"Comforting to know I don't HAVE to save you. I mean what if I was too tired or didn't feel like it? At least that's a load off my back." He smiled innocently as he spoke his mind freely. "If you can take care of yourself just fine, then you don't need anybody." He folded his arms behind his head, sitting back with his eyes closed. "You've lasted this long after all. Who needs people holding them back anyway?"

'I'm gonna have to step it up,' Jen thought. She kept her fists up as she slowly circled Veronica, looking for an opening or weakness.

Veronica matched Jen as they circled, a new plan would be necessary. Circling like a predator...predators look for weakness...but attacking a strong point could prove fatal... Veronica slowly approached Jen with a fake limp in her back leg.

'I know a limp when I see one,' Jen thought, before charging forward, bringing a fist down to hit the leg. Just before it connected, she brought her elboe up and deep into the stomach of the other girl.

Veronica had little time to react but was in a good position. She brought her left arm down to block or at least slow the attack, and put a large amount of force into a heavy elbow on her attackers head.

"I am going to take a lot of beating when we do training. I've never fought before. Everyone else has some experience." Katherin answered. There was nothing to be done about it. She would have to learn as she went. It was all she could do. Her life was always a struggle. She had survive this long. She could make this work.

Wes just looked over at Kiiros silently while he was speaking. What was this boy playing at. What's his true motive? This was something that went through his mind concerning Kiiros. "Maybe...." he simply replied back. "Did you have to go that far in your fight with that winged girl?" Wes asked, changing the subject.

Jen let the force push her down, grabbing Veronicas leg with her other arm, before lifting it up and rolling into the girl, flipping her into her back.

Damien nodded. "I get it. I think. But hey, you're a fighter. We all are. And fighters make it through. So if you're gonna tough it out, I'll tough it out with ya Katherin. Got that?" It was best to be truthful as possible and speak his mind as clearly as he can in situations like this. He liked the friends he had here. All of them really. Kiiros was an asshole but hopefully, when the time is right, he'll pull through. Damien didn't have a chance to make some real friends, not with him moving about. It was partly his choice, but Damien was thankful to whatever god was up there to bless him with acquaintances that were like him. Mutants. And not only acquaintances, but friends more so.

Gah! Ow! Still hurts, but it is the same move as before, more or less. Veronica compressed her leg and kicked with as much force as she could muster, launching Jen with the momentum. She then followed through with the roll and got back onto her feet, now visibly not as stable. The brief respite allowed for some more healing.

'That legs weak now. She'll be moving a bit slower. Then again, so am I.'
Jen knew that if she could get a touch on the girl then that would vastly improve her chances. She smiled a little as she thought up a plan.

Ryouko watched the fight from the audience area, his eyes locked on Jen and Veronica's moves. He kept quiet, popping his neck, as he tapped the small orb of blood that was hidden still, in his pocket.

The fight lasting this long proved a two things: One- Jen is more badass than most would think from common encounters, Two- more drastic measures would need to be used to win. Veronica was now going to go to the edge of what she could tolerate herself doing. Veronica now would use gamma rays to heat Her feet and also redirected the heat Jen was emitting back into her body. "I'm sorry." She said as she did this.

"I was about to say the same thing," Jen said as she felt herself start to heat up as she leapt forward and grabbed Veronica's sleeve with two hands, tugging it apart abd ripping the material.

No. Jen would be too focused on trying this finishing move. Veronica used her other fist to deliver a hard upper cut to the jaw followed by a swift kick, with her good leg, to the chest. She now also began channeling her own body heat into Jennifer. This was the breaking point, all of her energy was going into keeping Veronica in the fight and getting Jen to go down.

Ryouko saw what they were doing to each other and paled slightly, his legs tensing up. This wasn't a very good matchup for either of them. And yet, Ryouko's smile still stayed in place unlike before, though his eyes weren't lit up the way they should. They were calculating, though cautious. He tried his best to drown out any noise.

"Sorry," Jen croaked out, and placed her hand on Veronicas bare arm, draining energy quicker than usual.

No. No. I....can't.... Veronica fell backwards, barely catching herself on the ground. She scrambled up and moved back. She created a blinding light around herself as she caught her breath.

Jen rubbed her jaw, her hair remaining orange.
'Ow,' she thought, 'But, I drained a lot from her. And that means I got a lot for myself as well. This does not help with heat problem.'

Your friends are being attacked....by her....she stole food...now they may starve....I must push on... The light stopped and Veronica was standing there, in no defensive position, 20 meters away. She was wobbly and was struggling to keep her mind focused.
