Personality: Afruccio at first glance looks like the most carefree person you would imagine. He will go through the town telling all the women how beautiful they are and only hoping they would spend a little time with him, hopefully for a cup of tea perhaps. The only problem is that women never seem to like him, most likely sensing his flirty attitude, or seeing him say lines to another women a few minutes ago. Either or he never gives up and will always try his best to make every woman feel beautiful.

Deep down Afruccio wants to protect people, especially women after the death of his mother Amalya. During his training for the Versanian Guard he would also be berated for his peculiar fighting style, almost as if he were dancing with his opponent, a style he developed all his own. If you would ever talk to him you would know he never stops smiling or laughing, even in the face of extreme adversity, which has rubbed some people the wrong way, but its the way he lives. His friends can only describe him in one such way, Afruccio is Afruccio.

Special Moments:When Afruccio was a small boy he grew up in slight poverty with his mother. His mother worked in The Grumpy Queen, she was caught dancing by Shinnosuke and after that point she became the main attraction to his tavern. She gathered quite a bit of attention and many suitors tried for her hand, but she rejected them all in order to take care of Affrucio. One man did not take kindly to rejection and began to be more aggressive with Amalya; one night things went too far, as she was teaching Affrucio some of her dancing behind the tavern the man came around and asked her one more time. She proceeded to snap and yell at him to leave her alone, which he then answered with a cloaked knife as he tackled her and stabbed her repeatedly, Affrucio looked on in horror as the man got up and told him that it was because of him that his mother wouldn't love him as he dashed off into the night. Affrucio then collapsed and cried out for his mother, and in her last few breaths she reached for his hand and told him words he would never forget, "Afruccio, don't cry, you always had such a beautiful smile... *cough* Please never stop smiling...I love you Afruc...." as she then passed away.

He loved how beautiful his mother was and how she looked while she danced with such natural grace. He would ask her to teach him and of course she would teach him and these small times with his mother will never escape him and he will hopefully teach his children.
Current Events: Afruccio recently left his old guard post due to his growing wanderlust, he is currently traveling town to town flirting with women and lending his sword if danger arises. Currently in a bit of a dour mood due to a recent rejection.

Personality: Lerraina often walks the line of good and evil, or rather dances carelessly within the shades of grey that blur it. While she cares very little for the laws of man, she is unwavering in her own code, constantly setting the bar, and adhering to any punishments she feels necessary. Typically her demeanor is calm and poised, quiet, observant and calculating.

She is the anti-hero, claiming to be selfish, vulgar, spiteful, vain and greedy. Simply said, every action and word must, inevitably serve her own needs or wants. And even when they don't, she would justify that it does to the point of no return.

Age has allowed her to build walls, has taught her how to mask her true feelings with humor and sass, despite knowing full well that her walls are great deterrents to achieving the bliss she often reads in story books. But it allows her to focus on more important things. Besides she has decided to cross that bridge when she gets to it, should the time come when she is ready to settle down, or if and when someone comes along that is actually worth the trouble.

History

Childhood: Lerraina was born in a whore house, daughter to one of the most requested and highest paid courtesans employed. She never minded the environment and for the most part, was happy there. She was never treated poorly, was never left wanting, as most others there treated her as if she were their own. Spoiled as she was, the precocious little girl lived with all her might. She was bold, outspoken, and mischievous. But she was also kind and good natured.

Her mother would often tell her lavish stories of who her father was. Each time the story itself would change, but for the most part, he was always some rich prince who fell in love with a woman below his rank and grudgingly left, without knowledge of his unborn daughter, to pursue his crown and the duties and responsibilities that went along with it. It was a story of fate and destiny, true love at first sight and the burdens of adulthood.

At the age of 10, without any word from her mother, the young girl was sold to a couple who lived on a farm, just on the outskirts of town. It wasn't until years later had she been told that a wealthy client of her mother's had wanted to purchase her time on more of a permanent basis, but only on the condition that she remove herself from the shackles of motherhood.

She spent the next 7 years as just a freckled face in the sea of children. 10 mouths to feed, 10 bodies to fit into beds, to clothe and care for. And for a couple that were only in it for the benefits they were receiving from the town, and the free labor they were getting on the farm, Lerraina was often left to fend for herself against the 9 other hungry, angry mouths that battled for attention.

Adulthood: She was among the first allowed to leave the care of her adoptive parents, but for some reason she couldn't bring herself to leave the isles. She had fell into the groove of things, and even worse, had fell into a crowd of mischievous no goodies.

Committing petty crimes on an island mostly ruled by the Pirates and other such scum that frequented the cobbled streets wasn't the most original way to spend your days, nor was it the safest. But, if you were lucky, you would get taken in by one of the local groups or gangs. Many favored Lerraina, but it was mostly her company and her looks that had attracted their attention. Over the next few years, she was taught how to fight, how to survive, how to move about quietly and scout out the crowds and just absorbed anything anyone would teach her. She favored the bow and as she weaved her way in the many circles of crime, she studied under a few and mastered her craft. She was a great archer, with much potential, but there was still something missing. She was the bastard child of a whore and brought up on a farm, what could she possibly provide them?!

She would never commit to one group or another. There were so many on Mintarn that were there to escape, so many that had so much to offer, from all different walks of life. And that interested her. Whether it is what ultimately caused her current situation, one can only speculate. She had been involved with a few who had been sent on a scouting mission, a new ship had docked in town, it's flags were unknown. The mission had failed, or rather she was framed for the death of a man, unknown to their island, but apparently a member of the group she was scouting with. Her punishment was either death or exile. It wasn't much of a choice really, of course she chose exile, but there was a catch. There was always a catch.
Special Moments: There were 2 moments that Lerraina would never forget for as long as she is alive. The first would be the moment her mother had given her up.

The second was a bit harder to run from. She was kept in a prison, her captors none that she had met before, tortured for days for information she didn't have. Upon her exile, she had received the mark of “traitor”, burned into her flesh.

Current Events: Being forced to leave the only place she knew as home, she set out to explore the world. She has no plans of returning to the Moonshae Isles, and infact, seeks to get as far away from them as she can. She'll often find menial work, and piss away her wages at taverns. But she is always on the move. It is more of a yearning for knowledge that drives her travels. She could never figure out why, nor was she given any explanation of what happened. And while her mind may drift to the salty sea air that surrounded the isles, it is towards the future that she keeps her gaze locked on.

She wears a sheer mantle that flows to the ground and is trimmed in the same material as her halter top, usually pulled over her arms to hide their definition.

Personality: Sana in the past has been known to be rather quiet and untrusting, hard to get close to. She preferred to be left alone and detests asking for help; a very stubborn woman who preferred to do things alone than in a group. Magic

+3 Spells for previous campaigns (listed below) - All spells are cast by vocal song or song/dance combo - Effects begin as her voice and voice/movements begin. Duration's are either for the length of the song or specified time below

• Trust Me(Beauty From Pain): An inspire trust spell that is activated when she sings. Spell has a 75% chance of working on one target in the line of sight. Effect lasts 20 minutes - can cast once a day - If trust on some level is not gained after the 20 minutes the person it was cast on has a chance of lashing out at Sana with a feeling of betrayal setting in
• Courageous Heal(Everything Burns): A triple effect spell activated when she sings. It hits all ally's in a fight. It heals up to moderate wounds, gives a +2 to attack hits and +2 to damage. Does not work on Sana and drains her terribly after casting. Exhaustion takes over and she can't even stand. Plus to damage and to hit lasts 5 rounds. (Side effect is due to the nature of the spell it will make those that it hits feel more courageous during the casting.) - Can cast once every three days.
• Beacon(Flashlight) This song brings about a pillar of light that breaks through low light, darkness and obscured vision. (Such as mist, fog, smoke and rain). It has no special effect other than being able to be seen from up to a mile away no matter the level of light or density of obscurity. Cannot be seen through rock or stone but will follow a path until it reaches the sky if possible. The song itself will carry with the light and can be heard as far as the light can be seen. The light will continue as long as the song continues and fade once it stops. The end verse can continue to be repeated to last as long as the singer can sing. It can be cast once a day but if it is an extended version of the song it takes away from the next days ability. Each time it is extended, it takes another day to recharge it. Causes Sana's peripheral vision to be darkened and clouded for double the time it was cast for.
• Masquerade(Burn With Me): During the course of the song Sana is able to completely change the look and voice of herself and up to one more party member. The illusion is true even if touched and lasts 24 hours, it can be dispersed by break illusion spells or if the person it is cast on speaks the words "The Masquerade Is Over" - Can be cast once every 12 hours. Causes terrible headaches once complete for 2-4 hours
• Winter Storm(Cold But I'm Still Here): This is currently Sanas only true attack spell. During casting the temperature of an area that spans out in a 60 foot radius around her will begin to cool down, the ground will frost over as well as other materials that normally would in such conditions. Using her hand movements she can direct up to five beams of ice from her palms during the song to strike opponents or other applications as she made need.(such as a wall of ice or to freeze a lake to be able to walk on) - she may contain her five beams to the end of the song and let it out as a single attack that will form a wall of ice three feet thick and ten feet high in a circle with a 30 foot diameter. Ice attacks will melt as normal for air temp. Wall will last until she stops singing as long as it isn't destroyed. (She may repeat the song until she cannot sing anymore to keep the wall up but may not do anything else but sing.) - can be cast once a week. Gives Sana a chill to her bones an hour after casting that last until it is slept off. There is a 1 in 50 chance that hypothermia will set in sending her into a state of shock.
• As You Were(Awake and Alive - The Quickening): Sana is able to transfer her life force to another to heal them if they enter that critical point where death is emanate. Half of her life force and up to 33% of her blood will flow from her to another. It can only be cast once every month and Sana is nearly comatose after the casting; it will take her 1-3 D4 Days to recover. It will not heal severed limbs and cannot heal a beheading. Person will come out any unconscious state nearly immediately; they will still be in the moderate damage range but potions and spells can finish the healing process. Takes the entire length of the song to cast; Sana will glow a Sand color aura as she casts and the aura will dim as it leaves her and transfers to her intended target.

History

Parents: Father and Mother are both dead; killed by slavers. She did not have a good relationship with either of them but was able to at least have closure with her father before his death.
Siblings: Ramara Rawn - Younger Sister (presumed dead); Ariana Rawn - Little Cousin, in the care of Sister Agnes currently
Childhood: She comes from a wandering band of gypsy that she left long ago for she refused to become what they wanted her to be. Another dancer and entertainer for the group. She was a tom boy growing up who preferred to spend time with a bow and arrow than a person. Though she never sought the way of her people she is very defensive of them and knows their ways. Skilled in song, dance, showmanship. Nothing traumatic happened during her childhood or growing up but being the typical teenager, hated what her parents wanted for her and in the end left those she knew for a world she wanted to know. Refusing to become the leader of the troupe lead to a fall out between her and her parents. Sana left home soon as she could and set out on her own.

Adulthood: Over the years she has worked in various towns trading furs from animals she has killed on her journeys and worked mercenary from time to time as wars broke out, utilizing her skills as a marksman. Being caught up in several fogs sent her from one place to another over time and she just finally was able to get back to her home realm. It has been a long hard road with a lot of twists and turns. How she managed to get back she still doesn't understand but perhaps it was just the luck of the draw. She looks out for fogs constantly to ensure she doesn't get taken again. She is really tired of it.

Special Moments: While on a hired mission with a group of adventurers Sana was captured and taken hostage by a Lych. Nearly being sacrificed on a stone table before she was rescued. Talk of war after her being set free sent her and other wandering the lands trying to get as far away as possible from the area. Neither wanting to be caught up in another war.

Being hired to collect special items to cure a disease spreading through an orphanage a group of slavers invaded the local town. Sana and some others took out for the Slavers camp to put an end to it. During this Sana was badly burned and in the remaining slaves she found her father nearly dead, unable to help him they made peace. Sticking around after the others left to bury her father she came across a hidden pit where a little girl was being held hostage away from the others. Finding out it was her cousin she took the child and put her in the care of the nun running the orphanage until she could return and care for the child herself.

Current Events: The Fog, ever the fog that plagues Sana and whisks her off from one area to another. It dropped her off near the orphanage months ago. Still needing to take care of somethings and afraid to take her cousin with her she set out. First stopping at an old friends only to find out she had left on a mission. Sana set out to find Kyra and see if she could help.

Personality:
Ntaj enjoys fighting, but not just for the fight itself, but why he fights in the first place. Having context to a fight, even if it’s just for survival, makes it all the more enjoyable. He can find pleasure in the simple things in life knowing that they serve a far greater purpose than the simple act would imply, and often makes up such reasoning behind some of the smallest gestures. Ntaj dislikes liars and thus he does his best to not be a liar, being honest and keeping to his world whenever possible. He dislikes deception, though he understands the need of stealth, so the best way for him to keep a secret is to make it seem like there is no secret at all. Ntaj has no sense of place nor shame, and often goes out of his way to mingle with those above and below his status as if he was their equal.

Despite how Ntaj likes to make something out of nothing, he dislikes complexity if he thinks there’s a simpler way to solve an issue or explain a motivation. He also dislikes complexity when it’s made to justify something wrong to him, more so if it’s just a ruse or if it was kept a secret from him precisely to fool him. Ntaj would waste much of his time and resources pouring his full might onto an problem and finding a solution through simple brute force, even if a more subtle approach could be possible. Ntaj is much like a bomb; while he’s capable of remaining dormant until the right time, once he acts, he acts explosively.

Elementals, a childhood fear. It first started with bedtime stories about uncontrollable forces of nature bring ruin to everything in their path, and then a few close calls with actual Elementals who have severely wounded Ntaj and killed his friends. They couldn’t even kill the monster, and since then Ntaj has feared these incorporeal embodiments of nature.

Being underground, because Ntaj once fell into a very deep ravine and got lost for a few days. He felt like at any second he would get crushed to death, and he would never see the sun or anyone else again.He hates the idea of being buried even after death, and wants to be burned instead.

Gnomes, because they looked strange and unnatural to him, also because gnomes poisoned him and sold him into slavery at different points in his life.

Likes:
Hunting, because it was one of the few family activities he did with his father and brothers before their falling out. It was through hunting that Ntaj had some grasp over the necessity of being patient and quiet, subtle and underhanded, to make the best use of his powers. Ntaj prefers the minimalistic approach, using one powerful move to take out his prey instead of chasing them doggedly.

Talking to animals. Ever since he started training with the clan shaman, he has rituals that allow him to speak with creatures and see the world through their sense. And while most creatures don’t have much to say to him, it’s always interesting to have their perspective on things.

Scrimshaw and woodcarving, which make up a bulk of his hobbies. Another thing that his father taught him to do. Ntaj could actually make a pretty good carpenter if he ever wants to settle down in a city.

Carving bone and wood isn’t the only thing Ntaj likes to make; the act of making anything, from food to clothes to works of art, interests Ntaj greatly. He wants to make money and join a guild of artisans.

Pipe Weed, a halfling tobacco. Ntaj has grown a taste for the stuff and enjoys it’s calm and soothing effects. He typically smokes it in his pipe after a battle to calm his nerves and reduce fatigue.

Making things, whether it's a new carving, food, or something he's never done before. The power of creation is awesome.

Eating, because Ntaj always grew up having something to eat whenever he wanted. While he isn't too picky, he is greedy and has a habit of picking off other people's plates. He's more than willing to share, assuming that he's overloaded with food already.

Dislikes:
Liars, as Ntaj is notoriously horrible at any sort of deception that doesn’t involve simply staying out of sight.

Surprises, related to above, having to face unexpected things makes Ntaj panic and do foolish things to address something that likely didn’t need his full attention.

Caves, related to his fear of being underground. Even if the cave is technically “Above ground”, the idea that there was a massive amount of dirty ready to crush him makes him very nervous. While he’s willing to enter caves and mines if he has to, he’ll only do it if he has to.

Clothing. While they can be quite pretty, he prefers to go without as they restrict his movements and make him itchy. He likes boots though.

Reading and speaking common, because common is his weakest language. He’s much more familiar with Orcish and Elven, oddly enough, and would prefer to speak in either language whenever possible.

Being referred to as a barbarian. While it’s true that his people do not live the same lifestyle as some other civilizations, they are nonetheless a civilization, and not just a horde of roaming marauders. Even their war-like nature, while not entirely an exaggeration, is merely one aspect of their life that has become normal for them, and regardless they have other industries and interest than just battle. Ntaj prefers the term Berserker when referring to his combative style.

• Darkvision: Ntaj is capable of seeing up to 60 feet in total darkness. He can make out details within the dark, though he cannot perceive colors, just different shades of grey.
• Beastial: The orc blood in Ntaj manifests in the form of particularly prominent orc features, exacerbating his bestial appearances. He has keen senses including sight, hear, and scent, as well as prominent tusks he can use to deliver a nasty bite to his enemies.
• Endurance: Ntaj has trained under the brutal service of orcish shamans for many years, as well as served under the harsh conditions of slavery, combined with his natural orcish durability, has made Ntaj particularly tough. He’s been known to not only survive potentially lethal attacks, but also endure great punishment from relentless swimming or running well past exhaustion, being exposed to hostile weather conditions, suffocation and breathing lost, starvation and thirst, and sleeping in armor. Even while nude Ntaj has a sort of unarmored defense that allows him to rely solely on his constitution as natural armor.
• Wanderer: Ntaj has an excellent memory for maps and geography, and can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around him. He generally has no difficulties traverse natural obstacles such as rocky terrain or thick forests, but is still impeded by magical obstructions.
• Survivalist: Ntaj quite adept at living off the land and can find food and fresh water for himself and a few other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth. He’s also capable of some level of stealth to hide from perceptive prey, often employing camouflage and careful placement to ambush prey.
• Reckless Attack: By forgoing a defensive effort, Ntaj can deliver more accurate and furious blows, willingly accepting whatever harm would come to him to ensure that he has advantage on his next attack.
• Danger Sense: Ntaj has an uncanny sense for danger, and with his own dislike of deception and his beastial senses, he can often detect harm before it befalls him.
• Weapon Proficiency:
  Swords - Ntaj is skilled in the use of slashing and chopping blades, specifically longswords, falchions, and scimitars. Ntaj prefers one-handed swords over two-handed for flexibility.
  
  Axes - As traditional orcish weapons, Ntaj is also proficient with axes ranging from throwing axes, light axes, battle axes, greataxes, and halberds with a prominent axe-like blade such as Bardiches. Ntaj is also capable of wielding the rare and exotic Orc Double Axe, though he lacks the two-weapon fighting style to use it to it's full potential.
  
  Clubs - A simple weapons that Ntaj is nonetheless skilled in using, Ntaj knows how to use clubs and other blunt rods as lethal weapons. It could be anything as simple as a branch or a a monk's bo staff, Ntaj knows how to use it effectively as a weapon, If only by clubbing his enemy with it. He is specifically skilled in the use of clubs, staffs, and maces.
  
  Cetsus - Another traditional orc weapon, a specialty of Dark Star, Cetsus are weaponized gauntlets with an additional variety spikes, armored plating, and studs to increase the damage done with a simple striker with one's fist. While it does not grant Ntaj as much martial flexibility as a true fist fighter would have, it at least allows him to fight back without an actual weapon in hand. Cetsus can be worn while using objects such as weapons and shields, but their design limits dexterity, making it difficult to do tasks that require delicate use of one's fingers.
• Shield Fighting: Unconventional to some, Ntaj is skilled at using a shield as a weapon. He bashing, punching, slashing, or smashing his shield onto the enemy, Ntaj is also capable of using his shields for a variety of combat maneuvers from simply knocking an opponent off his feet to disarming them using only his shield. He's skilled in the use of bucklers, light shields, and heavy shields, which may be adorned with additional parts such as spikes or bladed edges. Ntaj is also capable of using a tower shield in combat, but cannot preform as many complex maneuvers beyond blocking and pushing/bashing.
• Athletics: In addition to his combat training, Ntaj has been extensively trained in athletics and other strength exercises. Even without tapping into his primal rage, Ntaj can apply his strength to move things that are far heavier than he is, run faster and longer, swim in the roughest of currents, and jump longer and higher. Ntaj applies these athletes in a fight through his combat maneuvers, disarming, knocking down, sundering, pushing, or even grappling his enemies.
• Tough: Ntaj, to put it simply, is very durable. He lacks the sheer agility to dodge foes nor the skill to expertly parry incoming damage, so to compensate for this Ntaj is simply quite tough. Very healthy and willing to shrug off bone-breaking injuries, he can become even more tanky if he enters his Primal Rage. Ntaj has also been known to be like a badger and can withstand a variety of poisons, venoms, and diseases, typically from eating bad food but also from other maligned sources as well.
• Craftsman: Ntaj's hobby has a craftsman has allowed him to serve as a general handyman, maintaining and repairing most mundane objects with the right tools and materials. While not quite skilled to actually create any thing valuable at the moment, he is still proficient enough to restore most non-magical goods. He's particularly handy with textiles and carpentry.
• Armor Usage: While Ntaj prefers to be starkly dressed, he is no stranger to armor either. For the purpose of what they’re made for, he has no trouble donning light or medium armor for a fight. Though often the only armor he really relies on is his shield.
• Languages: Ntaj is capable of speaking three languages: Orcish, Elvish, and Common. The first two were commonly spoken around Sword Mountain, but the last he didn’t learn until later into his adulthood. Thus while he’s fluent in orcish and elvish (Or at least his regional variant), his common comes off as crude. He understands it well enough, but he still isn’t entirely used to speaking the language.
• Spirit Seeker: As a Totem Warrior, Ntaj has a limited access to spells which allows him to commune and understand the beasts who represents his rage. Because of the nature of how he obtained these spells, Ntaj cannot cast them instantly, requiring a ritual that takes up to a minimum of ten minutes to finish and requires both his Animal Totem and a living animal on that totem. In this instance, a badger.

  Ntaj can touch a willing beast. For the duration of the spell, he can see through the beast's eyes and hear what it hears, and continue to do so until he wants to return to his normal senses or after an hour has passed. While perceiving through the beast's senses, Ntaj gain the benefits of any special senses possessed by that creature, though he is effectively blinded and deafened to his own surroundings. Ntaj cannot control the beast directly, merely observe through it's own senses. The creature affected does not have to be the create represented on the Animal Totem, though if that creature leaves or dies before the ritual finishes the spell fails.
• Speak With Animal:

  Components: Animal Totem, a creature represented on the Animal Totem, Somatic, Verbal

  Ntaj gains the ability to comprehend and verbally communicate with a specific type of beast for ten minutes. He can understand what they say and they can understand him perfectly. The knowledge and awareness of most beasts are limited, but they could at least tell Ntaj about nearby locations, monsters, or recent events. However while under the effect of this spell, Ntaj cannot verbally communicate with other creatures even if he normally could, though he can still understand them if they speak a language he knows. The words from his mouth would sound similar to whichever beasts he is speaking to. Additionally Ntaj can only speak to one type of beast at a time, and must recast the spell if he wishes to speak to a different type of beast (So if can speak to a cat and a tiger if he uses this ritual for felines, but he'll need to use it again if he wants to speak with birds). Lasts for ten minutes or until Ntaj dispels the magic.

  Not all the wounds on his body are marks of pain. As a shaman apprentice Ntaj has been marked with the blessing of the wild and his ancestors, providing luck against malicious forces. He is their fate’s favored, and while they cannot assist him directly, they provide what little protection they can from beyond. Knowing that he has a greater power watching over him, Ntaj gains the moral to become tougher, move faster, and have a sharper mind to resist the negative effects against him. Whether or not the scars actually provide any protection or if it's all faith is not in Ntaj's place to figure out; he simply knows and believes it to be, and it hasn't proven him wrong yet.

  Where some harness rage through negative emotions such as anger, pain, and grief, Totem Warriors have found rage to be a more spiritual blessing, represented different animals, granting him Primal Rage. His rage takes on aspects of different animals, some similar to one another, others vastly different, all represented on his Animal Totem. A Totem Warrior may take on different aspects of a creature, or improve the aspect of one creature, as they grow older and stronger. Ntaj’s current Animal Totem is the Badger: Known for their resilience despite their size, Ntaj takes only half as much damage from all sources of harm except Psychic damage.
  
  Additionally while Ntaj is raging, he excels at feats of strength and athleticism, granting him advantages using his strength whilst raging. He also does more damage to foes while using his strength to attack them.
  
  Ntaj can only tap into his Primal Rage twice a day, though he may be able to do it more often as he grows stronger. Each rage lasts a total of one minute, which he can end early, but he will not regain any time back to preform another Primal Rage. Additionally after each rage ends Ntaj is fatigued for a minute, during which he cannot activate his Rage even if he has another use left. While fatigued Ntaj has disadvantages in using his non-combative skills (regular attacks and dodging), and cannot succeed in doing anything that would only make his fatigue worse. While raging Ntaj is incapable of concentrating or using any spells. Lastly, after using up all his allotted rages, Ntaj requires a full rest before he will be able to use his rages again.

Possessions

Possessions Generally On Person: Clothing, coin purse, money, etc

• Clothing: An assortment of furs, leathers, and clothes. What’s commonly seen is his sturdy dwarven made boots and his own personally made fur kilt. He also has a weather-resistant cloak and a black outfit that he passes off as “Formal Wear”. His formal wear consist of black pants and a long-sleeve shirt made of cotton. Occasionally wears underwear.
• Wallet: A fancy leather wallet that can hold paper and coin. Currently has 50 gold in it.
• Waterskin: A large waterskin that can hold up to a gallon of water.
• Pipe-Weed: Halfling tobacco held in a special pouch. Ntaj typically has it rolled in tobacco leaves rather than than smoked from a pipe.
• Tinder Twigs: To light the Pipe-weed.
• Rope: Five lengths of 10 feet rope Ntaj can use to tie things up with.
• Bandolier: A pair of belts which not only keep his kilt around his waist, but also comes with a variety of straps and pouches to hold his belongings.

Weapons: Personal weapons, no magically enhanced items

• Orc Choppa: A legendary weapon amongst the orcs. It’s a sword, a hatchet, frying pan, spatula grappling hook, fishing rod, backscratcher, and much more. To everyone else it’s just a mundane, if quite large, machete that is very durable. Perfect to be used for everything from slaying monsters, chopping down trees, and carving.
• Throwing Axes: Small, light axes perfectly balanced for throwing. Ntaj can often nail targets up to thirty feet and this is his primary ranged weapon. Carries four.
• Dagger: A knife for when the Choppa is too big.
• Animal Totem: Another one of Ntaj’s ingenious weapons, it is a sturdy stick roughly four feet long with a crooked tip for better grip and to beat someone over the head with. It also serves as Ntaj's Animal Totem, with the carving of a badger's face near the handle. While it is needed for Ntaj's spell casting, it's no more magical than bat guano for fireballs. It's merely a non-consumed material component that functions as a walking stick and bludgeon.. If Ntaj looses it he just needs another piece of wood and an hour or two to get a new one.
• Cestus: Also known as a spiked gauntlet. Ntaj can puncture his opponent with the spikes or just bash them with his fist. He can still wield weapons while wearing a Cestus, though it does get in the way of more dexterous tasks such as tying ropes or using bows.

Armor: Base armor only, no magically enhanced items

• Hide: Thick tanned hides and leather stitched together to create a coat of armor. Bits of bone adorn parts of the armor to provide a meager amount of protection, but are mostly intended to serve as armor spikes. It is medium armor.
• Heavy Wooden Shield: A round shield mostly made of thick sturdy wood bound with iron. It has a metal spike as a cap to allow Ntaj to stab someone with it, and the edges of the shield are sharpen to allowing slashing or chopping motions. There is even a second handle he could grab with his other hand to bolster his shield smashing.

Animals: Have a horse or bird? Limit 1 non bonded

• Honey: A badger who represents Ntaj’s rage. A small beast who regardless is a ferocious and scrappy fighter, enduring much pain and suffering to achieve victory. Ntaj met him as a child after he went hunting for honey on the cliffs of Sword Mountain, where this little creature then attacked Ntaj and robbed him of his sweets. Ntaj later pursued the badger where the two fought for a short while before they were attacked by a bear, whom they both slew together.

Pack Contents: What do you carry in you pack when traveling

• Master Backpack: This backpack has numerous pockets for storing items that might be needed while adventuring. Hooks are included for attaching items such as canteens, pouches, or even a rolled-up blanket. It has padded bands that strap across the chest and the waist to distribute its weight more evenly.
• Camping Supplies: Contains a hanging tent, extra rope, pitons, a bedroll, a thick winter blanket, firewood (Kept in a waterproof bag), extra tinder twigs, all contained/attached to a single bag.
• Food: A sack containing painted boxes. Red boxes contain meat, green has fruits and vegetables, yellow contains bread and grains, and white has spices and powders. This pack also contains a mess kit.
• Fishing Kit: This kit includes a simple fishing pole and a small box that contains fishing tackle (hooks, lines, sinkers, floats, and lures).
• Manacles: Metal cuffs to bind a medium sized creature. Designed in such a way that it tightens when there is something within the cuffs, but would normally slip through if there was nothing. Thus Ntaj doesn’t carry a key for it, though it can still be disabled. Otherwise identical to normal manacles.

Magical Items: Limit 2 low level

• Traveler’s Any Tools: This implement at first seems to be nothing but a 12-inch iron bar lined with small plates and spikes. It can be folded, twisted, hinged, and bent, to form almost any known tool. Hammers, shovels, even a block and tackle (without rope) are possible. It can duplicate any tool the wielder can clearly visualize that contains only limited moving parts, such as a pair of scissors, but not a handloom.
• Jar of Holy Water on a Rope: Or as Ntaj likes to call it, a flail. It contains a tightly sealed steel jar containing holy water, which is swung around on a 4-feet length of rope. Ntaj uses it to ward off ghosts figuring that if normal physical weapons phase right through ghosts but they get burned by holy water, then simply swinging a jar of the stuff at them should work just as well. Works very effectively against non-incorporeal creatures as well.

Potions: Premade or prepurchased potions - limit 5

• Fly: Allows those who drink the potion flight for 3 minutes.
• Enlarge Person: If a humanoid creature drinks this potion, their size increases one level higher. Lasts for one minute.
• Resist Energy: Drinking this potion allows the drinker to resist either Fire, Cold, Electrical, Sonic, or Acid damage. Handy for dealing with Elementals. Reduces damage from specific energy type (Chosen when used) by 10 points for 20 minutes.
• Restoration: Restoration cures all temporary ability damage, and it restores all points permanently drained from a single ability score (your choice if more than one is drained). It also eliminates any fatigue or exhaustion suffered by the target.
• Delay Poison: If drunk, Ntaj is immune to poison for two-hours. Any poison Ntaj already has been affected by or may become exposed to will not affect him for the duration of the potion's effect. It does not remove the poison on it's own, though it may allow Ntaj to survive the effects of the poison until the poison is purged from his body, one way or another. So if the poison does say, 12d8 points of damage every ten minutes for an hour, then Ntaj can drink a Delay Poison and he won't take damage from the poison for the next 2 hours, which hopefully by then the poison would have been cleaned from his body. If however he already took the potion and an hour plus thirty minutes later he gets hit by the 12d8, he won't feel the effects immediately, but he will once the potion wears off, since the poison would still be in his system for the next 30 minutes or so.

History

Parents: Ntaj is the son of Pov Zoov Yaaj, King of Dark Star, as well as Erin Wildflower, one of his wives from a political marriage.
Siblings: Ntaj has a total of 15 living siblings, 20 including those who have died. 7 are brothers while 8 are sisters, with Ntaj himself as the seven oldest child and the fifth son. He had an older sister, but she had died when Ntaj was still a baby.
Childhood: Ntaj first began his training under the tribe’s Shaman as a Totem Warrior at a young age, beginning at five years old. He didn’t actually have any warrior training until he was ten, and the first five years he was largely an apprentice/slave of the shaman. It wasn’t all training however, and he used to keep company with his many brothers, playing and fighting among them as children. It was also during this time that Ntaj was attacked by an Elemental, who nearly killed him and his family. While they defeated the creature and no one was killed, Ntaj still remembers those days with horror. Later Ntaj fell into a ravine while hiking with his mother, where he was forced to survive a few days alone, ill-equipped, and with injuries. The darkness was very frightening even though Ntaj did not face any other issues once he fell. And as he neared the age of an adult orc, Ntaj befriended and was betrayed by a gnomish craftsman, who turned out to actually be a slaver who wanted to sell Ntaj to the his family's rivals. She succeeded in doing so, and Ntaj was forced to suffer various forms of torture by his family's enemies. But what scarred Ntaj the most was seeing that gnome betray him; how jolly and excitable she looked when she was going to be taken away into the dungeons. He cordially hates and fears Gnomes ever since.
Adulthood: As an adult, which for orcs begins around 15 years old, Ntaj had completed his training as a warrior, but still needed to pursue his spiritualism to become a true Totem Warrior. During this time the political climate of Dark Star was starting to become unhinged, which resulted in Ntaj suddenly marrying one of the other tribe’s daughter to seal an alliance. However things didn’t go so well and Ntaj was soon divorced, and his family went to war with other tribes around Dark Star. After more issues, Ntaj had a falling out with his brothers and father and exiled himself from Dark Star.

• ⚜☠Pov Zoov Yaaj: Ntaj Zoov's father, king of Dark Star. The title is largely self-given; he is, at best, a warlord and chieftain. He calls himself king as he's trying to unite the orcs under his tribe, which is roughly 200,000 strong, made up of over 54 different clans. After Ntaj's failed marriage, Pov Zoov was forced to try to kill his son in order to maintain an alliance, but Ntaj's own self-interest in not dying prevented that from happening. Thus Pov Zoov has sent bounties to kill his own son, though it's hard for Ntaj to tell how much his father wants to do it, and how much he has to for the sake of alliances.
• ☠Ntaj's Brothers: Ntaj's seven brothers, four elder and two younger. While some have allied and are fighting against each other, nonetheless they are Ntaj's enemy for the sake of succession. Despite the fact that Ntaj has both been exiled and has no interest in the throne of Dark Star, as well as being a half-orc as oppose to a full blooded orc like the rest of his brothers, Ntaj still has a legitimate claim to the throne. Ntaj hasn't seen them since he left, but occasionally he runs into their warriors who are after his head.
• ☮Erin Wildflower: Ntaj's mother, a human woman who serves as Pov Zoov's wife. While she isn't the main wife, she serves Pov Zoov more politically than the other mothers due to her actual knowledge of governing. She helped Ntaj escaped Dark Star, and currently struggles to find a way to bring him back without instigating a bloody civil war.
• ☯Ayala Skullshield: Ntaj's ex-wife. They were arranged to be married to one another, though neither bride nor groom had any interest in one another. They spent one intimate night as expected of them, but afterwards Ayala ran away with her true lover. Because Ntaj actually helped her, they are on good terms, though they both understood that there will only be additional strife if they remained together for too long.
• ☯Tseeb Ntaj Yaaj: Ntaj's son. An infant born from that intimate night with Ayala, whom Ntaj has only met once. Although Ayala's new husband is more than willing to be Tseeb's father, Ntaj does feel the need to support the child in some way. Mostly Ntaj sends letters with some money or souvenirs.
• ☯Rale: A hafling and Ntaj's childhood friend. Originally a slave in Dark Star, Ntaj brought him and turned him into his companion. Actually far older than Ntaj, but nonetheless has a childish personality that allowed the two to grow close to one another. Taught him how to smoke Pipe-Weed. After Ntaj was banished from Dark Star, he managed to bring Rale with him and freed him from his servitude. Last Ntaj knew, Rale now lives in Neverwinter City.

Personality: Tom's personality changes with the phases he is in, making it rather difficult to ascribe any one given personality type. Although the underlying tones are there, the shades of Tom are heavily coloured in by the active phase (usually sun phase). Overall however, Tom is still developing an identity for himself. His core is that of a boy filled with wonder, innocent and naïve, sheltered away in his tower to deal with the arcane arts. There is a bit of country still left in him, a budding gentleman and scholar, but still holds trepidations in going through uncharted waters. Highly impressionable and a brilliant youth, there is much for him to learn for all his schoolboy spirit.

Sun Phase = His usual default phase, bright and sunny, bold and adventurous. A personality that is as vibrant as the sun itself. It takes quite a bit to damper him as his confidence beams resolute. But of course the problem with this phase is often the impulsiveness which comes with leaping into something new. Willingness becomes arrogance at times, and certainly expected of a spellcaster, although perhaps his youth would excuse him as well.

Moon Phase = A charming phase, eloquent with poise, alluring and attractive. A personality that is as captivating as the moon itself. It takes quite a bit to unnerve him as his tranquility beams placidly. Despite this, he does seem tired, lethargic, and melancholy, as if wasting away despite his glowing demeanor. Often mistaken as illness, if not the pallor of spellcasters never seeing sunlight or physical activity.

Star Phase = An aloof phase, enlightened and contemplative, detached and uncaring. A personality that is as distant as the stars themselves. It takes quite a bit to engage him as his demeanor beans coldness. Often mistaken as reclusiveness, if not the willingness of spellcasters to shut themselves in.

Magic

• Celestial Beam (Starfall Variant): A varying spell that taps into the raw cosmic magic in the caster's blood, manifesting in a downward blast of heavenly light aimed at a single targeted area visible within 50 feet. After a moment (approximately 1.3 seconds) of gesturing in the direction of the area and concentrating on a single point a few feet above, the spell yields a column of pure light hits anything within its 6 feet diameter for minor radiant damage (1d4+charisma) and creates a zone of either sunlight, moonlight, or starlight (as dictated by the current Phase the caster is in) around the perimeter that fades within 1 minute or up to 2 minutes if the spell is used in the presence of the respective celestial light. Anything that attempts to leave the marked area takes either fire, cold, or psychic damage equal to the caster's strength modifier dependent upon the type of light (Sun, Moon, and Star respectively) warding the area as the remaining light flashes in a display of cosmic power. The caster is temporarily dazed for 1 minute after casting this spell. This spell can be casted multiple times a day given the caster has exposed themselves to the light of a celestial body for as many hours as times desired to be cast.
• Gravitational Void (Dragonfrost Variant): A manipulation spell that taps into the raw cosmic magic in the caster's blood, manifesting in a gravity well behind a single target visible within 50 feet. Within moments (approximately 1.3 seconds) after gesturing in the direction of the target and concentrating on a single point a behind it, the strong gravity well manifests and the force of the unstable gravity well pulls the target 5 feet towards its center before collapsing in on itself for minor physical damage (1d8+charisma). If the spell is used in the absence any celestial light, the caster may also attempt to pull any other targets with 5 feet of the original target for additional damage (1d4) but the additional targets are free to orient themselves as they like after the well collapses. The caster is temporarily blinded for 1 minute after casting this spell. This spell can be casted multiple times a day given the caster has not exposed themselves to the light of a celestial body for as many hours as times desired to be cast.
• Radiant Sunflare (Tearing Claws Variant): A solar spell that taps into the raw cosmic magic in the caster's blood, manifesting in a burst of celestial flames around the caster in a five foot radius. The spell is prepared by waving one's right hand in a clockwise circular motion (taking one complete turn) and channeling energy into the action as the spell is set. Once prepared, anytime within the next hour the caster takes damage from an attack, the spell can be unleashed on verbal command ("Flare") and wave of fire erupts from the caster's body to quickly scorch anything (friend or foe) caught within the burst range for radiant and fire damage (1d10+charisma). If the caster is currently attuned to the Sun Phase, the caster may also heal minor damage (1d6+strength), then the caster shifts attunement to the Moon Phase. If the caster is not attuned to the sun phase and this spell is triggered, the caster can shift phases according to the current phase. If the caster is attuned to the Moon Phase, then they may shift the Star Phase, or if in the case of being in Star Phase to the Sun Phase. After casting (not triggering) the spell the caster is also more susceptible for cold damage and suffers chills, until the next moonrise. This spell can only be used once per day, with at least one sun rise and sunset experienced between casts.
• Distant Starcall (Spatial Trip Variant): A stellar spell that taps into the raw cosmic magic in the caster's blood, manifesting in a sudden vanishing of the caster, reappearing some time later a distance away from where they were. The spell is prepared by bringing one's hands together and channeling energy into the action as the spell is set. Once prepared, anytime within the next hour the caster would be attacked by an enemy, the spell can be unleashed on verbal command ("Call") and the caster is sent into a plane of existence beyond the reach of most attacks to save the caster from the attack. Yet for every few moment the caster spends inside the safe realm, the caster takes damage while sustaining the spell (sustainable for 3 rounds, taking 1d4, 1d6, 1d8 damage respectively per round). Residing the safe realm, the caster cannot do anything except for sustain the spell or immediately end the spell, but while in the realm all other spell effects sourced from the caster immediately end. Upon returning, the caster reappears up to 10 feet away + 10 feet per round spent in the plane (maximum of 50 feet total). If the caster is currently attuned to the Star Phase, the caster may also inflict half the damage experienced while in the safe realm (rounded down) as psychic and radiant damage to 1 target within 5 feet of the new position, then shift attunement to the Sun Phase. If instead the caster is attuned to the Sun Phase, then they may shift the Moon Phase, or if in the case of being in Moon Phase to the Star Phase. After casting (not triggering) the spell the caster is also more susceptible for fire damage and suffers fever, until the next sunrise. This spell can only be used once every 7 days and requires exposure to starlight once between casts.
• Elegant Moonbeam (Chromatic Orb Variant): A lunar spell that taps into the raw cosmic magic in the caster's blood, manifesting in a spectacular display of celestial power which varies upon the moon. The spell is prepared by waving one's left hand in a counterclockwise circular motion (taking one complete turn) and channeling energy into the action as the spell is set. Once prepared, anytime within the next hour the spell can be unleashed on verbal command ("Beam") and the caster is lifted off the ground, transforming into celestial entity as a glimpse into the truth of their magic being. Immediately after the transformation, the caster glances a single target in visible range within 50 feet and emits a blast of light from their entire body at the target. The beam does massive radiant and cold damage (1d10+charisma) with increasing power with respect to the current stage of the lunar cycle:

  If the caster is currently attuned to the Moon Phase, they do an additional 1d6 radiant and cold damage, then shift attunement to the Star Phase. If instead the caster is attuned to the Star Phase, then they may shift the Sun Phase, or if in the case of being in Sun Phase to the Moon Phase. After triggering (not casting) the spell the caster is also more susceptible for psychic damage and is knocked unconscious, until the next sunset. This spell can only be used once every 28 days.

• Hand of the Mage: A shriveled, mummified elf hand hanging by a golden chain to be worn as a necklace. More than just a disturbing fashion accessory, as it allows the wearer to point a finger at an object within 30 feet, lifting it and move it at will by as if manipulated by an invisible hand. Object must be nonmagical, unattended, and weighs no more than 5 pounds. It takes concentration to sustain the effect, and the wearer can move the object freely in any direction at a rate of 15 feet per second, but the effect immediately ends if the object leaves a distance 0f 30 feet from the caster.
• Eternal Chalk: A small piece of chalk that never wears down when used, and cannot be broken into more pieces. The when used, anything written using the chalk cannot be wiped away for 1 week by anyone other than the original writer. The chalk dust itself also retains some faint magical traces of its enchantment and can be detected by those with magical training or keen senses.

• Red Elixir of (Moderate) Healing: 2 healing potions, ingest to stop internal bleeding and remedy poison, apply directly to the wound to mend and counteract venom. Useful in a pinch, but will only cure moderate wounds (2d8) and reduce the potency of poison or venom. - Brewed using Master Wolfgang's Alchemic Lab, standard recipe known by Tom.
• Green Potion of Stallion's Vigor: 2 stamina potions, ingest to imbue a sudden rush of energy to someone who needs to catch their breath. Alternatively, give it to someone who is preparing to do laborious task to give them a slight edge. May have some nauseating side effects after the potion wears off (usually in 10 minutes), use as directed as can be slightly addicting. - Brewed using Master Wolfgang's Alchemic Lab, standard recipe known by Tom.
• Blue Tincture of Mana Essence: A potion to help spellcasters raise their wand. Guaranteed to treat the most embarrassing forms of magical impotency, using exotic ingredients to increase the flow of magic to reach new heights. Allowing another performance for exactly one expended spell for up to one hour after drinking. Although there may be residual magical sensitivity for up to the next 4 hours after ingestion, resulting in difficulty in heightened arousal and concentrate, along with possible altered states of mind. - Gifted by a rather embarrassed Master Wolfgang after Tom found it lying around the mage's study, supposedly was meant for the boy anyways as a present, not that Master Wolfgang needed it.

History

Parents:

• James James Harrison - Father: a simple farmer who hated Tom because he couldn't believe the child was his.
• Maryanne List - Mother: a farmer's wife, but also heiress of Listcrest, she kept her maiden name due to its importance in the hamlet. She is one of the three daughters of Makynna List, who in turn is the great granddaughter of Goethius List supposedly a great mage of old. Died in childbirth

Siblings: None.

Childhood: Born under an a starry night, an omen of single star vanishing from the night sky, within the quiet hamlet of Listcrest. A rural farming town, small and unassuming, completely unaware of the infant sorcerer within their midst. Only that Mary didn't make it, and James was bemoaning the loss of his wife. The homestead of course was empty, and life as a farmboy wasn't easy especially with a father who was harsh on the one reminder he had left of his wife. Soon Tom was waking up before dawn to tend to the chickens, the pigs, the cows, the horses, and all. Making his rounds with the sharecroppers during planting, and working the field during harvest. Of course there was that time when the Tom was working the grain silo in the early hours and the building suddenly caught on fire. The flames reducing the winter stores to ashes as the smoke took days to clear over the town. What happened was a mystery that day, as no source of flame was brought with anyone. The day was hot after all, and sunlight plenty, there was no need for any sort of firelight.

A few years after the fire incident, with in his early teens, the second manifestation of his powers occurred. One hot summer night the towns prized heifer found frozen to death under the moonlight. With Tom still frozen to it, unsure of his powers as they began to flux, his mood changing throughout the day as his friends found him increasingly erratic. They had all but abandoned him, including his own father who hardly spoke with the boy now. Even his cousin was told to stay away. Only one person stood up for him as the town grew to scorn the uncontrolled magic in his veins. But she too would walk away as he drove her father into madness one fateful night driving him to take his own life to get the voices out of his head. A demon child they called him, yet no one in Listcrest dared to say it to his face.

Fortunately a passing magister stopped by Listcrest returning from one final adventure as he said, and the townsfolk begged him to take the boy away. Needing a new serving boy and perhaps someone to keep his tea warm, the Mage Johann Wolfgang took him in. And so Tom left his childhood and Listcrest behind. Venturing to a place he never knew as the created a mage's tower. He became the Magician's apprentice. Learning the arcane arts and how to better control his powers.

Adulthood: Adulthood, or so it would seem had barely began for Tom. Days became weeks, weeks became months, and months became years with Master Wolfgang. Fully fledge as a budding sorcerer now, but still a boy at heart. Wondering more about the world they lived in beyond the pages of books. Yet there was never time to travel, only keeping the grounds and meditating underneath the sun, moon, or stars. Perfecting control over his own powers as he should, learning to create spells and more. Yet on his 18th birthday, it was time for the Master to push the student out. Sending him off on a quest, either having grown bored with the boy, or perhaps having too much faith in his abilities.

Special Moments: Creating the first spell, a memory like no other. Discovering that your will alone could change the cosmos. And from nothing, came something, a beam of light from the sky. And then passing out.

Current Events: Tom is currently travelling, his funds are slowly dwindling and he desires to find people to travel with, adventurers hopefully as his Master suggested.

• ☮ Billy (William) List: Cousin - From his Mother's side, didn't seem to inherit any unusual magic, but liked to pretend with Tom.
• ☯ Lady A'Nyffa : Master Wolfgang's Acquaintance - an elven lady who visits Master Wolfgang, supposedly one of his old adventuring companions. That being said, there's probably a history (or lovestory as rumors say) between them as they seclude themselves into his private chambers and return hours later smiling at each other. Although being an elf does have its advantages over a human. She is somewhat of a mother figure to Tom, despite her mysterious comings and goings.

Personality: Magnar is the type to let his actions speak for him, rather than his words, and so he oozes a calm confidence without seemingly overly boastful. While Magnar does share the desire to prove himself to all and sundry, he doesn’t believe boasting is the way to do it.

History

Parents: Logan and Muriel Arhakaine, both deceased.
Siblings: One older brother, Renyard, and one younger sister, Nessa. Both still alive, though Magnus doesn’t know where his brother is now.
Childhood: Born to two former adventurers, Logan and Muriel Arhakaine, who had retired to settle down and raise a family. They bought a small farming estate a few hours travel from Baldur’s Gate.

Both parents loved their children very much, but were also strict disciplinarians, and obsessed with the idea of making their kids ready for the outside world. To that end they trained the children in adventuring skills. Renyard, the oldest, was the most like Logan, being a natural in the magical arts, while Magnus was more comfortable with his mother’s warrior skills. The highly competitive nature of the tasks set to the children seen a divide form between the two brothers, a divide that widedened day by day until the two could barely stand to be around each other, though their parents thought it was good character building for them.

Logan was killed when an old enemy, a Hobgoblin warrior chief, raided the farm looking for revenge, though the rest of the family managed to fight off the attack and kill the Hobgoblin. Magnus landed the final blow, though Renyard resented him for it, feeling that as the eldest son he should have been the one delivering the family’s vengeance. Renyard left the estate shortly after, determined to make his own fortunes.
Adulthood: As he reached sixteen Magnus was preparing to leave the family home himself, but Muriel became sick. None of the doctors brought to the farm could cure her ailment, or even identify it, and so the family resigned themselves to the fact that she was either going to have to get better on her own or die.

As Nessa was still too young to look after her mother and handle the management of the farm on her own, Magnus put his own wants on hold as he stopped to care for his family. His mother lingered for almost four years before finally passing, and in that time Renyard didn’t visit once, increasing Magnus’ resentment for the elder Arhakaine.

After seeing to the funeral, and comforting his sister, Magnus continued from where he had left off years before, setting off on his own journey, determined that he would make a name for himself, and one that would eclipse the quickly escalating fortunes of his brother, who was becoming more and more famous across the lands.

Magnus took on several adventuring jobs, at one point even joining a party, but everything that he has been involved in so far has been small scale, and while he does have a small reputation for being a skilled and dependable swordsman, he is still a long way from eclipsing his brother, or making the memories of his parents proud.
Special Moments: Landing the final blow on the Hobgoblin that killed his father. Nursing his mother while she slowly faded due to her sickness (not a fond memory, but it has stuck with and shaped him). Saving a young mother travelling with her two young children from a pack of hungry dire wolves. While hardly the daring rescue of a princess, or smiting an evil warlock, the sheer gratitude the family showed him afterwards, and how thankful they all were to be alive and together, was extremely humbling, and one of the most profound events in his life.
Current Events: Magnus is still wandering, looking for opportunities to make his name in the adventuring world. However his zeal for the life is starting to wane. One can only receive so many contracts to hunt down giant rats before the novelty begins to wear a little thin. He’s journeying towards Salarn, hunting down rumours of an Orc/Human war, hoping to change his fortunes by ending the conflict, not aware of the fact that there’s already another group of adventures embroiled in that very fight.
