[OOC] The Rise of Man (Fallout-like RP)

Read through the whole RP killing conversation and I must say that the RP is for story purposes and, as insane as this sounds, its also for fun and I'm not going to get everything 100% correct with technology, which is why I set out the "Fallout" like standard, its a base for what technology should be around, maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more. If I see an app that is inherently Overpowered then I will not accept it, and so far no app that I've seen is overpowered.

Wiliy can literally now insert himself at a distance into every other conflict and become the decision maker based on big gun diplomacy as opposed to anything interesting. He has satellites and no doubt being unfinished he will have much more that gives him the card to directly play story lines into his benefits.

I'm sure Metal will intervene if Willy starts doing anything that breaks the game; best just to let it be, and focus on your people's narrative for now.

Seriously, this is getting downright bothersome.
Can you just stop worrying over technology being present in a sci-fi setting and accept that we aren't a bunch of ragtag peasants only struggling to survive but nations with their own agenda?
Geez, we have entire nations keeping a considerable portion of their pre-war arsenal yet you get weak in the knees for me mentioning having ICBMs with yet untested reliability?
Stop being squeezy and realize we write a story. This is no wargame. We work with players not against them.
Nobody stops you from writing your society the way it is now. But realize each and every player has their own style.
Complain about hax when a player nation actually strongarms you into their servitude (unless it's done with your consent).

I have my militias partially as an excuse that not everything will be about the Enclave's ubertech even in combat.
They'll be often just the "high men" the majority of the population barely interacts with. (Granted, I'll also make post from their perspective.)
Powers are a narrative tool in an NRP. Terrible powers must be used with terrible care.
Special mention to the ICBMs. They can be an interesting tool when such response fits the story's flow but otherwise threatening farmers with shotguns by a nuke is bad sport at best and a gamebreaker at worst. Which is why I have an excuse to never use them unless pushed.
