Names have power people, the fae do NOT give out their names, they generally indentify as species or a nickname.

To the second point, I apologize, I thought that for fae at least, name would function similar to Eragon, in which they have a common name, and then a true name that they simply have at birth. So how should Ardaie address Tegvan?

He's the Fall King, King of Fall. Generally as one ruler addresses another. And no, it's their full name for Fae and Human. Think Dresden Files, sorta.
