Jason walked trough the hallway of school. His friends walked both on the sides of him and everyone around them made place for them. After all, they were the jocks of the school. ''Hey Jason'' a few cheerleaders said and waved. He nodded and they giggled. ''Oh Oh Oh, Lover boy'' His mate Derek said and Jason grinned. ''Hey guys'' a girl said. She walked to Jason and kissed him on his lips. It was Daisy, the head of cheerleaders, his ex girl friend... Or did they have a relation now? He had lost count.. He returned the kiss a bit off minded and looked at her. ''Hi Daisy'' he said. His friends had walked to their lockers and he opened his own.

He took his book of History and his note book for Project class. He then looked at the girl. ''I got to go, did you wanna discuss something?'' he asked. ''Yes, our outfits for home coming'' she said. ''Ugh, we will see later.. It's still three months away'' he said and then walked away.

Winter arrived at school and she was at her locker when she notice Jason and his friends. She sigh and put her books away and grab her book for class and headed to class. She walk in and sat down in the back took her drawing notebook out and started scetching the outside the snow and everything.

When he came in she look away she has liked him forever but feared to say anything. She continue to draw till the teacher came in and started taking about the project they have to get know someone that isn't them and find out can two people who are different get along? And why do others treat others different by just how they are and how they act? Winter sigh as the teacher assign partners and she got with Jason. Shyly she got up went to Jason tap his shoulder "um hi were uh partners" she said softly quietly

Jason listened to the teacher as she explained about the project and looked around when he heard he had to go with Winter. Who was she again? Did he not have more classes with her? He then took out his note book and when he felt a soft tap on his shoulder he looked up. A red head girl stood next to him. "um hi were uh partners" she said. Jason smiled and got up. "Seems like it yes" he said took his note book from his table. ''Miss? Can stroll trough the school, if we are quiet of course, to talk some?'' he asked. The Teacher looked up and smiled. ''Yes, you guys can do that'' she said. ''Cool, thanks Miss Decanting'' he said and took his bag and looked at Winter.

''Come on, we are going for a stroll'' he said and took her hand, he walked out of class. Leaving Daisy behind, looking at Winter with narrowed eyes. He had seen it and when they were on the hallway he let go of her hand. ''Okay, I bet you saw Daisy look at you with those weird eyes.. She is going to hate you, but if she ever does something to bully you, just come to me.. Ok?'' he said and looked at her.

Winter blush as he took her hand and led her out. She look at him and nodded. She shrug "she already hate me it nothing new" she whisper and started walking down the hallway. "It's okay I'm use to being bullied, picked on, it nothing new" she said sadly

"So did you want to meet outside of class to work on this?" Winter ask shyly look down as they walk. She stop at her locker open it and took her candy bar out and started eating it needed to her blood sugars were low. She lean against the lockers offer him half of it. "Want some?"

''Well.. Now that I must learn more about you.. And we must see if we can be friends, I want to offer you that little protection'' Jason said and smiled. He looked at her as she opened her locker and took out a candy bar, offering him half. ''No, but thanks for the offer'' he said and then pointed to the side of his mouth to mention that she had a few crumbs sticking to the side of her mouth.

''Hmmm, yeah that's a good idea... Since we must make a project from it.. What if we are going to interview each other?'' he asked. When she had not gotten his silent hint, he moved his hand and softly stroked the crumbs away. ''A few crumbs were sticking'' he said and smiled.

Winter ate the candy bar and she nodded at the interview suggestion and blush at being friends. "Friends? Are you sure? I'm not" she didn't want to say she isn't popular she hate the titles people give but wasn't sure what else to say.

She blush as he wipe the crumbs "thanks. Sorry I have hypoglycemic low blood suagrs" she whisper and look at him. "Um where can do this interview idea? I can't have you at my house I'll get in trouble" she said shyly

''Wait.. What does that mean?'' Jason asked and looked at her. ''And of course.. We must learn our differences and see if two people so different can be friends so, we are going to try it'' he said and smiled. ''Back to that low sugar thing.. What does that mean.. Do I have to keep an eye on you?'' he asked with a smile.

''My house could.. Or we take the interviews at our most favorite places around school'' Jason said. ''We can film it and make a awesome video from it'' he said and smiled.

Winter smile "I would like that" she said shyly and look at him blushing. "It just mean if my sugars get low I zone out I start to shake and I look pale and I will have a candy bar in locker so if you seem me out of place grab a candy bar for me then I have to eat real food after" she said softly

"I guess a film would be cool but I have no favorite place at school well the theatre that is it but no where else" she said she has a sad life and school life she felt embarrass by it

''From tomorrow on, I am going to have a extra candy bar in my bag'' Jason said with a smile and he then nodded. ''The theater it is then.. I don't know which one will be mine... Maybe we can do some walking and talking'' he said and got out his phone. ''The filming can be done with my phone, I also have a selfie stick... It might look weird but that thing is more handy than I had thought'' he said and got the stick.

He placed is phone on the stick and got it on camera. ''Ready? Let's do some walking and talking.. You can start with the questions'' he said and smiled.

Winter blush and she smile sofflg nods. She follow him and she got shy in front of the camera and smile sofflg. "Um what you like to do? Like to eat?" She ask softly looking at him.

She walk with him and look away shy of the camera and little uncomfortable but tried to hide it she didn't want to disappointment him with not doing the project this way.

Jason did notice she was scared and decided to do this a different way, but she wouldn't notice till they got into the theater. ''What I like to do? Ehm.. Hanging with friends, practicing for football and of course winning'' he said and looked at her. ''And what I like to eat? Mostly I eat healthy stuff, my mother always wonders if she got a son or a rabbit..'' he said and joked about it. He was a veggie and fruit lover and not only his mother but even his friends are joking about it.

''Now it's my turn, but for that... We are going to do this different'' he said and opened the door to the theater which was completely empty.

Winter smile listening and look at him. "I like to eat healthy to I kind of have to" she chuckle and smile walk in the theatre. She saw it was empty and she forgot about the camera and went to the piano.

She sat down and started playing getting into her own world forgot he was here with the camera. This made her feel safe and like she can be herself. She play and started singing a song she wrote abut growing up being hurt and felt abandon and she feel alone like no one want her.

Jason couldn't help it but stood there in aw just looking at her. He was filming everything and after a moment he placed the camera on a spot where it could film them and he walked up to her with the guitar in his hands. He first played a few notes to get the right tune and when he had, he started to play along once she hit the Chorus for the second time.

He simple sat there on the stage and played along with the melody of the piano and the words of her song. When she eventually stopped singing, he looked at her. ''Busted, I guess'' he said with a smile and laid the guitar next to him. He tapped on the wooden stage. ''Come sit with me, I like to be on the same level as you are when we talk'' he said.

Winter sang and played and she heard him playing the guitar and blushed. She finish and chuckle at him an wipe her eyes a few tears escaped. She got up and walk up sat next to him forgetting the camera is on.

"Sorry I come here o get away from everything. And I saw it and got lost in my own world" she said softly look at him then look down play with her hands. "I'm guessing you want to know what the song is about?" She ask softly look around made sure no one is around

Jason laid a arm around her shoulders when she sat down and pulled her close, the camera was now looking at their backs but he didn't focus on it. ''Only if you wanna share it with me'' he said and lowered his arm so he could comfort her some or at least make her feel safe to talk about everything she wanted too.

Winter blush at his arm around her. She look down play with her fingers. Tears fell down. "I grew up being abused my parents wanted a boy but got a girl and they drank a lot and did drugs. When I was 13 they got arrested and I got sent to foster care which I'm in now. It still the same. They abuse me to physically emotionally everything their sons take advantage of the girls and me and they will know somehow I'm telling you and I'll be beat for it.
I cant tell anyone I have no place to go I'm alone I'm ugly a freak and it been hard dealing with being hypoglycemic and I can't have dairy I found out a month ago. I been abandon hurt and I have no one. I miss school when I'm being hurt and I can't hide or I can't deal with the pain. This last month finding out about my sickness and everything the abuse has been worse and I'm scared of the dark and being coming up behind me and heights and water. I'm so scared to go home that I hang out here in afternoons for as long as possible and when I do get home I pray that they don't see me. I lay in bed wonder if I'm better dead." She look at Jacob tears fell down her cheeks. She lift her shirt show him her bruised broken ribs "it why I haven't done pe in a week only had this a week and I can't go to doctors no money. I can't breathe a lot and I'm so scared to wear shorts cause of this" she lift her pant leg show him her wrap leg got cut by a knife. "Your the only one that knows the only one I have felt safe with to tell. I know I'm not pretty or that I'm not popular like you but your the closet to a friend and if I don't come to school one day or I come and seem out of place at least you know. You can't tell anyone they will kill me." She look at him tears fell down more. "The piano singing her the theatre is my only safe place. Now you are to. I'm scare to go back but I have to and if I don't return promise you won't forget me" she whisper held her ribs in pain and couldn't breathe

Jason's eyes widened at what she told him, he then got up. Grabbed the camera and shut it down. ''First.. I'll cut that out, I promise'' he whispered. ''And second.. Come to my house.. My aunt works for foster care, if you tell her the story, she will be able to help you..'' he said. He sat back down and laid his hands on her cheeks. ''Calm down Winter.. Calm'' he said and whipped away her tears. ''You are safe here and if I don't see you on school tomorrow around 9 am, I am going to get you'' he said.

He pulled her closer, pulled her on his lap and hugged her. ''I know that I am a jock.. And that we are completely different or so people around us might think but we both are just humans'' he said and started to perfectly braid her hair. She probably didn't know any guy that could braid so perfect.

Winter look at him tears fell down forgot about the camera. "I'm so scared. I'm terrified to tell anyone and if I tell your aunt they will say I'm lying and that I'm doing it for attention" she whisper lean into his hands on her cheek. She wipe her eyes and look at him as he move her on his lap.

She close her eyes enjoying him braiding her hair. She held her ribs breathe slowly and cough "Jason how yoh learn to braid hair? I don't know if I can come to school tomorrow my ribs hurt a lot and my leg and I just don't know what will happen tonight if they will know I told you. It hurts a lot everything does" she whisper held her ribs in pain and she felt her sugars getting low. She turn and look at him. "jason I need to eat something could we skip next class and go get something? Please I just don't want to be in class right now and I don't feel good"

Jason held her to him after he was done braiding her hair. ''My aunt reads eyes, she knows when someone is lying and when not.. Before she went for Foster care, she worked on a special team in the police departments... You know that tv show: Lie to me? It is kinda based on her team.. She knows just as good as that male person when someone is lying'' he spoke. ''We are going to skip the whole freaking day'' he then said and grabbed is back and took out a candy bar he had taken from home. ''Eat this'' he whispered and gave her the bar.

He then thought of her question and then spoke with a soft voice. ''I have a sister who is five years old.. When she was three she got into a car accident with my mom... My mom died.. Kelsey survived but lost 60% of her sight'' he spoke, now it was his time to have a voice filled with pain. ''My dad is now in rehab as he couldn't handle the lost of my mother.. I take care of her, we live at my aunts house'' he said. ''I learned how to braid her hair perfectly.. Being able to see or not, she knows what she wants.. When meeting new people she uses her ears to listen to their voices and when she feels okay, she asks them if she can feel their faces... She is so great with it..'' he spoke. ''She can see in her own way... I am proud to be her big brother'' he said.

Winter listen and she nods she heard about the tb show. She doesn't watch much of tv. She look at the candy bar and took it started eating it slowly. She relax in his arms as he held her and started speaking about his family.

She felt horrible that happened and she had chocolate on her lips and she touch his cheek. "I'm so sorry that happened. Your great at braiding hair. Your an amazing big brother I can see it. Your loving and caring and I know your mother would be proud. I'm sorry your father is in rehab I'm sure he missed you and your sister and feel bad" she said sofflg and rest her head on his chest held onto him. "Jason if I come to your place your aunt will make sure I don't have to go back to that house will she? I'm so scared and worried they will make sure I can't leave" she whisper coughed wince held her ribs was in pain
