Day 1, August 15th 2090:
It was a normal beautiful day in New York city, in other words it was raining with yet another one of its famous lightning storms. However, despite this the people moved about the city like it was a ordinary day for them. In fact it was just that. Upon the streets people road their neon lit bycicles and drove their yellow cabs. Some ever drove their own cars or road on the many metro trains or buses to get about the city. The place lived up to its name as the city that never sleeps. In the center of it though on Manhattan island stood a tall building. On this building in its center was the giant W with a Y in behind it, symbolizing Wayland Yutani. A huge conglomerate that has control of most of the worlds products. They produced all kinds of products, such as jewelry, cosmetics, augmentations, guns, tools, or just about anything they could get their hands into. This was widely excepted, not just in America ,but all around the world. They even have military contracts as well. There was one thing that the world did not know though. They explored space ,which is no surprise to anyone, for one purpose only and that was in the search for alien life. They simply hid this truth the perfect lie that they were building better perfect worlds. The building in the center of New York just so happened to be one of the many places on earth which held beneath it a large lab. Within this lab contained a Alien species know as Xenomorphs. A alien species that is revered by scientists as the perfect living organism. However, today that all went to hell as Nine and her kinsmen broke out from their cells and freed their Queen. As the people above went through their everyday lives, those below were fighting for their lives and losing. The Queen and her kinsmen escaped the lab and into the underground labyrinth of subway systems and sewers. It was here that the alien queen built her nest. It was here, where her hive would begin to grow.
Meanwhile,.......
Erika sat at bar stool within the recreation building of the military base right on the edge of Brooklyn. She was enjoying a cold beer and a delicious pink marshmallow covered brownie dotted with coconut. She was sitting their waiting for orders to come. She let out a huge sigh and looked to her right to see two messengers from the Major's office. "Ma'am, the Major requests your audience in his office." They said to her. She smirked and got up from her stool. He was either going to flirt with me or perhaps we will finally have a mission. Either or was quite welcoming. The day was getting quite bored without something to draw away its attention.
She made way for the office by first following the two messengers out. The recreation building was pretty huge. It had pool tables, every game console invented, a bar, and several other things to get the soldiers out of their barracks and moving. She found her self outside and in the rain, her hair getting wet as well as her tank top. She hardly cared seeing as its cold touch always seemed to soothe her. She hopped in the back of their jeep and waited for them to take her to main building. It did not take long before she heard the engine erupt with life as it vibrated and hummed. They then quickly pulled away from the recreation building. It took about five minutes for them to reach the main building. Other things were going on around them ,but she paid it no mind. Until she entered the front doors and looked behind her to see that marines were mobilizing. She then began to wonder what was going on. It was like they were preparing for a invasion. She waited for the messengers to close the doors and once more begin to lead her towards her destination. When she reached it and entered the office she saw, that she was not the only one who had been summoned. Lieutenants from every regiment Miles controlled was here. Miles nodded to her and as soon as the door closed he began.
"Okay, now that your all here, listen carefully... As of now we are fighting for our survival." He said. He then pressed the button on the comm at his desk. "Repeat all that you said to me General..." The General explained everything they needed to hear. The invasion she thought we were going to fight against already happened. All thanks to Wayland Yutani and there idiot scientists. They brought with them a alien life form that they all took training to fight. What they were actually called was unknown but for now they were known as Xenomorphs. They had escaped the labs below Manhattan and will soon be a dangerous brood if not stopped. The military was tasked in doing so ,but first she was tasked with aiding in a long scaled evacuation. From what she understood it had already begun. The citizens were only being told that a deadly contagion hit the island and they all needed evacuated. The bridges were all being monitors and every soldier given scanners. These were not ordinary scanners however. They did not read like guns or metallic objects. Instead what they picked up was lifeforms with cold signatures. Any civilians found with a life form within them was to be taken and dealt with. She did not like it but it was a better fate then what would come when the thing inside them bursts out of their chests. Once the evacuations was done and all was cleared from the island. The military was going to level it with a tactical missile to kill the infestation. She did not know if it would actually work or not but that was not her concern. Getting innocent people out and alive was. When Miles cleared them to dismiss she remained.
"Where will you be Miles?" She asked him now that they were alone. Miles gave her a grin and stood up straight. "Don't worry I will be going with your team on a building to building search to make sure everyone gets out." He said. She nodded thinking it was best. At least he would be close by to her and she would not have to worry about him not getting out in time. The blast would not be big enough to hit the base ,but still it would be better safe then sorry. She returned his smile with one of her own and then proceeded to leave. "I will get outfitted then." She said.
Their first building to search was a apartment building on mains street closest to the Brooklyn bridge. Once she got to the armory she went to her specific locker and put in the needed pass code. Once she heard the satisfying sound of the locker unlocking itself she pulled the door open. She first put on her Kevlar and her other equipment including some extra stems. When Xenos are involved it doesn't hurt to have a few extra. Once she was already she took out her assault rifle and placed a clip in it and several others into their respected slots as well as extra pistol ammo. She sighed as she began to understand what was going on. It was pretty heavy to finally be given a mission, but the mission was on the home front and that was scary. Countless lives could be lost if they did not succeed.
While she prepared upon the streets of the island military humvees were already patrolling with loud speakers tell the people to evacuate immediately. A deadly virus has hit the island.....
