Name: Odette Verbeck

Age: 19
Sex: Female

Power: Voluntary mind reading. She has the ability to see into someone's thoughts and dreams if she has permission from that person. If permission is denied during a session of reading, she will become weak because her power was wasted and it takes at least an hour to get the energy back for another session. The higher the intelligence of the person she is trying to read, the more difficult it will be for her to read and therefore, requires more power on her part. If the person she is reading is close to her heart and she cares about them deeply, she can save their thoughts and memories into her own and access them whenever she wants as if they were her own.

Short bio: She gets extremely frustrated with the stupidity of others around her and only associates with others that are as intelligent as her or more. Is kind of a loner but if you're her friend and know her well, she is very outgoing, honest and opinionated. She has never been with her real parents and has never even met her father. her mother is a complete fuck up and abandoned her when she was born. As a result, she was badly abused for 2 years until her grandparents got custody of her. She hates the town she lives in because the people are so closed-minded and dumb. She does not fit in anywhere and sticks out wherever she goes. Her best friend is a boy named Anthony who she goes everywhere with. he is just as smart as her and accepts her for who she is. They are incredibly close. Cats are her favorite animal and she is vegan.

Sigh, you and the other Star Kids have been captured by the Government, and treated relatively well, before being taken into a conference (detailed in the first link I gave you) with your handlers and an Alien defector. Then, you are taken to the gym detailed in the final two paragraphs of the second link to practice; where you have free choice of what area to choose, as well as a communicator to talk with the others if you want.

Okay, a confession. I've played three previous versions of this RP on another site, and GMed two of those. And so, despite the fact that all your characters are great, the fact is, I've seen this routine before. Slice-of-Life, then Capture, then Exposition, then Training, and later on, Action? I've done it before, and, well, again, your characters are awesome, but that doesn't change the fact that...I'm tired.

I hope I'm not being shallow or petty or fickle, it's just that, the RP lost its lustre after the Capture and Exposition stages.

But, as I don't want the game to die, I am asking: Does anyone want to take over?

Rather than just stop being GM, why don't you add something new into it? Running the same exact RP with different characters 4 times will obviously make it boring, but throwing something new in can revitalize it.

Just sayin'.

Hey guys. As Letter Bee has said he's going to step down as GM, however in the interest of keeping things going I'm going to be taking over his position. For now things are going to continue as planned IC-wise, however in the interest of organization I've set up a little space where I can keep some information and you guys can work on collab posts if you want.

Since I can't edit the OP I'm going to put any important information there. For the time being there's a list of terms and NPCs if you guys forget anything. I'll try to keep it updated and hopefully I'll be able to log on to back it up as much as possible. That's about all I have to say. Hopefully I can continue to make this RP as enjoyable as possible for everyone.
