I hate how I feel the public school system failed me in life and just pushed me out the door with a half-hearted cocky grin and a flat smile on their faces because they couldn't truly invest enough in fulfilling their promises of getting anyone ready for college.

If anything, I learned that I didn't really like the Great Gatsby and I shouldn't have taken ceramics twice.

Ok, fun fact about me: Through a series of peculiar circumstances, I really didn't get any schooling between 5th grade and college. We moved to the boonies, my parents decided to homeschool, and my mother had something of a mental breakdown, so I was basically self educated during that time. And basically that just meant that I played video games, and went to the library from time to time.

At sixteen, I got a GED and went to Community College. And honestly, aside from having to take a remedial math course my first semester, it wasn't difficult to transition at all. That was the thing that blew my mind: I just stumbled forward, thinking that I might have trouble but just sort of hoping that I wouldn't, but I picked right up as if I had been in school all along. I ended up transferring to a University and graduated with a 3.8 GPA.

The problem I did have was that I picked a stupid major. My family didn't have any Bachelor's degree graduates until myself, my father was convinced that any technical degree involving computers would be useless because of a bubble he perceived to be happening in that market, and I made the mistake of trusting college supervisors. So yeh, I was in a position to fuck that choice up, and I did.

So anyway, all of that is to say that, at least in my case, you have an incomplete elementary school education competing with a high school education and matching it. What that says about the value of our High Schools is up for debate.

I think Incel males have a lot to learn about 'does she go for looks or personality'

This quote sums it up nicely.

It's not that personality doesn't matter. It's that you didn't meet her looks threshold, only after meeting that (which normally means being 6+) personality matters. Think about it, if you met a cute girl through fb, talked to her for 2 weeks and she liked everything you like to: fedoras, atheism, comics books, mountain dew, being a cuck etc. And all along you thought she was cute and liked her personality but then she sent you a pic saying "sorry, this is the truth, I'm 250lbs, spotty and NEET, but I think we have so much in common and that love will get us through, fuck appearances and being shallow!"

Would you still talk to the girl? No. You get loads of ugly people with great personalities but these are the girls and guys we avoid and keep in friendzone. I just LOL @ incels punching above their weight, the formula to find your looksmatch for this hypergamous society is: (your looks - 2) +1 if you have great personality. So if you are a 4 OP, go for 2s or 3s. Hope you learned boyo

Well it's less that they didn't try but in the grand scheme of things they assume I could get things straightened out, which maybe I do but I feel that at least lately I might not have refined my choice enough into my career of choice. This comes up now that I have to soon redeclare my major since my old one died without any real warning so it's not time to make an actual life-determining choice again. And that to help me I'll be getting back with people who like in Highschool would offer no anchoring words of wisdom but will tell me to do whatever, but will do so to just get me to throw another couple grand at them as opposed to being afraid if they burst my bubble they'll get angry parents scolding them for murdering someone's perfect child's self esteem.

But I think I've also had that chance of failure in life at the back of my mind with contigency plans in place if what I picked went FUBAR.

Advisers, in my experience, are usually grad students who haven't completely figured it out themselves. In some ways, they are usually giving you questionable advice because they themselves are still drinking the kool-aid.

But with jobs and shit, what you do is find what you can grab hold of and sink your claws into it. The entire economy is basically ephemeral at this point, you just take what you can and hold on tight until it all goes tits up.

Speaking of looks...

Preconceived ideas of physical appearance in relation to some specific hobby or the internet really grinds my gears. I spoke with a person recently and I happened to mention that I play computer games, whereupon said person was surprised and said: "you don't look like someone who plays video games." So, apparently, I didn't fit the preconceived image of the average gamer... girl, in this case.

And speaking of gender, the same goes for the internet and guys' preconceived ideas about girls, or lack thereof. If you look a certain way and claim to be that person, you have to prove that it's actually you, usually in a picture with your username, current date, or some such nonsense. It doesn't happen to me very often, but it has happened enough to discourage me from ever showing myself on the internet. It's not that I claim to look like a supermodel, because I don't, but apparently... ordinary girl = supermodel to guys on the internet, which is totally insane.

Tach hipsters who ruin the places you grow up in by causing everything to get expensive. God tech people are making it harder to afford things. Also I hate Politically correct comic book geeks who try to bring up every single issue they have with a comic like a baby

When girls try to play matchmaker with me and try and get me to date a certain person. or whenever a girl tries to hit on me. I mean like. I'm sorry but I really really REALLY hate the idea of dating.

So if I am a 1, do I need to look for a girl who is -1? Where do you find the negative girls?

10 minus the number of internet communities you belong to. If one of those is 4chan, subtract for every board.

ask people who you know to be sugar coating and who like you to rate you out of 10 then subtract two

if your best friend says you are a 7 then you are a 5.

If I've learned anything from Into the Wild, its that Chris McCandless is an absolute fucking idiot who went batshit insane over some romanticized vision of one of the deadliest place in the world, woefully under equipped and woefully over confident to beyond narcissistic degrees.

In general, I'd say no because you lied to me, not because you're 250 and spotty, and whatever the hell NEET is.

Personality goes a long way, but appearance is what gets you through the door. I've fucked around with some women WAYYYY outside of my league based on nothing but my endearing confidence alone, and not my looks, which WILL vary from person to person.

Anyone going by that formula is an idiot, if I'm honest. The person who wrote that, hopefully was being satirical, or else he sounds like one of those that have been shut down because his personality wasn't all that great to begin with, despite what his friends said. Hahahaha.

In other words, go for who you want, all you really need is a foot in the door. If (s)he friendzones you, oh well - watch them crash and burn, and keep it moving. It's not like a 'no' is gonna affect your whole life. Hahah.

How many men even care about dating NEETs (somebody who is above 18 that doesn't work, isn't actively looking for a job, and isn't going to school.)? I mean, isn't that basically what housewives are?

By that system, I'm a 7/10(that's not counting social media btw). If I do count it, then I guess I'm a 6/10 - which still isn't bad; it's just slightly below average, which is my outlook on life atm. xD

If you think the average person is above a 6/10, you have a pretty rosy view of the world.

I wouldn't date a NEET, unless she has a pretty damn good reason(small human, medical reasons, or whatever), because if you're over 18, not looking for a job, and isn't going to cool, you're basically worthless to me. If the only thing you have is to babysit the house, and cook, that's not really much.

I would never date a punk or SJW, it always ends in disaster if you don't share their dogma. I think those kinds of girls normally end up abusive and have such massive entitlement
