I was talking about the hiders more so than the coloring codes.
That is exactly how to fix the hiders. If hiders don't work and their coding is fine, then that means there's something wrong with the coding inside the hiders.
Besides, those errors I mentioned exist, so even if there is in fact something wrong with the coding for the hiders, you should fix those too.
Angelo nodded to Ben as he said to get his guys on the field, which meant that Angelo had to avoid his usual trick with his falcon. Angelo looked around. "Well, it looks like we don't have a lot of options in terms of dueling partners, but lets do our best," Angelo said as he put his cards away and shuffled them before putting them back into his duel disk. "Well, let's go and hope we can win," Angelo said, but the hope was more for him. He was getting sick of losing and he wanted to win.
Ben grinned at Angelo and nodded, setting the duel disk on his arm to the proper settings and shuffling his deck nice and cleanly before inserting it into the duel disk. He bounced up and down and breathed in, slowly psyching himself up for the upcoming duel. One could never be too prepared for a challenge, and Ben wouldn't let this opportunity pass him by to prove himself more than capable as a duelist. But would Lady Luck be so nasty to him as it was last time? "We got this, don't worry! Even if we lose, it's all good. It's only important that we try our best. It's not winning or losing that matters, it's showing off your skills! I'm ready when they are!"
"I'm doing alright," Michelle said in response to Joshua. Michelle looked around and noticed that people were already beginning to find their partners and opponents for the Tag Duels. Not wanting to fall behind and find some good opponents before they were all gone, Michelle said to Joshua, "Um, maybe we should find some people to Duel before it's too late."
"Yeah, I suppose we should, shouldn't we.." Joshua said, getting up from his seat before lazily looking around the room. He quickly spotted Ben and Angelo and pointed them out to Michelle. "What about them? Think your Lightsworns will be able to handle them? Or are you using a new deck now, given how things went last time?"
Michelle looked down over at Ben and Angelo, then at her Duel Disk and replied, "Yeah, sure, they look good. Oh, and I, uh, I'm actually using a new deck. It's not really a, um, a specific archetype. It's about Spell Counters, really."
"So, like a Spellbook deck kinda. Still, that could prove interesting as a combo deck." Joshua said before moving over to Angelo and Ben, tapping the former on the shoulder. "Yo, you two taken?"
Angelo soon noticed that two people came over to them and they asked if they were taken. "Not at all. I'm guessing the both of you want to duel us?" Angelo asked with a smile, thinking that maybe they had a chance against them.
Joshua could've smacked his forehead at the question. "Words fail." He said simply before sighing. "Of course that's what we came for. Nothing else to do here, now is there?"
Angelo frowned a little at him when he said that like a smartass. "No need to be rude about it, you know. After all, you could start by saying 'hi' and 'yes'," Angelo said to him, starting to understand why Angelo has never talked to him before. Angelo was honestly starting to think that Ben was a good choice as a partner.
"True enough, but I would assume anyone approaching me in this class is looking for a duel unless I have reason to believe otherwise." Joshua said.
"Look ladies we can save the arguments for the duel. I'm ready to go when you guys are. I've got my deck shuffled and ready! I'm just waiting on you guys too get your act together and duel. So how about it we going to sit around like a bunch of house wives or are we going to get our games on?" Ben asked with a smile as he pointed at the other boy with his finger. "Give all you got hold nothing back!"
Michelle looked away awkwardly when the arguing began. She would have liked to stop it, but she felt too nervous to attempt it. Fortunately, Ben seemed to already be on the case. On that note, Michelle smiled ever so slightly and suggested, "Let's go find an arena to Duel in."
"I never hold back in a duel. It really comes down to the cards I draw, and if I am able to use them." Joshua said, looking over at Ben. "But I do agree, we'll settle this in a duel."
Angelo sighed a little when Ben had stopped the situation from escalating by saying not to hold anything back and to duel. Angelo didn't like the housewives bit, but Angelo knew he was just saying it so he would get them to move past the argument. "Well, the only thing to do now is find an arena and see who has the better tag team," Angelo said, leading the group to where the arenas were to see which was available.
Angelo soon found an empty arena for them to take as he lead the way, taking one side. He waited for everyone to get in their positions before he called out, "Duel start!" Then just as he said it, the holograms started to work, each players' status was put on screen above the middle of the arena itself.
Angelo saw that it was random chance that he was able to go first. "Looks like I am first to go," Angelo then pulled out 5 of his cards to see what he got. It looked like his hand was prepared to make sacrifices and give him better monsters to work with. Angelo looked through his cards and decided to try this idea he had. "From my hand, I summon Flying Kamakiri #1 in Attack mode," Angelo said as he placed the card on his duel disk, and the holograms went to work making a rainbow ball appear on the field before his insect appeared.
Among his deck of dragons, this was probably his only insect, with its green and orange scales and its 4 insect-like wings. Hopefully bringing the bug out will work in his favor. "With that, I end my turn," Angelo ended.
"Draw!" Michelle said as she drew a card from her deck. It seemed as though she had little to work with, but perhaps it would do for now. "I summon Skilled Dark Magician in Attack Position!" Michelle declared, the blue-robed mage appearing on the field.
Skilled Dark Magician - Level 4, 1900 ATK
"Battle! Skilled Dark Magician, attack Flying Kamakiri #1!" Michelle commanded, the mage firing an orb of dark energy at the hovering insect.
Angelo & Ben - 8000 LP >7500 LP
Angelo waited until Flying Kamakiri #1 was destroyed before grinning. "Thanks for that. I really don't like bugs, but his effect makes it worth it." Angelo said as he put his bug into the graveyard, then explained. " Since you destroyed him as a result of a battle, his special effect comes into play, allowing me to summon one WIND attribute monster with less then 1500 attack points." Angelo said as his deck quickly pointed out the one card he wanted from his deck. "So from my deck, I summon Armed Dragon LV3." With that exclamation the ground below the spot where his bug was reformed the rainbow bubble again before his armed dragon joined the field.
The little dragon gave out a cute roar even though it was less then half the size of Kamakiri with its orange body covered in metal armor befitting its name.
Michelle frowned. The Armed Dragons... Michelle knew them well. It would certainly prove to be a threat, but only if it could level up in time, and Michelle doubted that Ben had the necessary dragon needed to do so. Taking two cards from her hand, Michelle continued, "I place two cards face-down and end my turn." She had nothing that could destroy the Armed Dragon this turn, so she would have to rely on Joshua for that.
Ben wasn't too fond of what the duel had produced him so far. A baby dragon like Armed D. LV 3 wasn't going to do much for him in this situation. However he did have something that would. "Not my most optimal hand, but I'd like too see you guys overcome a knight! My draw!" Ben said picking up his first card. He didn't like the looks of it especially considering his current arrangement but called out loudly that he placed the card he just drew in facedown position in the spell and trap card zones. "Next I call upon your mighty blade, aid me in this war of attrition! Search past the lines of the painted map and claim a lost treasure for your king! Noble Knight Peredur!" shouted Ben as he summoned the stalwart knight to the field.
Noble Knight Peredur - LVL 4, ATK: 1900/ DEF 300
"Now then, you may think Peredur is still too weak to break the tide of battle! But you're deadly wrong! I attach to him two noble arms spell cards! Noble Arms of Destiny and Noble Arms Gallatin!" Ben shouted as a gleaming white shield came into reality shimmering as Peredur grinned and reached out grabbing it. He then pulled a large sword out of a chunk of rock that had also found it's way before the senior knight.
-Effects Noble Knight Peredur Becomes Level 5 and a Dark Monster: Gains 1000 atk (Gallatin) but loses 200 for as long as it is equipped and cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects once per turn. (Noble Arms of Destiny)-
Noble Knight Peredur - ATK 1900 > ATK 2900
"Now then, magicians of your caliber belong in the circus, not my knight's court! Attack, Peredur! Slay the magician with your new found blades' mighty power!" Ben called out as his knight charged forward at the magician, cleaving the man in half where he stood.
Michelle & Joshua - 8000 LP > 7000 LP
Michelle did not mourn the loss of Skilled Dark Magician. She was more worried about the Noble Knight and those Equip Spells.
"Hm, it seems I'm good then! FOLLOW THROUGH, ARMED DRAGON LV3! Armed shot!" Ben called using his partner's monster to attack following up with the 1200 point attack furthering their lead. "Nice try guys, but I'm not some nobody! It'll take a lot more than a magician to beat Ben Carson!"
Michelle & Joshua - 7000 LP > 5800 LP
"Now then, I set one more card face down and end my turn. Let's see what you got up your sleeves, buddy!" Ben said with a smile as he pumped his fist forward with a grin on his face.
"Knights and Dragons eh. While I can appreciate the latter, I can't really say I'm scared of either at this point.. I draw." Joshua said, before glancing at his hand. He knew exactly what he had to do. "I summon Doomcaliber Knight and set two cards face-down and end my turn."
Angelo bit his lip when he saw that Joshua simply summoned his monster and put two cards face down to end his turn. This was odd, and it was making Angelo suspicious about him having a different plan. Either that or he really was confident that Angelo couldn't bring something to the table. "I Draw! Angelo said as he drew his card and he was on the fence on giving his Armed Dragon the upgrade because his opponent's monster would negate the effect and actually screw them up. He decided to skip it this time around because he wanted to get more monsters on the field, not be the big fighter. Angelo looked through his cards and realized that he didn't have much to offer in terms of monsters, considering he was up against 1900 Attack on both sides of the field. "Since I'm not upgrading this turn, I'm going to summon out someone new. I summon Masked Dragon!" Angelo said as he put down his monster card and the hologram started to generate, and soon the red and white dragon appeared on the field.
"With him out, I place one card face down and end my turn," Angelo said, placing a card in the S/T zone and letting it go. He would let Ben have free rein over his monsters if need be.
"I feel it's worth stating that Peredur loses 200 Attack points. He is now down to 2700 Attack points! However, that's still more than enough to mow over even some bigger monsters out there! I leave my Noble Knight in your hands, Angelo! I'm counting on you! Do your best and remember his Noble Arms of Destiny prevents a destruction once per turn, so minus somethng that sends him back to my hand, I'm sitting on a rather strong knight." Ben said with a smile over to Angelo.
"Michelle, I suggest you use your monsters carefully. Shall I assume you know why?" Joshua said, looking over at his partner.
"Yes," Michelle said, looking at Doomcaliber Knight. She knew well enough the effect of that particular monster. So, she would have to play a little differently, but nothing she couldn't handle. Probably. "I activate a Trap card: Pitch-Black Power Stone!" Michelle declared as one of her face-downs flipped up, revealing three dark orbs, each with a strange symbol. "When this card is activated, I can placed 3 Spell Counters on it," Michelle explained. Taking a card from her hand, Michelle continued, "Next I played a Spell card: Reading Up! With this card, I can remove 3 Spell Counters from my side of the field, then draw 2 cards!"
"Hah, nice play there, Michelle! Couldn't have done it better myself. Still seems like a waste of three Spell counters." Ben stated without a hint of malice.
Drawing 2 cards, Michelle then said, "When Pitch-Black Power Stone has no more Spell Counters, it's destroyed." Right on cue, the dark orbs disappeared and the card disintegrated. Looking over her new cards, Michelle took a moment to figure out her next course of action. After thinking it over, Michelle could only come up with one safe plan.
"Battle! Doomcaliber Knight, attack Armed Dragon LV3!" Michelle declared, the monster galloping forward to slice through the feeble dragon.
"Alright let's see what I got coming up next!" Ben stated as he pulled the next card from his deck. He breathed in deeply and calmly. He could use this card later...but for now...it didn't do anything for him. "Alright then, my Peredur now is down to an Attack point total of: 2500! Still, his power is unmatched on the field as of this moment. So then, let's get this thing started! Unlike my partner, I have no reservations about throwing a punch!"
Angelo bit his lip as much as he wanted to disagree with Ben about not having any reservations he knew it would be a complete lie. He just can't get over all the times he lost because he was headstrong. He needed to be this cautious cause he knew Ben would counter his reservations with recklessness. That's partnership if anything else, compensating for someone else's faults.
"Let me show you the power of a real knight! One not completely bathed in darkness! Noble Knight Peredur, show your blade to Doom Caliber Knight! Attack!" Ben declared as he egged on his monster with no fear in his heart. Worst case being that he lost masked dragon to a mirror force.
Joshua watched calmly as the knight charged before pressing a button on his duel disk. A small hole appeared in front of Ben, from which two chains shot out, grabbing Peredur by the wrist and draggin him back. The hole widen and a giant wheel rose from it, attatching Peredur to one side of it.
"Even if your monster cannot be destroyed, it can be bound. Nightmare Wheel. He cannot attack or change battle position. So, in other news, tough luck, try again next game show." Joshua said, giving Ben a bow, a slightly sadistic smile on his face.
"Dang, that's not good. Still... that leaves me in quite the predicament. Too bad my spell and trap card zone was filled, otherwise things may have been different. Still, since I can't attack, I'll end my Battle Phase. Enter Main Phase 2!" Ben said as he quickly ordered his partner's masked dragon into Defense postion to minimize damage that was undoubtly going to come to him.
"Mind if I point out your little problem is mostly your fault." Joshua said to Ben.
"A little bit hot under the hood, aren't you buddy? But nah, I'm not worried and besides, even if I was a bit overzealous, I don't care. Like my little brother says, the only way to go forward is with your sword pointing towards your enemy. In fact, this just makes it easier for me. My king will come and his reign will be long. I was hoping not to use him, but he will rise, I'm sure. Peredur just needs an ally. For now I'll suffer the damage, and I'll wait to see if destiny has any plans for us. Since all I can do right now is switch my partner's monster to defense mode like I just did, I'll end my turn." Ben said with confidence his smile unwavering.
"Draw." Joshua said. After he drew his card, his Nightmare Wheel began turning, grinding on Peredur's armor and showering Angelo and Ben in sparks, reducing their Life Points.
Ben and Agelo: LP:6800 -> LP:6300
Looking at the cards in his hand, he kept things simple. "I set one monster face-down and end my turn." He said.
Angelo sighed, knowing that he just lost a monster that could have tipped the balance. "Well I draw! Angelo said, and he almost face palmed when he realized the card he drew was a double. He had nothing to really offer in terms of his field, but since he had no space for his own spell, he had to go along with it. "I summon to the field Spear Dragon! Angelo said as he soon brought out his large blue dragon with a head shaped like a spear like its namesake.
Spear Dragon - Dragon, Level 4, 1900 ATK, 0 DEF
Once Angelo's dragon was out on the field, he decided to put him to work and empty out his opponents' field. "Don't worry though, because he wont be staying on the field for long, and for this turn, I'm putting Masked Dragon back on the offensive in Attack mode. Spear Dragon, attack Doomcaliber!" Angelo called out as his dragon started his nose dive towards Doomcaliber, or rather his spear dive...
They both got destroyed when Spear Dragon pierced into the Doomcaliber Knight and he sliced the head off the dragon, both dead, but Angelo still had another monster to attack with. "Now that your field is empty I attack your face down with Masked Dragon! Angelo said as his second dragon drew in his breath before blowing out fire at the face down card, revealing several pairs of scissors with a pair of demonic eyes showing between the handles before it was burnt away by the flames.
"Draw!" Michelle said as she drew her next card. A quick look at it, and Michelle just had to smile at the sight. "Nice," Michelle said in satisfaction, then stated, "During the Standby Phase, Nightmare Wheel deals 500 points of damage."
Angelo & Ben - 6300 LP > 5800 LP
Michelle then declared, "I play the Field Spell: Magical Citadel of Endymion." Soon after the card was played, the area around them transformed into a grassy clearing surrounded by a forest, and a giant citadel with rings of runes was behind Michelle and Joshua.
"Next I Summon the Tuner monster Arcane Apprentice in Attack position!" Michelle said, the little brown-and-blue robed creature appearing on the field.
"When Arcane Apprentice is on the field, I can Special Summon Arcane Master from my hand!" Michelle explained, the similarly robed yet more human-looking mage appearing on the field.
Arcane Master - Spellcaster, Level 5, DEF 1800
"When Arcane Master is Special Summoned this way, I can add one '/Assault Mode' monster to my hand," Michelle said, taking the card that was ejected from her deck and revealing 'Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode' for a brief second before placing it into her hand.
"Now I activate the Spell Card: Assault Teleport," Michelle declared. "This allows me to return an '/Assault Mode' monster in my hand back into my deck, and then draw 2 cards." As Michelle drew her 2 cards, she said, "When a Spell Card resolves, Magical Citadel of Endymion gains a Spell Counter when that card resolves." True to her word, a giant red "1" appeared in front of the citadel.
Michelle then picked out one of the cards she drew and said, "I play another Spell Card: Book of Moon. This card forcibly sets one of your monsters, and I target Noble Knight Peredur." Peredur was then turned into a card, still attached to the Nightmare Wheel, and the "1" on Magical Citadel of Endymion became a "2".
With two suitable monsters in place, Michelle then went on to the main event of her turn. "I Tune my Level 2 Arcane Apprentice with my Level 5 Arcane Master," Michelle said, and the two monsters floated up into the air. "Faithful student. Wise teacher. Combine your strength and wield your sealed powers against your foes. Synchro Summon! Level 7, Arcanite Magician!" Michelle chanted as the two monsters transformed into 2 green rings and 5 stars respectively, and a white-robed mage appeared on the field.
Arcanite Magician - Level 7, ATK 400
"When Arcanite Magician is Synchro Summoned, it gains 2 Spell Counters, and 1000 ATK for each Spell Counter on it," Michelle explained.
Arcanite Magician - ATK 400 > ATK 2400
"I activate Arcanite Magician's effect. By removing 1 Spell Counter from my side of the field, I can destroy one card my opponent controls. I target Ben's left face-down card. Dark Lightning!" Michelle said, pointing at the card in the S/T zone at Ben's left. Arcanite Magician's staff then crackled with dark energy, and it fired off a bolt of dark lightning at the card.
Arcanite Magician - 2400 ATK > 1400 ATK
Ben scringed as he looked at the card he had placed down first and slid the card out. "You destroyed my Desperate Tag Trap card. Not very useful right now, so I'd say it's actually good to be rid of it for the moment. It frees up some space so we can actually use some more Spells. Still, it's a shame to see my knight lose his two weapons. Even more so now that I can't regain them. But I won't give up." Ben stated hoping that saying so wouldn't come back to haunt him. He may have gotten them into a jam but one armed dragon that could be tributed or if he drew Ignoble Knight Laudsallyn..."I take it you're not done with us just yet, are you?" Ben said still holding up his confident disposition.
"No, no I'm not," Michelle replied. "Arcanite Magician can keep using its effect as long as I have Spell Counters on the field. So, I also target your other face-down card." Arcanite Magician then went on to fire another dark lightning bolt at Ben's other face-down card.
Arcanite Magician - 1400 ATK > 400 ATK
Ben sighed deeply as he watched as his other trap card was destroyed. Battleguard Rage was a useful trap card and it would've helped him out a lot in this situation. However he couldn't do anything about it regardless. "The day is always darkest before the dawn.." Ben calmly stated as put Battleguard rage in the graveyard. He knew this wasn't going to end well. At least they weren't going to take much more damage this turn.
Michelle was now ready to move on with the next part of her plan. "I activate a face-down Trap card: Assault Mode Activate! This allows me to Tribute my Arcanite Magician and summon a powered up version of it." Michelle explained. "Your powers are unsealed! Let loose destruction on everything they have! Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode!" Arcanite Magician began to float in the air, glowing a white light that only grew brighter and brighter until an shockwave of energy was let loose from it, revealing its white robe disappearing and the bright red armor underneath it.
Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode - Level 9, ATK 900
"Like the original, this Arcanite Magician also gains 2 Spell Counters when it's Special Summoned, and 1000 ATK for each one," Michelle explained.
"Now I activate the effect of Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode," Michelle declared. "By removing 2 Spell Counters from it, I can destroy all cards my opponent controls. I also use the effect of my Magical Citadel of Endymion. Once per turn, if I activate a card effect by removing Spell Counters, I can remove them from the citadel instead." The "2" on the citadel quicked counted down to "0", the number disappearing altogether, and dark storm clouds quickly gathered over Ben and Angelo's side of the field. "Dark Lightning Storm!" Michelle said just before the clouds began shooting down bolt after bolt of black lightning, destroying every card they had on the field.
"Arcanite Magician, attack them directly! White Lightning Blast!" Michelle commanded, and Arcanite gathered more dark clouds together, this time directly above Angelo and Ben. Then, a single, large, powerful lightning bolt shot down from the clouds.
Ben cringed as he felt the wind at his back and the power of the Arcanite Magician clear his field. When all was said and done, Ben could only look at his duel disk and breathe in deeply. He had to do something now... and if he couldn't do it then... then he didn't have a right to call himself a Duelist. Ben looked at his deck. "Noble Knights of Legend, hear my plea... help me in my time of need..." Ben stated as he picked the first card off the top of his deck. Ben looked at the card and sighed in deeply. It was something, but he didn't draw Medraut or Merlin. He needed his king! "Now then, I'll activate my Spell card from my hand! Last Chapter of the Noble Knights, allowing me to bring out Noble Knight Peredur back from the Grave with an equip card! I chose Gallatin!" Ben stated as a book appeared out of the air and fizzled into existence. It flipped pages until it reached the last page and a white light beamed forward from it and Peredur appeared before the people on the field. Like before the effect of Book of Moon happened, the sword Gallatin was held firmly in his hands.
"But that's not all. To prevent any further shenaningans this time around, I reveal my other magic card from my hand. Noble Arms Excaliburn! When equipped with Excaliburn, the Noble Knight in question is no longer a valid target for your card effects! Likewise, he is back to his 2900 ATK point score thanks to Gallatin!" Ben stated as he showed off his monster's ATK rise and his new found invulnerability to most card effects due to Excaliburn. "But! I'm not done just yet! I summon to the field in Attack mode Noble Knight Gawayn! Come forward, warrior of the round table!" Ben stated as Gawayn took his spot next to Peredur. Gawayn looked visibly uncomfortable around the now DARK Peredur, but ready to fight none the less. "I know it's not the best thing to have more counters for you to use, but I'll risk it!"
"Now then, enter battle phase! Noble Knight Peredur, clash with the Arcanite Magician!" Ben shouted as Peredur leapt into combat against the magician.
The two monsters clashed, resulting in a powerful explosion as the two monsters destroyed each other. When the smoke cleared, the original Arcanite Magician appeared on Michelle's field in Defense Position. "When Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode is destroyed, I can Special Summon Arcanite Magician from my Graveyard. However, because she was not Synchro Summoned, she does not gain 2 Spell Counters," Michelle explained.
Through the smoke came Gawayn holding a sword in his hand. Oddly enough it was not his sword, but Gallatin. "When Peredur is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard while equipped with a Noble Arms, I can re-equip one from the Graveyard! I return my Noble Arms of Destiny to my hand. But that's not just all, as you can see Gawayn isn't holding his sword, but Noble Arms Gallatin! When Gallatin is destroyed or sent to the Graveyard once per turn, I can activate its secondary effect and re-equip it to another Warrior monster on the field! Just like Noble Knight Gawayn! Strike him down Gawayn! Slay the Arcanite Magician!" Ben roared as the sword came crashing down towards Arcanite Magician's head.
Arcanite Magician was swiftly cut down, leaving Michelle and Joshua's field devoid of monsters. Michelle was disheartened a bit by Arcanite Magician's loss, and also realized that there were a few mistakes she had made last turn. There was nothing she could do now, though. It was going to be Joshua's department.
"That's enough of my turn. I will not set my Noble Arms or activate it. I'm banking it all on you, Angelo. If Joshua gets anything remotely powerful, we could be in trouble. It's your turn, Joshua." Ben said somewhat disheartened about the turn in events. What could he do? If he didn't draw Merlin, Borz, or Medraut next turn...he didn't want to think about that. He needed to stay strong he won't lose to these two if he could help it!
"Draw!" Joshua said, drawing his card, looking at it, he couldn't help but smile. "Time for the nightmares to begin. First off, I summon Fluffal Dog."
On Joshua's field, an oversized plushie dog appeared, letting out a few barks and wagging its tail happily.
Fluffal Dog: Level 4, ATK:1700, DEF: 1000
"With his effect, I search my deck for a Fluffal Monster or an Edge Imp Sabres. I add Fluffal Bear to my hand." Joshua said, letting his disk eject the card and shuffle his deck after he added it to his hand. "Then I activate the Spell Card Polymerization to fuse my Fluffal Dog with the Edge Imp Chain in my hand. Mad animal, bound in chains, your manical laugh haunts your foes as you leave them powerless. Fusion Summon, Level 5, Frightfur Sheep!"
In front of Joshua, a hole appeared, in which his Dog and a monster that looked like a collection of chains with glowing demonic eyes between the chains sank into. Two smaller portals appeared from which more chains shot out of and into the bigger hole before dragging up Joshua's fusion monster, a demonic toy sheep, wrapped up in chains. The creature let out a manical laugh as it appeared.
Frightfur Sheep: Level 5, ATK:2000, DEF:2000
"I'll also activate Tower of Babel!" Michelle declared, revealing her face-down card. "Like my Magical Citadel, it gains a Spell Counter every time a Spell Card resolves." Sure enough, after Polymerization was resolved, one part of the tower extended from the ground.
"When Edge Imp Chain is sent to the graveyard, I can add one Frightfur card from my deck to my hand. I add the Spell Card, Frightfur Fusion and with that, I will end my turn." Joshua said. Sheep would be a valuable wall. And if not, he had a back up ready.
"I don't like the look of that card, Angelo. I don't know what the heck a Fluffal is, but I don't think it'd be wise to just bludget it without knowing what it is. If you want to attack it, go ahead. Just be careful, because anything worth sacrificing card advantage for isn't something to take for granted. I certainly don't want another Arcanite Magician incident. Regardless, I'm leaving your turn up to you, and I've made mistakes myself this duel, but I can't fight this duel alone. My knights have done some heavy lifting. It's all on you now, but hey, even if we lose, it happens. You can't win them all. Just focus on having fun." Ben said to Angelo hoping he could rouse the boy into some action. He was vaguely aware that the Tower of Babel wasn't something too dangerous. At the same time, he knew it couldn't be good it if was also generating Spell Counters. Whatever the situation, he knew they had to act, and quickly. If not, then it was game over for them.
Angelo sighed and he cracked his fingers a little getting himself ready for what might be the swing move on this turn. "Well, I know that better then most I have lost a lot already, so I'm going to try and get us both a win," Angelo said as he drew his next card, seeing that it was an old friend of his as he smiled a little. "From my hand, I summon my good friend Mist Valley Falcon!" Angelo said as he placed down his monster, and soon the avian warrior took to the field, ready to fight again.
Mist Valley Falcon - Winged Beast, 2000 ATK, 1200 DEF
"However, that wont be all. I activate my Spell card: Reload!" Angelo called out as the Spell card appeared, and the tower got another level that towered higher into the sky. Angelo then put his two cards in his deck as it shuffled to give him two more cards. He smiled when he finally got a card he hasnt seen in his other duels. He never thought he would get this card in a duel, but maybe this was a sign that they could win.
"Now I'm going to activate the card I had face down," Angelo said as he pressed the button on his disk, and it showed that it was Monster Reincarnation. "So by sacrificing one card in my hand," Angelo said as he put down his one of his new cards into the grave. "I get to bring one card back, and so I can show im a good sport, I'm going to bring back my partner's monster, his Noble Knight Peredur, and put it back into his hand," Angelo said as he the card came back from his partner's Graveyard so he could put it back into his hand. Once more, he saw that Babel tower was another level higher. Now it only needed one more Spell before it would be destroyed, and knowing the person that is after him they would no doubt get rid of the tower in some way or risk having no spells this turn. "For now, I'll end my turn, Angelo said, leaving his falcon in Attack mode so that way his sheep couldn't attack Angelo without losing the sheep in the process. Hopefully Angelo had made a big enough swing so that they have a chance to win this game...
"Draw!" Michelle declared, drawing a card from her deck. Taking a look at it, Michele could tell that it wasn't a bad card, but it also wasn't one that would be useful at the moment. Examining the field, Michelle attempted to formulate a plan of action. With the cards in her hand and current state of the field, Michelle could produce a reasonable plan, but the biggest unknown factor right now was Joshua's monster, Frightfur Sheep. It had rather weak stats for its Level, which probably meant it had a strong effect to counteract it. However, Michelle had no idea what that effect was. "Hey, um, uh, Joshua," Michelle began. "What is Frightfur Sheep's effect?"
"It's like an Ancient Gear monster. In other words, it seals off their ability to activate Spells, Traps, and Effects when it attacks. It has another trick, but I'll let you discover that one if you have it attack that annoying bird-man. Though I suggest caution after you do. Then again, they don't have any possible responces to our attacks, so go wild." Joshua replied
With that new piece of information, Michelle now had a much better plan of action she could use. "Thank you, Joshua," Michelle said gratefully, deciding to trust his words. Her mind set, Michelle took a card from her hand and said, "I summon Magical Exemplar in Attack position." The long-haired green-robed mage soon appeared on the field, smiling as she had her arms to her side in an inviting gesture.
Magical Exemplar - Level 4, ATK 1700, DEF 1400
"Now I activate Magical Exemplar's effect," Michelle continued. "Once per turn, I can remove any number of Spell Counters from her, and then I can Special Summon a Spellcaster-type monster from my hand or Graveyard with the same Level as the amount of Spell Counters I removed. Of course, I can use Spell Counters from Magical Citadel instead, so I will remove 2 Spell Counters, allowing me to Special Summon Arcane Apprentice from my Graveyard." Magical Exemplar lifted her arms into the air, and the small robed minion was back onto the field.
Arcane Apprentice - Level 2, ATK 400, DEF 1000
"Finally, I Tune my Level 2 Arcane Apprentice with my Level 4 Magical Exemplar!" Michelle declared, the two monsters rising into the air. "Young prodigy, wielder of great power. With your sealed arcane arts, defeat your foes! Synchro Summon! Level 6! Arcanite Apprentice!" Michelle chanted as the two monsters transformed into 2 green rings and 4 white stars, respectively. Then a white light shined, and on Michelle's field appeared a young girl wearing a white robe and a serious expression, and holding a green wand in her right hand.
Arcanite Apprentice - Level 6, ATK 400, DEF 1600
"Arcanite Apprentice gains 2 Spell Counters when Synchro Summoned, but only gains 800 ATK for each one," Michelle explained. "Not only that, but when Arcane Apprentice is used as Synchro Material for a Synchro Summon, I can add an 'Assault Mode Activate' to my hand."
Arcanite Apprentice - ATK 400 > ATK 2000
"I switch Frightfur Sheep to Attack position, and then I move on to the Battle Phase. Frightfur Sheep, attack Mist Valley Falcon!" Michelle commanded. The mangled sheep phushie whirred its chains, then fired a red laser from its mouth. The winged warrior dodged it and rushed forward to pierce the monstrosity, but as it did so, the laser had redirected itself and struck the winged man from behind, destroying both monsters in the process.
"Like your laughter, you never end. Rise again to haunt our foes. From the grave, I activate Frightfur Sheep's effect to summon it to the field again, in Attack Position!" Joshua said. The chains that had held up his monster before came back to life, dragging it back up from the grave. "On top of the ressurection, my monster gains an additional 800 Attack Points!"
Frightfur Sheep - ATK: 2000 > 2800
Michelle, impressed by its survivability, now saw the logic behind this action. With this effect, it could destroy both of their monsters in the same turn with practically zero cost. "Frightfur Sheep, attacked Noble Knight Gawayn!" Michelle commanded once more. Frightfur Sheep complied, firing an even more powerful beam at the knight, who had futilely tried to deflect the laser with its sword, only for it to shatter and have the knight get destroyed in the process.
Ben & Angelo - 3400 LP > 3300 LP
"Arcanite Apprentice, direct attack on Ben and Angelo! White Plasma Bolt!" Michelle said. Arcanite Apprentice's wand crackled with energy, and, with a flick of the wrist, she fired an orb of crackling energy at the two boys.
Ben & Angelo - 3300 LP > 1300 LP
"I place 2 cards face-down and end my turn," Michelle said.
"So, last time you faced my nightmares, they didn't get to do much. Happy they're on your side now?" Joshua asked Michelle, giving her a small smile.
Michelle blushed at Joshua's words, then looked away awkwardly and said, "M-maybe..."
"Hey Sheep, Michelle wants to give you a hug!" Joshua shouted at his monster jokingly. The monster replied by turning towards Michelle curiously.
Michelle's blush intensified, embarrased to even be having this conversation, but said nothing in response. A small smile did appear on her face, though.
"There isn't much point to taking my turn, but I will anyway. I draw." Ben picked up the card from his deck and breathed out deeply. He looked at the card and his eyes teared up a little "You guys....you really do mean the world to me. Even now, you still want to fight on. If it wasn't for Babel.... thank you, my knights." Ben shook off his sentimentality. "I won't go down without a fight. I summon Merlin, Sage and advisor to the noble knights!"
Merlin - 1400 ATK, 300 DEF level 3, DARK
"I'll use his effect to Special Summon Noble Knight Drystan in Defense mode from my deck to the field."
Drystan appeared with his harp in hand and then looked back at his lord and player before bowing to him and then turning his attention back to his enemies. Ben nodded at him.
"From my hand, I activate the card Noble Arms of Destiny, but wait you say! Tower of Babel is at 3! Yeah it is, but the card specifically states when the card resolves! And when I attach this to Drystan, I can target one face-up card on the field and destroy it! So before the card effect resolves itself, I can use Drystan to destroy the Babel Trap card!" Drystan grabbed the shield, his effect activating. He targeted the Trap card, destroying it before it could destroy his owner.
"As Tower of Babel is destroyed, the Spell Counters it had are then transferred to the Magical Citadel of Endymion," Michelle said, the number on it counting upward to "7".
However that still wasn't enough. "My turn concludes. I have nothing left to offer," Ben stated as he sat down on the floor and breathed out deeply. If he was going to lose, he may as well be comfortable while he did. If he had drawn Merlin one turn sooner... it wasn't something to dwell on, but at the end of the day it did make him wonder if he could have won.
"Draw." Joshua said. "You two put up a nice fight and had us in the corner for a bit. But, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. Now, since your monster can survive two blows, we'll have to get over that. First off, I activate the effect of the Fluffal Bear I added to my hand last turn. By sending him to the Graveyard, I can take the Spell card Toy Vendor and set it."
Joshua's deck ejected the card, which he put face-down into his Spell/Trap zone. "Then I activate the Spell card Frightfur Fusion. With this, I can Fusion Summon a Frightfur monster by banishing the needed materials from my Graveyard. I banish Edge Imp Sabres and Fluffal Bear! Claws of the demon and fangs of the beast! Become one and reveal to us your new form! Fusion Summon! Come forth, horrifying beast that shreds all! Frightfur Bear!"
Fluffal Bear appeared on Joshua's field before several pairs of scissors tore the toy in several places, leaving a mangled toy in its place.
Frightfur Bear: Level 6, ATK 2200, DEF 1800
"Battle Phase. Frightfur Bear, attack Drystan!" Joshua said. His new creature roared before throwing a punch at the knight, its right arm extending to close the gap. Drystan raised his shield and defended himself, Noble Arms of Destiny preventing his destruction. "Frightfur Sheep, you're up next!"
Sheep complied, firing its laser at the knight, who once again raised his shield, which shattered after a few seconds and allowed the knight to be destroyed.
"And since my partner did a lot of the work, her monster shall finish this show off. Arcanite Apprentice, finish this!" Without any hesitation, the wizard raised her wand and fired another orb of energy at the boy boys, which exploded between them.
Ben & Angelo - 1300 LP > 0 LP
Victors: Michelle and Joshua
Ben shielded his eyes from the blast, but shrugged off the loss with a deep sigh. "Good game," Ben mumbled out as he got up and looked at Angelo then back at his deck. "Don't worry, boys, next time we'll win for certain. You guys aren't even meant for tag duels anyways. Still, you performned admirably, and that's all I could ask from you." Ben said as he put his cards back in the deck from the graveyard. He wanted to say something to Angelo, but he couldn't think of any words. And truth be told, he was somewhat bitter at his loss. Still, he couldn't bring himself to say anything, so he merely waved a goodbye to everyone and waited to see what would happen next. Maybe he would go watch some of the other duels. Maybe he would go and chill out with the instructor ask him for some tips. Regardless, Ben felt no shame. He gave it his all. That's all he could've asked for.
Angelo groaned as he covered his eyes from the blast and watched as their Life Points went to zero that quick. Angelo knew they weren't going to win. His deck wasn't meant to be tag teamed with others. Angelo watched as Ben just left. No doubt he was bitter about losing, but then again, Angelo had been feeling that since he got here. "Good duel, guys, thanks," Angelo said as he left to go and watch the other duels go down and wait so he can go to the card shop and get some new cards for his deck something needed to change or he would always lose.
Michelle watched as Joshua pulled off the win and sighed in relief as they won. The Duel had been pretty interesting in the beginning, especially with the 2900 ATK Peredur, but they had eventually managed to overcome the obstacles. Michelle smiled and nodded to Ben and Angelo as they left, then turned to Joshua and asked, "So, um, what should we do now?"
"Relax? Tell the teach we won? Wait for the end of class? OR maybe you can explain why your face was so red earlier." Joshua said.
"Eh?" Michelle said in surprise at the last part, her face turning red once more. "T-that's, uh, well, um, y-you..." Michelle stuttered as she looked down, her eyes darting left and right as she tried to get her thoughts in order.
"... you are so easy to tease. I bet I could say almost anything and your face would resemble a tomato. Still, that will likely be a charming point for some guys." Joshua said before putting his cards back into his deck. "Anyway... I think that deck works better for you. Seems like your comfortable with it without much effort. So, I think it might suit you better then the Lightsworns did."
Michelle realized then that Joshua had been teasing her, which made her feel rather... annoyed with him. Giving off an annoyed sigh, Michelle then responded, "Thanks." As Michelle removed the cards from her Graveyard, she paused when she got to the two Arcanite Magicians. Picking them up to admire them for a second, she then placed them and the rest of her cards back into their respective places. Once that was done, Michelle looked back at Joshua and said, "So, I'll see you next time, then?"
"Whenever that will be, milady." Joshua said, giving Michelle a bow, though the smile on his face said that he wasn't being serious with the action. Straightening back up, he gave her a wave before walking away.
Accidentally made a post in the CS section. I'm not sure if the mods still take requests to delete posts but it's not that big a deal. Just wanted to say I made am move as Andre.
So, I was coming up with this card, but I'm not entirely sure if this card is balanced or not.
Name: Twin Fusion Spell type: Normal Effect: Fusion Summon two Fusion Monsters from your Extra Deck using monsters from your hand or your side of the field that can be used as Materials for both. You can only activate one 'Twin Fusion' per turn.

Thoughts, guys?
Yeah, I could use this to make Fluffals a tad bit busted. I could use this to summon Wolf and Tifer at the same time or maybe two Sabre-Tigers, who then in turn would summon two Frightfurs from the graveyard. And, if I used three cards to summon them, make them immune to battle and card effect destruction while also granting all Frightfurs 800 extra attack points.
