To get you guys in the mood!

Let me tell you a story of the city of Tokyo Japan, a city where everything may seem normal but in reality it's a horror bloodland full of creatures we call Ghouls. Ghouls blend into society as us humans, they look like us, breath like us, walk like us, but they don't eat like us. Ghouls are unable to eat the food us humans eat instead they go on to another being on the food chain...humans. Ghouls have pushed us to second place on the food chain as Ghouls are only able to eat us humans. Other foods taste disgusting to them and give them horrible instant nausea(way worse then instant noodles) So now Ghouls hunt us humans for food. We live in fear of ghouls but they also live in fear of us. The Commission of Counter Ghoul or the CCG for short was created to deal with Ghouls. Officers of the CCG use Quinques, weapons created from the Ghouls Kagune. A Kagune is a ghouls main weapon when hunting. How will you survive in this world? Will you kill all ghouls or will Ghouls kill us all? We'll see now how it will all go down.

20th Ward Morning, Anteiku Coffee Shop

Meiji was sitting in a chair at the local coffee shop, Anteiku with his girlfriend, Aiko Akemi as they enjoyed a nice cup of hazelnut coffee. "Wow it feels like it was just yesterday when I met you Meiji. I swear it still seems like a dream." Aiko said "It's been 3 years since I asked you out and you said yes. I was so overjoyed that you said yes. It all seems so unreal." She added "Aiko I would never have said anything if you hadn't come up to me and asked me out. I was still a nervous wreck even when you said you liked me." Meiji said as he pulled his coffee cup to his lips taking a sip. "Even so happy 3 year anniversary Aiko." Meiji said as he leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Here's the parfait sir!" A waitress with long black hair said "Parfait? I don't remember ordering a parfait?" Aiko said "I got your favorite parfait for you. I had them make it up especially for you. It's got lots of strawberries since I know you love them." Meiji said as Aiko looked at him in surprise "Oh Meiji you shouldn't have. You didn't have to do this for me. Thank you dear!" She said as she stood up and gave him a big kiss on the cheek. "I'll be right back. I have to go wash up in the bathroom. Enjoy that parfait!" He said as he got up and went into the restoroom. He stuck his fingers down his throat as he gags and soon throws up. "God why is it so hard to eat this shit! Though it's nothing. I'll do it for Aiko! I'll protect her no matter what. I won't let her get caught up in Ghoul business especially with Arashi and some of the enemies it's got ." Meiji came out of the restroom as he came back to sit in his seat. He noticed the parfait gone already "Wow you made quick work of that. Ready to go to some shops?" Meiji asked "Yep I'm ready. Oh can we go to that shop with the cute dress I saw the other day!" Aiko said as she quickly got up "Sure of course love." Meiji said as he took her hand. They soon left Anteiku and went off to the shops.

20th Ward Morning, 20th Ward CCG Branch Office

As usual, the day was quiet. 20th ward wasn't a really busy place as the CCG's main office mostly ignored the 20th ward due to the number of predation in 20th ward was low. However, Lenwood didn't agree with the situation. Even if the ward was in peace, the officers should be on their guard and kept patrolling over, focusing o the CCG's main objective to clear the 20th ward from Ghouls. "These brainless brats" murmured Lenwood. He was disgusted by several officers that resided in the 20th Ward and Exo couldn't run away as he was stationed here by the main office. Lenwood couldn't stand anymore and so he decided to stay on his business, having a small breakfast and a small cup of coffee. The coffee tasted a bit different, it's somewhat tastier and it sent thrills over Lenwood's spine.

Even if the meals were getting better, his soul was alone. An empty chair in front of him, he reminisced his old life when he got a partner, but his partner died in a massive raid by the ghouls. His failure in protecting his friend drastically changed his performance as a CCG officer. Thus, he was transferred to 20th Ward. He sighed along as he sip his coffee and took a bite on his bread. Footsteps could be heard and the figure came closer to Lenwood's seat. The figure's hand pulled the empty chair and the figure sat down in front of Lenwood. Lenwood was startled and confused, only one word left his mouth, "Huh?"

20th Ward Morning, Alleyway

Haruna gripped her bow like a helpless little girl. A huge man approached her with a big grin on his face. "Come on now little girl, just come with me." He said. One would think he was a pedophile but he wasn't; he was a ghoul. People who eat humans because that's what they can only eat besides coffee. "It won't be long. It'll just be an hour." He continued as he walked towards her. Every step he took forward, Haruna stepped backward. "And besides, your little bow won't help you." He continued, his eyes turning red and black, showing that he was a ghoul.

"B-B-But I-I'm supposed to meet with my brother." Haruna replied before looking up at him... no, behind him and to the roof of the building. She blinked twice before looking back at the ghoul who didn't seem to notice her actions. She then hit the wall behind her, signalling that she was at a dead end.

"Ah well, I can just eat you here!" The ghoul exclaimed, his kagune coming out, two tendrils. A Rinkaku. That was not good. He began to laugh as he attempted to strike.

When suddenly, a bullet went through his kakuhou. His kagune then disappeared, causing his surprised look. It even went through his body and the bullet landed between Haruna's legs. The sniper rifle was silent or at least very suppressed. So much that it barely makes a sound when shot. The ghoul was surprised and then looked to where he thinks it came from, from the roof. He spotted the shine of the rifle. Before he could act however, he found himself pierced by two arrows. One in the head, and the other near the heart. "W-W-" He then dropped dead, on his own pool of blood.

Haruna sighed in relief as she placed a hand over her chest to calm her panicked heart. She then jumped over the ghoul and then saw her brother heading towards where she was, his sniper rifle already in its case. "Good job brother. You really hit his kakuhou this time." She said with a smile as she jogged to her brother.

"Of course my dear sister." He said before poking her cheek, a small habit he had gotten over the years. "You're a pretty good actor. You really looked frightened for a moment there." He continued with a teasing grin on his face.

"I was scared!" Haruna said before putting a pout on her face. "You really took too long this time." Haru didn't say anything because he knew that Haruna understood why. He always searched for where the kakuhou is and try to rupture the organ so that kagune would malfunction. "Just... try to be quicker next time."

"Hai, hai." Haru said before the twins started to walk out of the alleyway and into the busy streets of 20th Ward. They had just finished killing their latest assignment. They were done with their day's assignments so they were technically off duty. They'll do the whole report thing later after they come back. And so they didn't care anymore and just strolled into the shopping district. Haruna wanted to buy something else. It was also a good thing that none of the blood got onto their clothes. One would notice that neither was wearing their uniforms. Again, they were assassins so they had to be inconspicuous.

20th Ward Morning, Abandoned Parking Complex ZHx02

"OH God, OH GOD SOMEONE HELP ME!" cried the young man as he sprinted through the maze-like parking complex dodging broken down cars as well as random garbage. He had been abducted earlier in the night and all the man knew was that someone had said "...I'll give you a minute head start, now RUN!", that was all the encouragement he had needed an took off in a Deadman's run down to the lower levels of the Complex all the while The voice began to count up to 60.

The voice of course belonged to Erin Orukoma a.k.a Razor Jack "57, 58, 59, 60!" Erin said through her mask which along with her clothing concealed a wide smile that hovered on the edge of looking insane. "Let the game of tag begin" she called through the building sure that the man would hear her, at that point Erin deployed her Kagune which was immediately wrapped around her arms, neck, and torso under her clothing giving her the slight appearance of what looks like a Koukaku even though she was a Rinkaku type. Erin broke through a metal door labeled "stairs" and began to walk down to the the floor she could hear the frantic pounding of feet and the pitiful gasping for breath coming from.

"Wow didn't think I grabbed such a wimp this time *sigh* but you're the best I could have done at the moment..." she said when the man rounded the corner just in time to come face to mask with her even though he was almost two heads taller than her. He began to screen but all the exited his mouth was a small squeaky whisper as the tentacle from around Erin's neck lashed out and wrapped around his own cutting off his air supply as well as blood going to his brain.

"Hey Sir you lost do you know what that means?" Erin asked as the tentacle lifter him off the ground. His eyes became wide as the fog in his brain cleared up enough to let the true panic seep through then he went limp all at once though once he was released from Erin's grip the man continued breathing. "good still alive now to get on with the feeding." and with that the tentacle shaped itself into blade and struck at the man's her then his brain ensuring his death. Next came the time she had been craving for feeding, needless to say it was bloody and but also strangely surgical.

When she finished there was a surprisingly small amount of blood on her clothing but the copper smell did follow her around even when she left the complex. "ah that hit the spot" Erin said before moving out andlunching herself up to the top of a building to watch for some action.

8th Ward morning, CCG Branch Office

'This is Jacque L. Marrow, reporting in with my biweekly report as is required by the contract of employment. Ward Eight's ghoul activity remains at a consistent low, more than likely due to the existence of the CCG head quarters in this area. Current ghoul kill count still remains at twelve: Six Bikaku, three Rinkaku, and two Koukaku and one Ukaku. On a separate note, attempts to locate the body of the person of interest- one Koutarou Amon, rank: Special Class, remain fruitless despite my efforts. It is at this time that I would like to submit a formal request to be transferred over to an area with higher concentrations of ghoul activity in order to better fulfill the annual quota that has been listed in the contract of employment. Perhaps Ward Thirteen.'.
Jacque smiled mirthlessly as he reread the email that he was about to send to his superiors before hitting the send button. He waited until the familiar ping of his laptop notified him of the email's departure before shutting the device and leaning back with a sigh in the office chair he'd been provided.

Two years, that was how long he'd been stationed in Tokyo. Not a massive amount of time in the grand scheme of things, but long enough when one was being paid to hunt monsters. Still the money was good, and with the email he'd just sent, Jacque was liable to receive even more payment for his efforts. The contractor lazily reached out onto his desk and held his hand a few inches above the suitcase shaped device that sat innocently next to his work laptop. He let his hand hover there for a few seconds, then snatched up the device, once again marveling at the lightness of the device despite knowing full well what it was like when in use. Jacque held the weapon high over his head, allowing the blade to give off a dull gleam in the fluorescent office lighting. He'd never admit it, but he was beginning to grow a tad bit bored; the main bulk of his work saw him placed in an office chair or crammed into a car or dirty alleyway in search of monsters that were damn near indistinguishable from the average Joe until they went for a bite of your face. In two years he'd seen more ghouls that he'd cared to count, and yet he'd only personally engaged perhaps eighteen, and of those eighteen, only twelve had actually been taken down by him. Jacque stared listlessly at the device in his hand -Molten Rhapsody he'd taken to calling it- and gave a small grunt before getting out of his seat and making his way towards the nearest exit. He needed to get out of this stuffy building and get some fresh air, perhaps take the time to visit some of the other wards.

20th Ward Morning, Market District

"Thank you so very much for your business sir, please come again soon!" The eager voice of a young girl, who couldn't of been over the age of ten, called from behind a small fruit stand nestled among the few dozen or so other similar stands. Both the excited thank you from the girl and the warm smile and small wave farewell from the young woman, obviously the child's mother, standing beside her were directed to a white haired fellow who had just finished purchasing a few bags of jars of assorted fruits from their stand and was now currently making his way through the buzzing crowd that filled the market district. The fair skinned lad was no other than Decim of course, he made frequent trips to the 20th Ward's market in order to pick up fresh produce and other such items for mixing ingredients to use at Haven. He found that his costumers preferred the fresher fruits of the 20th ward as opposed to their canned counterparts, though it all tasted like rotting fish guts to Decim regardless.

As Decim made his way through the crowds with his bags of purchases in either hand he reflected on what his day would be. He would have to travel to the 17th Ward back to Haven, unpack and arrange what he had bought, fix the table that a couple of rowdy collage students managed to break the previous night, clean up the restrooms, and help unload the delivery truck that would be bringing in tonight's shipment of drinks. Decim went through his mental todo list a few times, making sure that he didn't leave anything off of it. This may of seemed like tedious and dull tasks, and in all honesty they were, but Decim was contempt with his duties. They were simple just as he liked them.

After buying a cute little dress for their friend, they had left the shopping district in search for anything... anything at all to do. They could have gone to a cafe, or perhaps an arcade, a place fit for someone of their age. But they didn't want to do anything like that, not now at least. After killing three ghouls through assassination this day, they felt that they didn't have the right to go inside these childish game places. Perhaps their youth was slowly being drained away by their current job. Killing and playing aren't quite the same things. Innocence was something they both lost so long ago yet have reclaimed once again to put up an act.

"Hurry Haruna! Come on!" Haru exclaimed as he ran up the stairs. For some odd reason or another, they entered a building and then Haru broke into a run up the stairs. He had an idea to relieve themselves of boredom yet Haruna wasn't quite sure what it was. She was actually pretty scared on what he might think of... was he carrying water balloons this entire time and want to drop it on other people? That didn't go too well with the superiors before. They both got an earful from them for staging such a stunt. Even if they were kids, they were still CCG officers, people working with the government to exterminate the plague that has taken refuge in their world. Their behavior was not befitting of a professional officer and they were placed under the supervision of this big guy for two days before they were allowed to run free again.

"W-What exactly are you planning to do?" Haruna asked as she desperately tried to keep up with her more energetic and physically fit brother. Compared to him, her stamina was a little low but it was still pretty high. After spending so much time walking around earlier though, it had taken a little toll on her. "That, my dear sister, is a secret! You just need to follow so hustle!" He continued, cheering her on as he already reached the roof while she was still on the last leg of stairs.

The male then proceeded to open the door towards the roof. He first blocked his eyes with his arm to cover the sudden flash of light before walking onto the roof. "This place is perfect for-" He stopped abruptly as his gaze fell upon a black-clothed girl standing near the edge of the building. He got the feeling that she wasn't going to commit suicide, more like what he looks like when he observes everything before looking through his scope. "Hey lady!" He called out as he approached her, his sister following closely behind. Both didn't look like they were on guard, nor did they even look like investigators in the first place. "I'm just going to give my sister here a little food surprise. Hope you don't mind." Haru said. He blew the surprise himself by saying that but he needed to properly explain himself to the lady there as she might think that they're invading her privacy.

He chose this place among others because it looked a little deserted, giving him a perfect chance to simply sit back and not worry about guards heading their way because they broke in and decided to have a little picnic on the roof. He waited for the lady's answer before he would continue to prepare for it since he still didn't have permission. It might not be her building, nor her roof, but she was there first and he respected that. First come, first serve is something to him after all. Haruna walked towards her brother and asked, "So why a picnic?" "Oh my dear sister, do you not understand? You have been craving for a taste of those little cake things right? I know you don't know the name but not to worry, I don't either." Haru explained.

20th Ward Morning, Main Street

After a quick rest, Lenwood stood from his seat and stretched a bit because he was craving for fresh air and what he would do was to stroll around the ward. Shouldn't be called strolling since he would take his car. Lenwood didn't like to waste his energies in commuting or anything else like that so he would use any kind of transportation but it should be comfortable, quick, and accurate. Those three things were important to him and everyone could notice that he was a bit picky.

Bzzz.. Bzzz.. The CCG's channel was really active suddenly when Lenwood entered his cars. The speaker said that there were multiple incidents occurred at once. Lenwood thought to himself, "The ghouls are pretty crazy right now. Seems no one can shut down their appetite.". Lenwood closed his door and stepped on the gas. He was, of course, alone in the car and his only friend was his CCG case a.k.a his Quinque used to fight Ghouls, in case of emergency.

Lenwood's car was approaching the main street that connected with the Market District. Lenwood heard from the CCG's channel that in an alleyway, there was a dead ghoul founded. Immediately, Lenwood turned the steer of the car and the car took a right turn. Lenwood was passing few cars rapidly and finally, he arrived in the scene. In hurry, he quickly stepped out of his car and approached few officers who were clearing the scenes. Lenwood made his entrance and tried to investigate along with his co-workers a.k.a others CCG officers. "Hmmm.. An experienced killer. Kakuhou is on target, bulls' eye. The shooter is very skilled. Of course, this is none other than the twins. The brother used a Sniper Rifle if I'm not mistaken. They finished their job amazingly. Okay, clean the site." Lenwood ordered the others while he returned to his car.

20th Ward, Anteiku Cafe

Jacque stifled a yawn as he stepped out of his jeep and adjusted his glasses to better keep the sunlight out of his eyes. It seemed as though most of the ghoul activity was primarily done around night, as even ward thirteen seemed to be relatively peaceful at the moment. Jacque had no idea that the CCG branch for this particular ward was busy cleaning the kill of other agents, it wasn't his job to know after all. His knowledge of the other wards was mostly limited to what information he was told by other investigators. He was currently using said information to see for himself if the little hole-in-the-wall type cafe he stood in front of really was as good as some of his coworkers claimed it to be.

Jacque left his weapon on the floor floor of the passenger seat of the vehicle as he walked into the cafe. As he entered the establishment Jacque found himself surprised with the quaintness of the place; it was plain and yet somehow as warm and inviting as a home, a far cry from some of the other coffee places he'd been to in his travels which usually focused on ramping up the cool or uniqueness factor in one way or another to reach to the younger customers rather than focusing on making good food and drink. After taking a seat in an empty booth near a window and ordering a cup of columbian brew, Jacque began to gaze out into the streets and at the people passing by, wondering if at some point he'd be made to cleave one of two of them in two for his next paycheck.

Erin had heard the duo coming up the stair since they hit the 5th floor landing so it wasn't much of a surprise that they had come up to the roof. "I don't mind in the least" Erin said with a slight yawn, the metallic smell of blood had all but diminished from the air surrounding her but the one thing that hadn't disappeared was a few spots of blood that were hidden on the inside of her long sleeves. Erin moved legs from under her and laid out on the ledge of the building with her arms acting as a makeshift pillow, slowly closing her eyes until they were open just a crack as to watch what happened.

This building as well as the parking garage were new place to Erin to hunt in and as a result she was overly cautious of things such as people around her. In reality she was freaking out at the thought of the two being with the CCG and hunting her down but with a show of great mental strength fought the fight or flight response that triggered in her head. There was something about the boy and girl that set her on edge but she couldn't put her finger on but she stayed quiet for the time being and just laid still on her back, the literal definition of relaxed. "You don't have to worry about me just pretend i'm not even here" Erin said as a smirk crept across her face.

Haru smiled as the person said that it was alright. In all actuality, he had his suspicions that she might be a ghoul but he wouldn't act on suspicions... or even if he knew it was a ghoul. They would only kill when ordered to kill. The only exception is when they are attacked and they're in a life or death situation. "If you'd like, you can eat too. We won't mind." He said with a smile as he placed his backpack on the ground and sitting down, setting the cloth-like sheathe, acting as a cover for his sniper rifle, beside him. Haruna followed quickly, putting her bow down beside her as well, but this weapon was in plain sight. However, there were no arrows with her.

The male twin placed two bento boxes in front of them and then opened it, revealing some sort of meaty substance on top of white rice. The other one held what she assumed to be a salad with indistinguishable products in it. Her eyes widened at the sight. This was not what she expected... although she was suspecting that her brother had something up his sleeve. "Now, pick one to eat Hana! One is really delicious and I assure you will like it, and the other one is something you really wouldn't want." Haru said, using the girl's nickname, and then laughing.

Haruna looked back and forth between the two bentos, knowing that her brother was serious. She looked a little helpless while her brother either smirked or laughed at her distressed look. She then picked up the salad and then took a bite of it... and she turned green. She forcibly swallowed her food, not wanting to seem like a slob, before coughing and then desperately searching her satchel for any drinks she has. All the while, Haru was just laughing with his hands around his stomach and he was threatening to fall over. "Comedy gold!"

"B-Brother! You're an idiot!" Haruna yelled as she lunged for his backpack, opening it and then drinking his favorite juice in an attempt to at least faze him. He didn't react to it at all. "Grade A idiot!" She yelled once again as she stopped drinking, a blush across her face in the presence of his laughing.

"So the real important difference isn't so much the area it's grown as it is the washing process? Fascinating." Jacque mused aloud much to the amusement of the elderly american man across from him. During his wait for his coffee Jacque had taken to striking up a conversation with one of the patrons when he recognized them to be a foreigner much like himself. The conversation started off with trading names and home towns, how long they'd both been in tokyo, the usual small talk. Then, after Jacque took note of the dog tags dangling around the man's neck, the conversation veered off into military experiences before finally switching into the differences between coffee types when both of their orders arrived. Jacque felt a bit like a child for adding a dollop of half and half and two tea spoons of sugar to his medium roast as the older man drank his dark roast black, but the feelings were forgotten when he actually went to take a sip. True to the words of his coworkers the coffee was pretty damn good: smooth, full bodied and not too acidic almost like a dark roast, and yet still a bit more flavorful like a light roast would be. He went from sipping to draining the cup in just a few short gulps, and was tempted to go for another order before his phone began to buzz in his coat pocket.

The mercenary turned away from his new acquaintance and pulled the phone out, instantly switching to business mode when he recognized the number as his employers. "This is Marrow." He droned somewhat mechanically before a somewhat irritable voice responded with "You aren't at your desk.". "Apologies. I had heard that there was a pretty good coffee shop out in Nerima and wanted to see if it was true.", "Nerima? As in ward twenty?" "Yes sir.". There was a shuffling of papers on the other line which caused Jacque's left brow to quirk, "Pretty convenient time to go for a cup of coffee considering there was a ghoul clean up crew that was dispatched recently. Even more coincidental that it happened to be in the twentieth ward.", Now Jacque's brow raised up even further, "I hadn't been made aware of this. Do we know who was responsible?" "Yes,we know who it was, you, however, don't need to. Don't forget that your employment here hinges on your ability to focus solely on information provided to you specifically. Do I make myself clear?. Jacque sneered ever so slightly at the tone being used towards him, "Transparently. May I ask whether or not anyone has gotten to the request that I made as of yet", "Your request is under evaluation. For now since you're already out you can take the midday patrol shift. You are welcome to do a bit of searching in the other wards on the way back if you see something suspicious, but under no circumstances are you to interfere with the work of any of the investigators outside of ward eight.", "Acknowledged.".

Jacque hung up and shoved the phone into his coat and turned to apologize to the man only to discover the guy had not only disappeared, but had left enough money for both of the coffees. After wondering who the man was and lamenting the fact that he hadn't gotten his name, Jacque rose from his seat and exited Anteiku, now ready to begin his job anew.

"Eh... might as well" Erin said under her breath and sat up to the sight of the bow being set on the ground. "Crap..." was the thought that went through her head but not a word escaped her lips that still had a slight smile on it.

Erin sat down on the ground next to the boy and watched the girl choose between the two bentos that the boy had pulled out. The scene that played out next was that of pure gold as the boy said while he laughed. "That must have been some disgusting stuff even by human standards" she thought and internally gagged at the thought of eating the food.

Behind her hand Erin gave a small laugh then thought of a way to see if they really were the real deal. She tapped the shoulder of the boy and cleared her throat "Hey have you guys heard that that Razor Jack character has moved into this sector?" she asked before pulling a can of iced coffee out of her sleeve and began sipping on it. After a long gulp of it Erin gave a sigh of satisfaction and waited for an answer.

The two had finally calmed down and it didn't seem that Haruna was really that angry with her brother. She then took the other bento, the one with meat in it, and started to eat, satisfaction in her face. Now that was the substance she was looking for. "You really shouldn't eat it." Haruna said as the lady they met earlier had come to them. She thought that she was thinking of having a bite of that vile substance.

Haru then turned to Erin and then tilted his haid. "Razor who?" Was the response that Erin got. They may have been legit investigators but they never really took any other reports besides the ones they are given and so they weren't exactly aware of any other ghouls. If that was an advantage to the ghoul or not was a mystery. After all, even if they would encounter a ghoul, they'd really rather not fight. "No clue who that is. How 'bout you sis?"

Haruna shook her head. "Neither do I. Is it another ghoul?" She asked the girl in front of them. It was just a random guess since if they should be aware, it should've been a ghoul."Or a standup comedian? Or a magician? Ooh, if he was a magician, I'd really like to see him!" The girl said, clapping her hands twice. She then proceeded to fix both her bento and the infernal bento she had the misfortune to ingest.

She seemed to preoccupied with fixing that Erin just might have the chance to snatch the bow from the young girl. She could do it but then again, it seemed that the two were practically harmless. The bow didn't look any special, just a normal black longbow. Perhaps customized so she could proudly say that she owns it? "Oh!" She gasped before looking at Erin. "We forgot to introduce ourselves. I'm Haruna, or Hana, and that is my brother Haru." She said before going back to cleaning.

Erin smiled at the fact that they didn't seem to know about her or even care for that matter but after looking at the bow and how the boy Haru put down the cloth bundle next to him she put two and two together, "You two must not get around much then, anyway my name is Alex nice to meet the both of you." she said immediately reverting to the fake she used when making "friends". "That Razor Jack ghoul's actually pretty notorious in other sectors they probably haven't even been able to discover what kind of ghoul they are" Erin said before taking a long sip from the coffee and continuing "It's really a wonder that you haven't heard of them especially since, and I'm just speculating here, you're with the CCG" she nodded to the bow with a a bit of a know it all look.

Erin paused for a moment and let that fact sink in before standing up and dusting off; she stopped when she heard the bell around her neck ring from the movement but it was a faulter that would have been almost indistinguishable from her getting up. "Yeah if you want to go undercover you should put on a cosplay instead of street clothes since you're gonna just carry a bow around" Erin said with a short chuckle and started stretching her joints out, "anyways I say we celebrate us being new acquaintances by playing a little game when you're finished, and don't worry, it's nothing super dangerous" she said with a sharp shift of her neck which let out a audible *POP*.

Haru shrugged. "Hello there Alex." He said before smiling at the girl and just looked at her. She then said her speculations and then something like a game. He then laughed. "Do you really think we're that clueless? Yeah, we're with the CCG, Razor Jack, but we have no intentions of killing right now. You are aware that most civilians don't even know things like ghouls that are notorious on the other wards right? As you can see, we're having a little picnic." He said, gesturing to the now fixed bento boxes. "Or at least, we're going to start drinking."

Haruna giggled. "It was obvious when you didn't even try to take a bite of the bento boxes you know? And then you started to only drink coffee." She then reached for her backpack and took out two coke cans and threw one to her brother and then opened it. "We're not on duty so we don't really want to fight. Please understand that." She said. "We don't really mind dining with a ghoul. I mean, we have done it before, and you can still see that ghoul alive and well. If we don't fight, then we promise that we won't speak a word of it to the CCG. They always say that we're young and foolish, pranksters, so they won't believe us even if we told them." She continued before drinking for her can. "Actually, most people just think that my bow is just a normal longbow used in archery training. Since there are now arrows, they don't suspect that I can't hurt them." She continued, as she gestured to the bow, still resting beside its owner.

But they prepared themselves to dodge once she attacks, in case she does. They were trained when they were young and have been young parkour trainers so they were well on their way of devising an escape route all the while, dodging the ghoul's attacks. But of course, they were sincere on what they were saying. As prepared to run as they may be, they might not even have a chance to counter attack. They were long range fighters, but that does not mean they are not capable of using their quinque knives that are hidden under their jackets. Or they could use the short range pistol loaded with Q bullets.

Jacque whistled lowly as he sauntered about one of several suspected feeding grounds in the Nerima ward in his search for ghouls. Thus far nothing had cropped up, which to him was fine considering he was more so interested in mapping out the other wards on his way back in case such information was ever needed. With him being given clearance to patrol a bit outside of his designated sector, the mercenary took the time to thoroughly comb over the areas he hit, although not so thoroughly as to not keep track of the time. After all: He was being paid to patrol ward eight, the other wards were merely being checked for future personal gain rather than for the sake of him going above and beyond in the name of duty. With yet another section turning up neither useful tidbits or signs of ghoul activity, Jacque pulled out a small tablet like device from one of his coat's interior pockets and hefted his weapon up to support it while he typed. His fingers were a blur across the screen as he brought up his notes section and started to type, 'Ward 20 notes: Rumors of the docile nature of the Nerima ward are thus far appearing to be true. Strangely the ghoul activity here appears to mirror that of the Kōtō ward. CCG patrol units appear to be equally scarce, making the lack of ghoul activity all the more of an oddity. Places of interest: Antieku coffee shop (pretty good coffee; given the diet of ghouls this might be a popular place among their kind) and Shakujii Park (large; plenty of places to hunt and hide).'.

Satisfied, the mercenary restored the device to its resting place and allowed his weapon to dangle at his side once more before spinning on his heel. He was stopped in his tracks by the sight of a familiar form blocking his path. "We meet again. I don't suppose you're here because you forgot to ask my name earlier, did you?" He asked the old man, "I'm afraid not son, though I suspect you already know what's coming next, you being with the CCG and all.', the man retorted with a gesture towards the weapon in Jacque's hand. Jacque exhaled loudly through his nose and rolled his head a bit, eliciting a series of pops from the vertebrae in his neck, "I just want you to know son: This isn't personal. It's just you or me, and a guy's gotta eat." The man said as the sclera of his right eye turned black and his iris red, "I understand, so long as you understand that i'm not going to make this easy for you.". Jacque extended his thumb and pressed the button on the handle of his quinque as the old man began to rush forward. The blade of the weapon lit up a vibrant shade of orange as part of the blade swung out and unfurled to its full length. The old man meanwhile prepared for battle himself: His left arm exploded into a red mass of Rc cells before reshaping to form a massive two pointed claw in the shape of a double helix.
Jacque hefted his weapon up as the ghoul bore down on him with the tip of his kagune. Knowing full well that he was no match for a ghoul in a match of strength, let alone a koukaku user, Jacque lunged to the side, leaving the pointed tips of the kagune to pierce the asphalt rather than the soft flesh it sought out. The old man grit his teeth and ripped his kagune out of the ground at an angle to block Jacque's molten rhapsody just before it could cleave into him, leaving the two staring face to face momentarily, "One eye huh? That means you were human originally, right?", "You know yer stuff.".

The old man quickly overpowered Jacque, forcing the mercenary to bend a knee as he continued to press his quinque against the kagune to avoid being impaled "This weapon means you're a rank two, right? How long've you been working with the CCG?" "Two years, but i'm a bit of a special case." Jacque growled through grit teeth "Oh? How's that?". Jacque pulled his weapon away and rolled to the side, but not before receiving a blow to his shoulder for his troubles, "Sorry-" He began as he reached up and grasped the bloody mess of shredded clothing and flesh, "I'm not at liberty to discuss my job. Orders are orders.. The old man nodded knowingly before he charged again. This time Jacque waited until his quarry got in close, then, as the old man reared his kagune back to begin his assault, Jacque placed both of his hands back in his quinque and twisted to the side as the old man lunged with his kagune. Despite his ghoul nature the old man was still affected by the ravages of time; as he struck out at the open air, he was too slow to pull back as Jacque's weapon came down hard on exposed flesh. Were Jacque not injured the cut would have been clean and precise, the quinque would have sliced vertically through flesh and bone and left a relatively neat stub in its wake. That was not the case here: Jacque's injured shoulder forced him to alter his cut, to angle it part of the way through to mitigate the pain in his shoulder he received for his action. The result was a mess: The kagune dropped off, exposing torn flesh and the shattered remains of the old man's humerus, topping off the gruesome display with a splurt of blood as his arties attempted to pump blood into a limb that was no longer there. The old man shrieked in both surprise and agony as he fell forward onto the ground thanks to his momentum. Jacque wasted no time waiting to attack again. He pressed his foot on the small of the old man's back and brought his weapon down twice, the first time; at the man's neck, both to allow an efficient kill and end the man's pain filled struggling swiftly, and the second; below the man's shoulder blades, ensuring that the there would be less weight to carry when someone came to cart off the body to extract the man's kagune sac. His work done, Jacque stepped back and fell onto his rear before fishing through his pockets for the small hand radio he'd been issued by the CCG. With a wince he pressed the 'all call' button to broadcast to all available CCG radios, "This is rank 2 officer Jacque Marrow. I've just dispatched a one-eyed koukaku type ghoul and am in need of both a clean up crew and medical attention. I'm currently located in the sublevel of a parking garage in Ward 20, approximately eight miles due east of the Anteiku Cafe. I repeat, eight miles due east of the Anteiku Cafe, parking garage sublevel". With his message delivered, Jacque dropped the radio and gripped his bloody shoulder before gingerly bringing a knee to his chest to prop up his arm.

Erin began laughing when they had said they didn't want to fight, "Hey who said I wanted to fight!" she said with deep breath, calming down from her laughing fit. "Anyways you two can calm down, if I really wanted to fight and maybe kill you I wouldn't have even allowed you too see me when you first came up those steps". "I need to practice the whole blending in thing Huh?" Erin said with a small laugh obviously putting on a show to cover up the surprise in her voice "I must have stood out like a sore thumb."

Erin finished off her can of coffee and crushed the can in her hand, after a second of staring at the twins she put her hands palm up in front of her as a sign of trust. "I told though all I wanted to do was play a game of tag when you guys were done with your little picnic nothing at all like what you were most likely thinking" she said with sincerity in her voice and an unseen smile behind her scarf.

The two young and mischievous [or at least one of them] looked at each other as Razor Jack laughed. They didn't quite understand since most ghouls would still try to attack. "Oh! Well apologies then." Haruna quickly said before standing up and then taking her backpack and bow. She then shook her head. "No, you're actually pretty good!" She said, as if trying to reassure the ghoul. "We're just too used to ghouls that we start to catch small hints. But I guess it was just some luck that we managed to guess right brother?"

The black and white haired teen nodded. "Yeah. It was a wild guess too. Maybe we just got too used to ghouls attacking us before hearing us out and when you suggested a game, we immediately thought you were a ghoul." He said before standing up himself and taking his backpack and sniper rifle. "But how about something a little different from a game of tag?" He said with a toothed grin, bringing another sense of nervousness from Haruna. He took out two paintball guns, each packed with one canister filled with paint. "I was actually thinking of bringing more fun to this place. I was planning on taking my sister on a parkour run around this block while shooting at people using paint." He continued, explaining his original intent.
