Alright, welcome friendos. Let's talk about what we should do.

Indeed. Does anyone have a suggestion for where the story should take place?

Basically anywhere any when I'm most partial to scifi, but I do have a solid fantasy streak in me.

I wouldn't mind either a sci fi or a full on fantasy either one.

This is more a discussion for the interest checks section, but what the hell, i'll throw an idea or two out. If sci-fi is a main preference, perhaps something with elements found in preexisting role play systems such as Rogue Trader or Cyberpunk would suffice? Something Shadowrun based is another very viable option considering it blends both sci-fi and fantasy pretty well. What would be the goal here as far as characters are concerned? Good, evil, neutral? Will different species be a thing both PC and NPC wise, or will it be human only? Genre wise, what are you looking for beyond sci-fi or fantasy? Combat? Slice of life? Mystery? If we pin these things down first then a plot can be worked around based on what we've got going.

Not to be rude, but I have this up here for myself and a few friends. Hence why I set the RP to full.

Beggars can't be choosers as I always say. However, if the tie breaker were up to me, I think I'd lean slightly more towards Fantasy. Although, if you still wish to do Sci-Fi I'd be completely open to the idea of someone being from a parallel universe or a time traveller journeying between worlds. On a more unconventional note, how about a robot who's been rebooted hundreds of years in the future, or perhaps a wealthy noble family who's been cryogenically frozen and unthawed at a later date? Or maybe a Mage who's attempt at controlling time has backfired and trapped them in the past? Only due to their extensive research in the present they're actually well versed enough to make surviving entirely possible. That is until they can find a way to undo the spell... but if they're enjoying themselves who says they would even want to go back?

I like the sounds of those. I have characters that would fit in in literally any of those so that sounds really good.

All those ideas sound pretty great. I have a character who has a means of time travel if we want to go along with that, and he would also work really well even if time travel isn't being used

Although I'm sure even if some Fantasy elements are mentioned it won't seem entirely out of place in a Sci-Fi setting.
After all, history is doomed to repeat itself, right?

May I ask which plot device we've decided to go with? I'd like to comprise a character bio, but I find that hinges greatly on picking something that won't sound out of place given the established canon. Like if you guys are gonna be Space Nazi's I don't want to roll in with the Millennium Puzzle, you know?

I'd be down for some fantasy elements intertwined. Also the established canon is pretty loose, so there's a lot of room for new ideas. Maybe I will set up kind of a world building document on google or something where all of that can go...

That's a pretty good idea. Honestly when you're that far in the future with so much tech from so many different species, it's pretty much anything goes. So long as it's reasonable obvs and I'm sure all of us are good at not making total mary sues.

Yeah! I do have the established Omega Galaxy that we can use as a setting, and there are few good places I've established but a lot that is open for whatever eithdr of you would like to make up. :)

Considering it's an entire galaxy, I imagine there's a fuck ton of whatever out there. Cause space is weird. So I'm good with this. You should probably leave some kind of summary of some aspects of it for Madame President.

Oh yeah of course! I'm going to compile that to a google doc with the inclusion of a picture when i can. For now I will mention important places as they come up.

Also since I think we're all capable of making decent characters I'd say we can post them all straight to the character tab.
