enough) move a small moon IF he wanted to; that was at 3rd level. Are any of us going to get that powerful? Maybe, maybe not, only the story will tell.

Also to clarify, even though I started out by saying you're padawans, considering this is the day of your test you're all knights at this point, so think on power levels that a fresh from training knight would have.

So we have to be Jedi? Or do you mean equivalent to a Jedi Padawan and Knight.

I would like to throw some dispersion on what could pass for a new knight power level. Because some freshly knighted knights, weirdly put, sorry, have actually been incredibly strong as new knights. So perhaps you should throw some kind of basic limit to adhere to? And I'm mainly lurking, not sure how I feel about taking another crack at this.

Just think on how complicated the power seems to be. The likes of even telekinesis even takes years for a child to learn. The more complicated the ability the longer it takes to learn. So the more skilled you are in said ability the more time it has taken. So if you're say, around 20 years of age you need to equate your abilities to about... 15 years of learning.

Alright, I'll take another crack at it.

Appearance:
Name: Jason Je'and
Age: 21
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Force Order: Order of the Grey (Grey Jedi)

Weapon: Twin black lightsabers that interlink into a double bladed lightsaber
Armor: Armored Combat Robes (Family Heirloom), also has an old suit
Force Powers: Pyrokinesis (Adept?), Force Lightening (Proficient), Force Tornado (Proficient), Phase Walking (10 meters-Max Distance)

Personality: Jason can be brash and act without thinking, but he is kind, strong and embraces the tenants of his Order with zeal. He is also very accepting unless you're the kind of evil that makes people want you dead.
Background: Jason was born into the founding family of the Order of the Grey, the Je'ands. Hundreds of years before, after the Great War with the Sith Empire, Zar'kun Je'and, Alice Je'and, and their son, Jerus, founded the Order after disagreements with their former Jedi friends. Jerus was placed into the leadership position because of his experience and his Mandalorian, received while keeping his Jedi heritage a secret, training while his parents acted as councilers to help guide him.

Jason's father, Roman, began training him from the age of four, when it became apparent he could use the Force. It began with simple exercises, levitating a pepple, basic saber forms, other basic Force techniques, and grew more advanced as he got older. By age ten, he could already use Force Fire proficiently and summon a Force Tornado, though he couldn't sustain it for very long. When he was fifteen, the Empire's soldiers attacked their enclave on Ruusan.

It was sudden and devestating, the members of the Order of the Grey having been in the middle of eating, meditating, or discussing various philosophies. Jason himself had been in the middle of lunch when the attack hit. The only warning they got was the sound of turbolasters bombarding the area, then the Storm Troopers burst in the doors, gunning down every Force User they saw. Roman signaled an evacuation, having his family and the others who couldn't fight flee with an escort, the rest remaining behind to buy time. A few months later, they were contacted and informed of Sanctuary. This is where Jason has finished his training.

Destiny: To bring the Order of the Grey back up to strength and return balance as it should be to the Force.

Notes: Force Tornado is sending a vortex of lightening at the opponent to both levitate and shock them briefly. Phase Walking will never get any stronger for him. Force Fire isn't mastered, but is higher than Proficient. Jason's ancestor Jerus built his reputation as a bounty hunter because of his Mandalorian training, not because of his Force inheritance.

Change Force Fire to Pyrokinesis and research the ability, I cannot find force tornado as an active power anywhere, if you can reference a link I may allow it, phasewalking isn't an ability I can find either, however you may be referencing force teleport which is a rare force power and wolf limited their's to 5 feet until mastery, I figure you'd be in the same boat as them as far as ability control, but again it is a rare force ability I can't allow it unfortunately.

@BeastofDestiny Mhm. Unless he means Phase Walking as in the ability to use the Force to walk through solid objects.

@BeastofDestiny Wellllll...

That's 50/50. I'd say the ability to teleport should be rarer than Phase Walking but both are rare and extremely difficult.

Force Tornado is a lightening charged version of an ability from the KOTOR games, third form of Force Stun. The tree is Force Stun, Force Stasis, then Force (insert name here). Phase walking is actually an ability that works on a more complicated level at a slower pace. Basically, one first opens a portal of sorts, which acts as the "anchor" for the ability. From there, the user can only move so far away and be able to step back to the anchor. There used to be an article, but it has since vanished. If it's that big an issue, I'll still remove it.

EDIT: And until I went to find the article I was going to reference, I didn't know Star Wars even had the ability to phase through things.

EDIT 2: My memory was off, it was level two Force Push, Force Whirlwind, that it's an electrified version of. Sorry for that.
