Welcome to Garna

Garna, a small country built on an island, Garna is known by many as the capital of dreams and parties, however this doesn't mean Garna is as peaceful as some may think, the King is constatly looking for strong warriors and adventurers willing to join his army in order to protect Garna from pirates, sea monsters and even other countries....though sometimes they forget about their duties, after all Garna is the capital of parties.

Ganra's areas:

Urban Area

In this area private houses and stores stand side-by-side. As the population grows, people make extensions by stacking it on top, resulting in a tight and complicated town scape packed with cubed-like buildings.

Central Market (Bazaar)

Its open in the morning and at dusk. Since inhabitants and travellers gather here for trading, it's always very crowded with people.

Harbor and Sea Route

The South sea is infested with ferocious Southern Creatures. However, powerful Garnan troops protect the merchant ships and passenger liners at all times, making sure everyone has a safe voyage.

Orchard

Exotic Fruits are a staple of Garna. Due to the low yield, merchants from the continent pay a great deal for the precious fruits of the South Sea.

State-Operated Mercantile House

It's an area especially designed to welcome people from outside the island. Besides luxurious accommodations and taverns, there are also recreational facilities like casinos, theaters and arenas, making it a flourishing place even at night time.

Forest

Habitat of the diverse creatures from the South Sea. Two kind of birds are the Dunce and the Papagoras bird.

Palace

Purple Leo Tower

Where the private living quarters of the King and the officials close to him are situated. People who are granted access to this area are strictly limited to only a few.

Crimson Cancer Tower

Military facilities are assembled in this area, which include the armory, military training grounds and the barracks.

Silver Scorpio Tower

The training grounds for martial artists. Other than the soldiers in the national military forces, guests can use this facility also.

Black Libra Tower

A place for the exchange of knowledge. It includes a library and a school.

Green Sagittarius Tower

This is the living accommodation for guests

The Great Bell

The bell is rung every two hours (according to sundial) to tell people what time it is.

White Aries Tower

The national administration center, where the civil officials attend to their duties. The great hall at its ground floor is where his Majesty and his officials hold a mass meeting every morning and where audiences are granted.

Harvest Festival

A few times a year the Southern Creatures that inhabits the waters around Garna will get past the lookout and come attack the island. It is the duty of the King and the and Dragon Officers to fight them off whenever they attack. The King turned this attacking of the southern Creatures into a performance. It calms the people's fears and earned them tourist. The southern creature that was killed is an abundant source of protein and it is distributed throughout the country to be feasted on.

This are the most trusted warriors at the service of the King, they are also they strongest, each Dragon Officer has from 2500 to 4000 soldiers under his/her command

I could be tempted into joining... but I have a few questions to ask and things to say.

I'll start by saying if I do join, my activity will (if this RP is active) probably result in once-a-day posts. If timing syncs, I might be able to do more, but I RP during my evenings along with other things. If the RP is slower, well, then I'll match pace.

Now for the questions:
-How much character diversity are you looking for? Players to fill in government slots or just a crew of soldier-like folks who sometimes look at government stuff for five minutes a week? If it's freeform I can see some government politics at the least going on, but I'd like to know what's in store here.

-Is magic simply make it up, or is there a structure behind it? A source to magic, perhaps?

-How many total players are you looking for?

Sorry for the load of questions... I just want to make sure that if I join, I join and not regret it later on. I'm a little picky about what I join these days considering I'm juggling some other RP's as well, duties ranging from simply posting to worldbuilding/co-GM'ing.

Good questions.
-About the magic: It can be any kind of magic, not neceary to be a combat-type of magic (if it is please don't make it a one-hit kill magic). Normal people (all the players) will be able to master only one spell-> they are born with this spell but it takes times and effort to learn how to use it, usually people need the help of an experienced person in order tho master the spell. Wizard Saints, who are able to master many spells, maybe we will fight one.
About the the surce of magic, well magic is the combination of Etherano, external energy, (is all arround the world, reason why it's almost impossible to run out of it) and Mana, internal energy (the amount of mana depends on the person, it recharges slowly and running out of mana complently can be deadly, a way to recharge it quicklier is to eat xD).

-About the poeple joining, the more the marrier

-About the government slots, well there is not need to worry about it, i just wanted to give the Dragon Officers something to do when they are not on adventures with the king or..partying hard with the king, you can do posts about how your job is going on(or how about you slack off)...Of course there is no-one forces you to make your characters a DO
