Marinna nodded. "Pork, chicken or beef?" she had begun to ask when a boy with dreads walked over. She looked up from her conversation with Raven and raised a brow. "Hi Lavi. Marinna." She pronounced her 'r's with a roll of her tongue and tucked her hair behind her hair. He was attractive enough, she supposed.

Lavi loved the way she pronounced her name and how she rolled her tongue with the 'R's. It was cute to hear that. He smiled at her and held his hand out to her "Well then...it's a pleasure to meet you, Marinna" rolling his tongue like she did with the 'R'. "You're Spanish, I take it?" he asked just to make conversation.

Uriel rolled his eyes even more pissed "And I thought babies was annoying...well whatever" he muttered to himself looking again around the kitchen noticing a free table "hmm! Alright I will make a sushi...for anyone...except for you!" he said making quick qlance toward the Gem, before maked his way toward the one free kitchen table 'Hmm! Let see what do I need? Rice, tuna, eggs, carrots, cucumber...Salmon? nope!' he thought himself opening the cabinets and fridge.

"So, Charlie, anything in particular you want to make? I don't usually eat lunch so I'm thinking of making a spinach-artichoke dip, unless you have another proposition." Theo didn't really care what they made, but he did value his partner's input.

Charlie rubbed his chin "well lunch is suppose to be something light to hold you over until dinner" he says and rubs his chin "I'm not sure really..." he looks at what they have to cook with "I don't like to much veggies I will emit" he says as he thinks.

"I have no preference. I suppose chicken sounds the best. But really it doesn't make an difference to me. What do you want me to do? Roxy told her. She wasn't much of a team player but it wouldn't hurt to learn how to work with someone when she needed to. She wanted to make the most of this opportunity. So if she had to work with someone to learn how to use her powers.

Marinna returned her attention to her partner. "Well first we need to get the ingredients. Do they provide them here or do we need to buy them? Also, when do you wanna get started?" she asked quickly then looked back over to Lavi. "Nice meeting you too. And yes, actually. What kind of name is Lavi?" Marinna leaned back against the table.

"Oh I hate vegetables, but this dip is something else," Theo was searching their work station for mixing bowls and whatever else they may need. "In truth, the dip is more cheese than any real vegetables, but if you have another idea I'm all ears. I don't have very many lunch meals other than just making PB&B sandwiches." Theo could actually go for a PB&B sandwich right about now, they reminded him of his childhood when his grandma would make them for him.

"hm.. I'm better at breakfast and dinner" he chuckles "I normally just snack through the day to handle lunch" he says rubbing back of his neck "I would probably ended up doing something pizza or bacon related myself" he chuckles "that's just me though" he rubs his chin

Confirming what she is culturally, Lavi smirked at her question as no one really asked him about his name. "Well...it's an interesting story behind that. My first name I think is Hebrew for Lion or something like that but...I'm part Hawaiian. I have a Hawaiian last name...Palakiko...my close friends call me L instead....you can call me that if my name sounds too funny." he mentioned.

"There is a huge pantry over there." Roxy pointed to a glass door far from here. It had a large room full of shelves. She couldn't see all of it but what she could see looked pretty well stocked. "I assume we can use anything in there. It looks like it got a pretty good selection. I am guessing that we only get a certain amount of time to cook and eat. So I would suggest starting soon."

Uriel found a suitable sized boiler and pour water. He taked the rice and tryed to remember how to boil it. While the rice was in the boiler he took the other materials out and began to chop them suitable pieces. At the same time when he chopped carrots he listened to others chatting 'What kind of talents they might be?' he wondered, glancing at the other groups.

"I don't see how cooking will help us save the world or help us with any of our powers? And don't tell me it's life skills. I know how to cook and don't need an old man in a big house to tell me how to use a spoon. Don't tell me this is helping me with anything. In fact I don't trust you. We don't know who you are or what your powers are. We don't know your intentions and I'm clearly not gonna play your new Avenger." Evangeline felt angry at herself. She felt naive for just stepping into a building because some old man knew her weakest spot. She shouldn't have let down her walls so easily. This man has said he wants them all to save the world. Which to Evangeline meant she would risk her life because this crazy man said so. And she wouldn't just sit and let the man watch her powers, her strengths and weaknesses so he could use them against her.

"Like I told Uriel, that doesn't matter. You have powers because a gem appeared on you one day. This gem isn't going away. The power that comes with the gem isn't going to go away. You can stay here and get the protection and education you need or you can go out and put yourself and other's at risk. The choice is yours. If you stay you will learn what I teach you. If you go you will be on your own when the scientist and cultist start to try get their hands on you. Gem answered.

Marinna waved her hand dismissively towards Lavi. "Lavi is just fine. Let's talk more later though, I have some work to do." She jabbed her thumb towards her partner. Turning to face Roxy she resumed the serious business of cooking. "Alright." Marinna clapped, "Let's raid the pantry." She stood and went over to all the ingredients and was rather to see some more traditional spices among them.

"Hey, Elsa..." Collin whispered, "We don't know what this guy can do. We need to play along for now, ok? I'm sure everyone knows how to use a oven and turn on a stove, but we need to play this guy's game. When we go to sleep, let's try a meet up in the middle of the night. Maybe we can meet up and try and escape. In the meantime just, chill." Collin winked at Evangeline and jumped towards the pantry.

"Alright, for my signature omelet, I'm gonna need some Old Bay." Collin quickly rummaged through the various spices. "You got any of that? I know it's a Maryland thing, but God I love that stuff."

"Just tell me what you need." Roxy told her. She had no idea how to cook. She had never used a stove or oven. The microwave was her best friend. She figured learning to cook wasn't a skill that she would use often but it could be a useful skill to have. She didn't mind learning new things. She opened the door to the pantry and went inside.

"I say we go with the dip," Theo decided, "if you don't like it, then I'll make you some sandwiches or something. I just figure we should start making something, and dip is a bit more impressive than sandwiches, deal?" Theo didn't like how he was kind of forcing his position on Charlie, but they needed to get to work on something and he didn't have any other ideas.
