Charles would look to the one who just arrived then at the others before looking back at the one doing the test. he would rub back of his head 'how am I suppose to do something like this.. at most I'm maybe more durable but that's all..' he'd think worried. "..status" he says as another window shows up he would look at his stats 'I didn't want to use this points just yet... and it seems the quest doesn't count these.. then what could it be..' he thinks to himself.

Alex wanted to rush in there but decided to ask just in case. "Right now?" He asked Mr. Gem. He had been wondering about his gem. He thought about what he said and thought Contain my power? Why? Its not like I can actually hurt anyone like this. Only illusions. Could the others actually HURT people with theirs? The thought scared him a little. And also made him upset. How lame that he couldn't but the others could!
I'll have to sneaky. That's the only way I could stand up to these guys if I need to.

"Alright, so, uh, kill him." Collin said to himself. "He's not even real, so no sweat. Just gotta use my powers..." He looked at his hand trying to think of a way to use it. He hadn't the slightest idea how to use this power offensively, defensively, or at all for that matter. Phase my hand and do... Collin searched for some witty way to use his power in a fight. Phase my fist through a wall and punch him? But there was no wall to do so.
As Collin stood there, his resentment towards his power grew into anger. After a solid minute of trying to find use for his power, he clenched his fist and looked up at the enemy. Screw it, this guy is just getting a knuckle sandwich. Collin charged and cocked his fist back, in an attempt to land a hay maker on the virtual guard. This power isn't worth anything, but that doesn't stop me from some good old fashion fisticuffs!

linus made his way to the place located in the letter he received, it stated that the gemstone he found was the source of the Djiin fire he could conjure, but it didn't make sense how something of geological origin could be linked to something so strange, finally, linus arrived at the door to where ever this place was, and knocked

"Failure. You must use your power. Do you know what it is." The computer asked. Gem frowned. He knew that not all the powers would be way to demonstrate. But there was no reason that he knew of that Collin couldn't display his. Was the boy nervous? There really wasn't a need to be. He knew some would be better at this then others. There was nothing wrong with not being able to use his ability.

Collin's punch phased through his target, surprising him. Unfortunately his momentum brought him through the guard and made him land on his shoulder and slide on the floor.
"Failure. You must use your power. Do you know what it is."
"Yeah I do know," Collin grunted, standing up and looking towards Gem. "It's this lame ass phasy hand!"
Collin phased his hand through his arm as he yelled toward Gem.
"What can I do with this, make the guard go 'Ohhh wow, neato' as he pumps bullets into my face?!" Collin's frustration had exploded. He was sick of trying to look on the bright side of his power and how it could be used. It was useless. And he hated it. He phased his hand through the guard's chest.
"Oh, cool, so great! So useful!" Collin's voice was sharp and vitriolic. "Can't wait to use this on the bat-" Collin's tirade was cut off by the scream of the guard he phased his hand through. At first, Collin was confused, bt then he felt something on his hand. His previously phased hand.
It was the man's heart, and Collin jerk ed his hand out of the man's chest, pulling the heart with it. Collin wanted to scream. Or throw up. Or something, but couldn't find himself to do any of those. All he could do was stand there, horror covering his face, as he stared at the heart of the man.

Lavi watched as another new one came in, this kid named Alex. Mr. Gem was talking to him but Lavi's attention went back to Collin when he failed the first time as Gem called out to him. The second attempt was more interesting but sickening at the same time when Collin's hand was about to grab the heart of the guard and pull it out because of the phasing. "See I knew it...i knew his power was going to be badass. YO COLLIN! THAT WAS SICK!" he said with an amused smile.

"Collin relax. It's not a real heart."Gem assured him. He would have to fix his machine. But tht wasn't a problem. He had plenty of robots. Aright now he needed to focus on calming Collin down. He didn't want a kid to crak te firt dy. "Your power will be Goid fr any things. Like going through walls to save people. But first you have to learn how to use it."

Evangeline gasped and felt the need to back away as Collin, her sweet innocent funny friend, ripped a heart out with his hand. She felt terror and only Gems announcement reminded her that this was only a machine and Collin would never hurt anyone.

She relaxed a little and breathed out the breath she was holding. Collin was definitely just as shocked as she was. If not more.

She felt a little proud that her friend was so powerful now. Going from a phasing hand to ripping out hearts sure is quiet a thing.

"Nice one Colin," Theo cheered to his friend. Though Colin looked horrified, did he forget it was just a robot. Now Theo was thinking of what he would do, there was one thing he had been meaning to try. He saw something like it in a fighting game he played before, he just wasn't sure how well it would work.

"Collin relax. It's not a real heart."
Not a real heart... The words buzzed in his head. It was just a robot. No sweat, right? But it looks so real... Collin was never a normally squeamish person to begin with. He watched gory movies, he had played violent video games... But actually doing the killing, it was nothing like he experienced. He felt numb. His vision blurred and he felt lightheaded. The only sense he had intact was his touch of the heart.
He heard his friends saying various things, and they all sounded like words of appraisal. However, Collin's mind had muffled the shouts due to the shock. It was ironic, how he had been complaining about not having a cool power to himself the entire time and now, when he did something "cool," he tensed up and froze.
As this thought ran through this head, his vision came to and looked at the heart, which had changed. The shock must have distracted him from it, but when he snatched the heart from the robot body, it began to deteriorate. It was at a slow pace and the changes were only small at first, but now with some time, significant changed had happened. The heart's mechanical origin was clear now, as it had rust around the edges and parts of the metal were crumbling off. The lump in Collin's throat was finally cleared, and he could finally say what he had wanted to all this time.
"What the fu-" Unfortunately Collin was cut off again and his eyes went wide, as a purple gas exuded from his mouth and slowly filled up his immediate airspace. Collin's eye went wide, and he went back to his natural reaction of complete horror.

I think that is enough for today. Let's move on to something a little less stressful. Please follow me." Gem opened the door to the training room so Collin could join them. Then he headed to the door. There were always some that struggled with their powers. The receiver of the death stone always had the most trouble adapting. Death wasn't something that everyone was able to handle. He hoped that Collin wouldn't break. He would try to keep the boy involved with the others.

Lavi shrugged when was told that the demonstrations was enough and headed to the door "What are we about to get into now?" he asked after seeing a badass power let loose from Collin when he doubted himself so much.

Charles looks to see Gem saying to follow him. he would close his status menu and follow, wondering what his going to need to do in order to complete his quest. he sighs and shrugs "Guess something will inform me later" he says to himself "should just focus on my stats first.." he says and starts thinking how he should distribute his points.

Evangeline leaned towards Aurora and whispered to her. "I don't feel safe here yet. Are we supposed to just believe that he's the nice guy?" She nodded towards Gem. "Maybe he's the bad guy and only here to capture or kill us in the end? Or maybe he wants us to fight for his army? If you ask me, I won't blindly do what he says. I don't trust the Gem guy. He hides something."

Collin went out of the room, still clutching the heart that he tore out. He didn't even realized that he still held the mechanical heart in his hand. The glint in his eye has been darkened and his usual smile was gone, as with all the emotion in his face.
He kept his head down and shuffled in the general direction where Gem directed him.

Roxy moved from the wall. She wasn't sure hat she thought of the demonstrations. It seemed they had two very nasty fighters so far. She wasn't sure hw her ability matched up to theirs. She could do a lot but not anything like that they had displayed. Still it wasn't like she was useless. Her skills were just different. She could o things they couldn't. That was sort of the point she supposed.

Aurora nods her head as Evangeline whispered to her. She moved a little closer to the other girl. "I agree...Something isn't right.." She looked over at Collin and frowned. "Don't know why... But Collin seems different some how" She whispered to Evangeline.

Gem lead them to a classroom. He figured after all the activity the teens would need some down time. "This is the room where we will learn life skills. Life skills is anything that you can use in everyday life to survive there are many things we will learn. I want you to pair up. Today you willbe learning how to cook,"Tgey would need every skill he could teach them. Cooking might not seem important but they needed to be able to care for themselves and each other.

Evangeline immediately grabbed Aurora's hand and grinned. "Hi, partner. Shall we pair up together?" She flashed the girl a loving smile, her crystal blue eyes sparkling.
