It was hard to argue with her. "For now, we wait and see. But you will need to be fight ready one day, and I will help you prepare for that day whenever you want."

"We will see if they allow it. If they do, I would appreciate any help I can get." Katherin assured her. She meant it. She was willing to learn. She wanted to be able to help the others with the missions. She wanted to be part of the team. She just wasn't sure how useful she would be.

While waiting around, one of the guards called out.

Wesley.....David....you're up for combat. Come down to the arena floor.

Wes looked on and gave a small smirk "About time..." standing up and stretching as he walked from the spectator seat and made it to the floor. He kept his hands in his pockets being nonchalant getting to the middle of the floor, waiting on David to come down so they could start their battle. What was David going to do? what kind of tricks did he have? will I adapt fast enough in combat against another power user? these questions were stirring in Wesley's mind as he waited.

David smirked walking onto the arena. Plenty of places to drain energy from down there. He looked at Wesley and said "Well....lets go." His eyes flashed as he used his energy to make increase his physical stats. David charged slamming a fist into Wesley's face

When David joined him, Wesley kept his hands in his pockets as he nodded to David when he spoke. he didn't respond first, willingly stood there for a moment letting David go for the first attack. he saw his eyes flash and quickly rushed him as Wes took the strong punch which knocked him off his feet about a yard or two. Still with his hands in his pockets, the side of Wes' face was throbbing as he sat up and went to stand. A little dazed, he stood back up to his feet to look over at David wondering what he was going to do next.

David rose a eyebrow. Why the hell did he just take the punch? What the hell is he planning. David put his hands to the floor and and closed his eyes. The lights flickered as he was draining energy from the arena. "Wes, Im asking you now to give up this fight. I dont want to hurt you man." David said

From his warning, Wes looked around the arena as the lights flickered. Seeing that David was absorbing the energy to power himself up, Wes could feel his body altering itself to help him adapt to the situation now that he's be exposed to it. With a smile, Wes pulled his hands out of his pockets "And I'm going to ask you now, give me your all." Bringing his hand up with a 'Bring it' gesture. It wasn't cockiness...and not exactly carelessness but...it was more out of curiosity as to how far his body can be pushed.

David smirked and cracked his neck and his knuckles. "Fine..lets go." He said seeing Wes' body change. David then said "are you ready for this?" His hand began glowing and he fired the energy he took form the arena in to a blast. "I can absorb energy. Making my self stronger or firing it out."

"As ready as I'll ever be." as soon as David's hand glowed and fired a blast of energy, Wes went to cover and brace himself from the attack. His skin at first became durable to be able to take higher amounts of damage but that wasn't enough, he was pushed back yet again as his current adaptation wasn't able to fully protect him, causing a bit of damage to his skin until is started shifting into a more rock-like substance, increasing his durability and strength. "That's a very useful ability of yours but..." Wes started running towards David taking a strong leap to go for an overhead punch, trying to reach and hopefully damage David with his new adaptability.

Kiiros laid back in one of the seats, remaining in the audience area after Wesley left him to go fight David. He never really got to see much of Wesley's adaptability but so far he was quite intrigued. He never saw much of David use his powers either. He mostly kept to himself, hell Kiiros didn't even know what David's power was. 'Energy huh? Kind of like some different version of Jen's ability. Though he doesn't feed off of it, he uses it.' Kiiros has always been an observant individual, he has to be for both jobs he has back in Galevein. He thought it was strange when David had randomly grabbed the computer back in the IQ test. 'So he draws energy from electronics. That's interesting.' David could prove to have quite the capability in a facility that's likely full of massive sciency electronics. However, Wes's ability to adapt to practically everything is not only a major defence, but also a major offence. Nonetheless... "My money's on the black one, hehe."

Damien watched in glee as he got see more powers be displayed in front of them. Wes's resilience was admiring, although he hasn't really delve into offence yet, until an overhead punch came out of nowhere. David on the other hand had decided to dim the lights of the arena and use the conducted energy as his weapon. Damien figured how this worked out but knew that energy wasn't limitless. If David's plan was to drain energy and only use that, then there would be a very clear winner. Damien didn't reply to Kiiros's comment, but he leant back putting his hands behind his head instead.

David smirked as he saw the attack blocked. "Interesting...your skin sure is tough..." He saw part of it was damaged. "But it appears you have a limit." David saw his arms turn more rocklike. David focused more of the energy into his arms and legs. He leaped up sending his fist as well. David took the punch but managed to get one of his own in. The force sent hi back a little

As the blunt forces collided, Wes was knocked back, shaking off the impact of David's punch. Now...Wes' body didn't change again, staying in it's current condition unless the threat became any greater. Wes smirked "Yeah....I have a limit until my body adapts itself to go pass that limit as possible. So...you have me curious...will you gain more power to over power me....or....will my body automatically keep changing until I finally gain the physical attributes to knock you down?" Wes was looking like Thing, from fantastic four while he brought his fists up and got in boxing stance. bending his knees and bobbing back and forth. Instead of rushing in, he started to walk in closer to David to get into hitting distance. Now that both were physically enhanced, who was going to break first? Wes looked into David's eyes and kept his peek-a-boo stance, dashing it to go for the attempted two right jabs to the face, left hook to the torso and a step in right uppercut to try and put in a 4 hit combo.

David smirked knowing Wes wasnt going to fall from that punch. "Well Wes, lets find out then. Whos power will knock the other out first?" he saw Wes looked like the Thing now. David closed his eyes concentrating the energy to make himself stronger. He smirked seeing Wes could box."I'll make this fiar and just make this fight up close and personal." David said and he got in his combat stance and walked closer. His eyes looked back into his. David fists collided with the first three punches. He cursed as the upprcut hit him, but sent tried a roundhouse kick to his chest

After the matched collision of fists, causing a small shock wave with each, Wes look a little satisfied with the uppercut landing but With his attributes, allowing his reaction time and reflex increase, Wes swayed back from the kick and went to follow up going for a rushing shoulder block to try and further get David off balance so that Wes could make an attempt to tackle David to the ground.
"Tch...you don't have to restrict yourself...do whatever you want." he said

Jen watched the matchup closely.
'I wouldn't last a second in there,' She thought, seeing the power of the punches being thrown.
