"That's the first time I've ever been called amazing. My name is Jennifer, but you can call me Jen," She said quietly, not sure how to respond to this.
Usually people didn't want to talk to her. Most of them just screamed or ran away.

After Kiiros finally humoured the doctor about his powers, he hopped off of the table. The guards decided to let up a little with the exception of two that kept their eyes on him. The doctor was already gone and a scientist had stated something about an obstacle course, but he wasn't paying too much attention. He was watching the four across the room. He couldn't help but feel a little left out and went to go join them, but was stopped when a guard roughly grabbed his arm. "You're not going any where out of our sight after that little stunt you pulled." Frowning, Kiiros dropped his shoulders and sighed. "What about the cuffs? Can you at least take them off?" he raised both hands up to the guard. "That's a privilege, not a right. When you prove to us that you can behave, then we'll consider giving you more freedom." The guard pulled him by the arm, leading him out of the exam room. 'Guess I'll have to play the good boy for a while then.' he sighed.

Damien smiled at Jen's response. "Of course! It's also a pleasure to meet you too Veronica. My name is Damien, electricity and traversal is my game, so this obstacle course sounds really fun!" Damien couldn't hold back the glee of actually showing off his powers in combination with his parkour skills. "What do you guys think is going to be in it?" he asked as he began walking with the escorts and the others. He then turned as he overheard the hothead who got pulled over and lectured by a guard. Serves him right... cocky bastard.

Jen pondered a moment.
"If i was designing a course, I would put an aspect in it to challenge every type of physical activity. Strength, dexterity, endurance," She said eventually.

Damien put his hands behind his head, also trying to visualise a course similar to Jen's description. "Yeah, you're probably right about that." Damien then had a random unrelated thought cross his brain. He turned around to Jen and walked backwards as he talked. "Hey, do you get hungry? I'm just curious."

Very eager, that Damien. The girl though, Jen, more timid. "Well it is good to meet you both. My power is more local energy manipulation. So Jen is some sort of energy vampire? Cool. You guys don't seem to bad. That other guy seems to be a bit hotheaded though.". That obstacle course will probably be one of the things that devides us, i wonder if they will reach that conclusion.

They talked as they followed the guards to the obstacle course.

"I have never been called a wonder either. I haven't ever met anyone with abilities. It is nice to know that I am not alone in the world." Katherin said softly as she followed the other through the halls. They were taken to what looked like a large gym the obstacle course was nothing like she had seen before. She worried that she would make a fool of herself. She didn't have a lot of skills beyond flying. She wondered how the others would do.

Damien's eyes widened at the obstacle course. He felt like a child in a candy store. There was so much stuff!. "This... is... so... cool!" He commented

Jen looked down.
"Sort of. I don't think its hunger like you feel it. I just feel weak. And then the weakness turns to pain," She said quietly.
She looked up when they reached the assault course. Her brow creased a little as she thought about how she was going to get around it.

Wow.Are people really that evil to not appreciate such fine individuals? I guess I got off pretty easy, hideable power, understanding people -mostly-, I hope the best for all of us moving onward." the obstacle course was impressive, it looked like something she saw on a TV show a long time ago. This may be a real challenge.

Damien's ears were perked a little, and he felt a bit sorry for Jen. "Do you... feel weak now?" Damien asked as he turned around and looked at her.

So how do you guys plan on taking this on? I probably have enough strength and stamina to get through most of it, could use my power to help recover the rest.". Wondering how the others would get on.

Jen bit her lip.
'Should I tell him? I don't want him to feel like he has to feed me,' She thought.
Finally she sighed.
"I haven't felt strong for the past 2 years, 3 month and 5 days." She said.

James looked over at the others, just kinda listening in on their conversation. Though in his head he was thinking of what they'd need to do for this obstacle course. The scientists here would probably mess with them during it, or make it unreasonably difficult. His mind ran through the possibilities.

The two guards lead him to the obstacle course and they stood next to the group of others. Kiiros turned to them with a grin "Sup." The guard holding his arm, tugged him back. He pouted at the guard. 'Guess they don't want me socializing...'

"Do you think you can make it through this course, Jen?" Some slight worry crept into Veronica. A person that must have been so isolated may need some help...

Damien looked at the red head dude before he got tugged back. "What's up dude." He greeted back. He then turned back in shock at Jen's revelation and Veronica's comment. Damien looked back at the guards. "Hey! Remove her cuffs, she needs to be at peak condition for your "experiment", right?" He commented. Damien then pushed up the sleeve of his hoodie to reveal his skin. "I don't care what you say, I want you to take a bit." Damien emphasized to Jen.

The air behind Veronica darkened, channeling energy from the air into her body was immensely difficult with the specialized cuffs on. Before anyone had time to react, Veronica put one of her hands on Jen's neck. The feeling of being drained was... different, a mixture of pain and tiredness. Veroncica fell back after a few moments. "Hope that was enough to get you through." Veronica muttered as guards came over to check on her.

Kiiros eyed over the group and the other mutants in the room. 'I can't believe there are others like me. I've lived all my life thinking I was the only one of my kind.' Granted he felt very special, but now that he knows there's more like him with their own cool powers, he doesn't feel so special any more. The obstacle course was huge, it almost took up the entire area. Each obstacle is drastically different than the previous. It would be interesting to see how they'd all fair with this challenge.

Jen let out a cry as she felt the influx of energy from Veronica, her hair and eyes turning orange.
"Why would you do that?! Now you wont be able to do the assault course!" She said, shocked more by the feeling of someone touching her than anything.
