"Of course I didn't. I like to pretend it's not my fault when things like that happen, but I guess I just let myself get too into the moment. It's like venting all your problems onto somebody else. The best KIND of therapy!" He threw his hands up in the air for expression before smirking slyly to Wes. "Though I suppose you wouldn't agree." He lowered his hands into his lap and suddenly got really serious. "When you grow up with the entire world telling you you're a monster, twisted, and evil... you tend to accept it. But once you accept it, you become it. There's no going back when you're that far into the deep end."

Jen was also unsteady.
'Have to end it soon,' she thought, panting heavily.

Just stand there, let me rejuvenate my strength... Veronica crouched, resting as much as possible while at a distance.

Jen started to move forwards, her fists up and ready.

Veronica waited until Jen got into range and did the levitation move again, except this time, altering between back of the feet and front of the feet. Altering until her balance was lost, then turned her body so the uncovered arm was away from Jen and did a quick jab deep into her solar plexus and backed off.

"Well...it doesn't matter if I agree or not. Nothing I say will change you from what you believe and what you wanna do. If that girl was someone I was fond of, Then I could respond in a way that I'd want to beat your ass but that's not the case. I just felt you could've ended it faster and not as brutal. but again...it doesn't matter what I think." Wes could sort of understand where Kiiros was coming from being labeled something and turning out what people thought the individual. "For once, I can sorta agree....I tend to see myself as nothing more than a freak of nature from what many enemies of mine have said...so...I've kind grown numb to the prejudice and gained indifference for just about life in general and basically found myself unable to die." He said that not wanting pity or anything of that sort but to speak of what he usually had that nonchalant, indifferent attitude.

Jen took the blow and used some of the momentum to swing herself around, her leg flying out to kick at Veronica.

Veronica was focused on the moment, everything seemed to happen in slow motion. Her covered arm grabbed the kicking leg and used it to push her to the ground. She hobbled back, making sure she was only close enough for her own power to maintain effect.

Jen snarled, trying to push herself up before collapsing. She let out a pant and turned over so she was staring up at the ceiling.

"It's not a matter of what you see yourself as, because I think I'm a pretty good guy. Let me put it this way: I'm someone that'll help an old lady across the street, open doors for people, carry a strangers shopping bags for them, or save a child from drowning." Kiiros gave Wes a sideways glance. "I'm also someone that can kill an entire family without remorse, set fire to an orphanage and kill someone 5 times my size." Then he said with a very cheery tone "I'm the full pack!" smiling happily as if he didn't just admit to being a cold blooded murderer. "Perfect for babysitting, AND killing your most hated enemies!"

Ryouko figured he had sat long enough in this silent state, and so he leaned against the edge of the Audience Area, tapping his fingers against it as he grinned. They both were good at fighting...He wondered how they'd fare with weapons. Ryouko tapped the side of his headphones, trying to discern a sudden mess up in his music, an eyebrow raised.

"Guards! Are we done yet! Is this not enough?" She shouted as she knew both were out of energy. She loosened the heating on Jen.

"You sound like a living contradiction....from what you just explained." Wes responded while giving a small smirk. He saw that the match between the ladies seemed to be over. "A tie huh?"

"You cant end in a draw. One of you has to take down the other."The guard answered. There were no easy ways out. It was all or nothing her. The missions they would be sent on weren't the average kind. They were the kind that got people killed. They couldn't all these teens to be soft.

This had to end now. Veronica focused on over heating and unbalancing her opponent. Keeping always just outside of her reach. One or two hard strikes to either would end this.

Jen let out a sigh and ran towards Veronica one last time, looking like she was ready to punch, ignoring how uncomfortably hot she felt for a few more seconds

Veronica dodged to the side just before she landed the punch and put one final, covered, punch into Her side. Also putting the full levitating push the opposite way, ensuring She would fall.

Jens punch never hit Veronica. She'd never gone for the punch in the first place, instead going for a much different tactic. She allowed herself to fall, making sure she landed on her side as she took Veronica's legs out from underneath her at the same time.

How...is she...still... Veronica was starting to fall, starting to lose focus. The last, desperate, move was here. Veronica used the fall in two ways, use the leg momentum to get a hard kick in on her head, the other was use all her body force to land as hard as possible on her stomach. The remainder of outside energy was used to keep Jen from rolling out of the way, no escape.
