Is this meant to be more character driven, or will there be a more focused kind of plot? I enjoy the character development and interaction, I just hope things don't slow down too much once we run out of things to talk about.

For now it'll be more character driven. Ramping up will come soon, but for now it'll be a tad slow.

Kyang would probably pause and try to ignore questions of accommodation for the moment. She is a little bit broke. At any rate, I think I'll delay until I can get a post with some dialogue. Someone else can go ahead.

Maybe you could reverse-psych Kyang into thinking she could have it because she's currently poor. That would incite a politeness war.
