The marvel of a fight they just had could be appreciated now that she knew they were both fine. Her powers had escaped her sometimes...and that had been really bad.

"You think I was bad?! You should have seen yourself. You're slippery, smart, and a creative thinker," Jen said, remembering several of the moves that the girl had pulled on her, "Some of the things you did with your power were insane."

"Thanks, my power requires more thought than just 'flame sword and armor'. And you, I never thought you couldn't fight! Just didn't expect this shy girl to kick more ass than a professional bare-knuckle boxer!" She exclaimed. She then leaned in a bit. "I'll tell you the story of that Bare-knuckle boxer later, just know that he totally deserved it." The last time Veronica had a conversation like this was back when she was in school.

Jen smiled a little.
"Yeah, you learn fast or live fast on the streets," She said, before blushing a little, "I'm not that shy."

This was a good moment that wood likely be ruined by Kiiros soon. "Ain't that the truth." Veronica said as she blushed through a smile.

Jen looked away feeling embarrassed as she fell into an awkward silence.

Veronica stood up eager to brake the sudden silence. "Do you think they still have food we can eat? That battle has left me hungry." She said just before going over to a guard. "Can we get food? Maybe snacks, or we could get some of that left over pizza..."

"I'm not hungry, but I'll come along," Jen said, standing up and following Veronica.

Right, doesn't eat regularly. Probably got her fill during the battle... Veronica scorned herself for not remembering such a major fact about Jennifer. Though she did wonder why she would come along anyway. "You can get some of the pizza from the cafeteria, you won't get much until the later."

Jen smiled as she headed towards the cafeteria.

The Cafeteria had a guard in on duty, five sitting at a far table eating a variety of foods, and two pizzas still sitting on the table. No doubt they were now cold...but being able to microwave food on-demand was handy for these things. Veronica walked over and took a piece of Veggie and a slice of Hawaiian and made a sandwich with them. "Can you taste food? Like if you put it in your mouth and just tasted it. Sure you can't actually eat it, but at least the taste remained right?" Veronica said before taking a few bites from her pizza sandwich, wondering what it would be like to eat a pineapple for the first time.

"Can definitely taste stuff. But its really awkward trying to let stuff sit in my mouth and then spitting it back out. I seem to be okay with liquids though, don't ask me how," She said, drinking from a glass of water to demonstrate.

That was the inevitability of tasting but not eating, unfortunate really. "The liquids probably work because of diffusion...you don't know what that is do you? Diffusion is where liquids and the like can go in and out of a cell, so water will just be absorbed by a cell. Sorry for the mini-Biology lesson, I am a bit of a nerd." Veronica smiled awkwardly as she went in for another bite.

"Its ok. I'm a bit geeky myself. I used to run all of Dolly's accounts for her. Despite only being 16," she said, smiling, "I really lik numbers."

"Impressive, math works it's way into everything, even scavenging for food makes you think about weight and calories. Being good at math makes many aspects of life easier, not all though, as we both know." Veronica frowned, quickly stuffing some more food into her mouth.

"No. Not all of them. It's a shame. If I hadn't had this power, I probably could have gotten a really swanky job."

Veronica nearly chocked as she heard these words enter her ears. "Swanky? What kind of 'swanky job'?"

Jen shrugged.
"An accountant, a statistician. Something like that," she said.

[Ryouko]

Ryouko Ashborn walked along the edge of the audience area, practicing his balance. The sphere of blood was moving along his hand, as he focused on it, dividing his attention to be able to hold the ball of blood aloat. The red sphere began to rotate, making a whirlpool, that flipped upside down and yet, kept going.

He neared the end of the edge and stood there, relaxed against the wall, smiling at the blood that seemed to change to different things at Random. Though this was only as busy as his mind was, it may seem different to some. He had figured that this would be best, to practice whatever he could.

The thought of someone wanting to be an accountant seemed odd, the Veronica thought about herself, she hadn't thought about getting an actual job since before she ran away. "Never thought of an accountant as 'swanky' before, but hey, to-each-his-own right?" She then finished off the food. "Want to go back to the others now?"
