The truth behind every person was always complex, even if they didn't want to admit such a thing. Did it really matter? Of course not. Still the amount of time this young woman had given herself to even begin to think of an answer, well, to be honest it had been far too long. For one thing, the female in question idly wondered why she even starting thinking of the last question put to her before she left. Left the academy anyhow. Now normally one would say 'oh yes, she graduated with the rest of her class', but no. For this white haired Shinigami, yet again she remains different from the rest. She swears she's cursed no thanks to days long passed. Still there was a lighter side to those times, one being her name. Only the teachers at the academy knew her real name, and even then they never used it at her own request. Canaan. Was that her real name? No, but it was one that this young Shinigami had used for far too long to give up now.
Canaan had graduated the academy only a few weeks prior, and many would already be within squads of the Gotei 13, but not her. As many before her had said, she always had to be the different one. The one who took a different path. Letting out a sigh as the female proceeded forward, Zanpakuto safely attached to her back hip, within ease of her own reach. True, she didn't need to be carrying hers, but for the moment she had no Squad she needed to listen to, therefore logically it didn't matter did it? Golden orbs scanned the road ahead, looking the same as just the rest. She wasn't lost (she really wasn't), having almost gotten where everything was in her head, well around each Squad barracks anyhow. But that didn't really help her now, without a Squad she was used to now sneaking back into the academy dorms just to get a good night's sleep (c'mon who does that?), all because she had stupidly chosen to wait.
Jumping as she so often did recently up onto one of the nearby rooftops, making sure she wasn't within a Squad and thus might get thrown out (she didn't want that), before then finally stretching slightly. Maybe she could rest around here for a little while before carrying onwards (what else was there to do after all?), at least she wouldn't have others looking her way due to her hair colour, or her modification she had made to her uniform. Did it really matter that much, honestly? Shaking her head, Canaan allowed her body to slowly lay down, one arm covering golden orbs from the bright light above (she hated that), the female let herself close her eyes for just a moment. To others it would appear that she was sleeping, and little did anyone know, she really wasn't. Still wide awake and reactive to what others did around her, as always. That was just Canaan.... or rather Kyoko for you.
