Raven gave a mock salute. "Promise I won't be any trouble," he said, heading to the far room. He only knocked out of courtesy before entering. "Kaiser? It's Raven Starcaster; we need to talk."
Kaiser was sitting at the end of a small bed, looking like she was just about to pack up. She looked up at Raven, and frowned. "Why are you here?" she asked.
"Why are you here?" Raven countered. "When you should be out looking for more D6, as per our agreement."
"Our agreement does not extended to life threatening risks will little chance of reward," Kaiser replied curtly. "Not with the money Finn offered me."
"That's all we have!" Raven exclaimed. "He's out! Okay? Flat out. He'll make it a day, two at most without it."
"Well maybe you should have thought of that before traipsing around in a meltdown zone."
"This isn't a joke!" Raven exclaimed. "If you don't do what I ask then I swear I'll--"
"You'll what, Raven?" Kaiser interrupted. "You'll put another hit out on me? You couldn't afford to pay the reward, obviously."
Raven folded his arms, scowling. "I'll make sure everyone in the galaxy knows who you really are. Starting with Charity."
Kaiser froze, casting him a glare. "You're bluffing."
Raven shrugged. "Try me." When Kaiser didn't reply, he continued. "You will get more medication for Finn, and you will do it for the initial rate we agreed on."

As Raven left, Nobuna turned his attention back to Tyranus.
"So you're here for more work, eh?"
"That's the hope," Ty replied. "I got bills to bay too."
Nobuna scoffed. "Like you ever pay yer bills anyway."
"Eh. That's a matter of perspective."
"Yeah, yeah. Well lucky for you, you pay my bills and I got some cargo in Quealt that I need moved to Coal on the down low. Like REAL down low."
"Really, Nob? You got me doing cargo runs?"
"I'm not done yet. Y'see I got the cargo there, but while it was there, it was seized by the local fuzz. I need someone with a fast ship to get in, grab the stuff and get it to my paying customer."
"That's more my speed, Nob." Ty grinned.
"Yeah. You got a fast ship, but remember, you gotta do this on the down low. The more subtle, the better. Hell, if you can get out of there without anyone knowing, I'll throw in a nice bonus."
"I like the sounds of that," Ty said. "How much are we talking?"
"Sixty big ones for getting the cargo and another two if you pull off the subtlety."
Ty stuck out a hand to Nobuna. "You got yourself a deal, Nob."

"So do we have a deal?" Raven asked.
Kaiser sighed and then nodded. "Fine. But your threats earn no good will from me."
"Neither does your willingness to let my friend die," Raven countered. "Besides, I'm not after your approval."

Nobuna took Ty's hand, his paw being swallowed by the man's thin hands.
"Good boy, Ty." He nodded. "Don't make me regret this."
"You won't. You have my word."
"Don't make me laugh, kid."

"But Raven, you should know, I deserve more for this job than what you'll give me."
"You deserve what you get, Kaiser. you should know I don't take kindly to threats, especially where people I care about are involved."
He turned wothout another word, exiting and shutting the door loudly behind him.

[RhineQueen]

"Hey hey!" Nobuna barked. "Watch the doors."
"I take it things didn't go too well then?" Ty asked.

"Not as much as I'd like," said Raven. "But I'm getting what I need and I'll smooth out the kinks later."

[RhineQueen]

"Well then that makes two of us." Ty smiled. "Shall we hit the road then?"

[1n5tant Ar50n]

"Sure thing," said Raven. "I gotta go find a well paying assignment so I can at least try to pay Kaiser back a little more than I currently want to. I have a feeling she might raise her price along the way."

[RhineQueen]

"Well then, sir. I may just have a business preposition that you might find alluring if a bit ironic." Ty grinned as Nobuna led them back to the door.
"Alright you two, go cause trouble elsewhere." He said, shutting the door behind them.

"Trouble? Hey wait Ty," Raven began, "you know that you and I don't really operate on the same sort of jobs. No offense but whatever it is you're doing I don't think I'd like to be caught doing it with you."

[RhineQueen]

"True." Ty shrugged. "But this job I picked up needs a bit more of a delicate touch than I'm used to and you need a bit of extra cash. Plus if you're as good as you say you are, you won't get caught." He smirked.

"What exactly do you want me to do?" Raven asked, still sounding skeptical.

[RhineQueen]

"Well Nob's got some cargo being held by the Quealt local police. He needs some people to get in there and get out without being found out. Now I don't think you've noticed, but Yebbok here isn't exactly subtle. In the past, I'd have sent in Dana and Moses, but since Dana's a bit more incorporeal, I need someone with some more experience in subtlety to go in with her."

"Incorporeal? Jesus, I don't think I even wanna know." He sighed. "Okay, fine. But if you want my help we're going to have to do things my way. No guns blazing, or making a fuss with the cops. And you better split the reward with me at least 40-60."

Ty pondered for a moment. "Thirty five, sixty five, my favour and I keep the bonus. If you don't keep it quiet, I'm taking the bonus out of your share."

Raven groaned. "As long as it's enough for me to pay Kaiser, then fine," he said. "But you're listening to me on this, yeah? Cause frankly if we need to be sneaky, you should not be in charge."

Ty chuckled and nodded as he extended a hand to Raven.
"That's why I'm bringing you on, buddy."

Raven tentatively took his hand. "Makes a change from you trying to kill me, at least."

Ty chuckled and exhaled slowly.
"No kidding. I got enough people in that category to last me a lifetime."
