Magic: Veranidia

Strengths: The power to give others the feeling of torture to anyone that she wants to. It transfers the pain 2 times worse than the pain she is experiencing or thinking of at the time. If she were to be dying, she could give 2/3 of the pain to the other person while having to only deal with 1/3 of it afterward.

Weaknesses: This power is something that wants to cause pain to others. If she actually suppresses the urge, the pain will not only cause her to have the pain 2 times worse but if she is thinking of something like torture, it will make that pain become extremely real and sometimes worse. Also, once she manages to suppress it, coughing up blood and getting a major headache is a normal occurrence.

Skills: Reading and writing are something she excels in but math and science are a passion of hers. Math is her favorite subject to learn about.
As well as her main spell, if she actually wanted to she is able to enchant people to follow her orders for about 10 minutes. She learned this from Akito

Catalyst: A scar that is star shaped with a sword in the middle, which was inflicted onto her by her mother. It is positioned on her arm, just above her wrist. It appears to be bleeding but that is just the way it appears. While it does give her more strength, the main reason it was given to her at the time was punishment. For the first 2 months that she had it, it often caused her to blackout and have extreme pains within her body. It does still hurt, so if someone were to grab her arm suddenly and grip onto it, there is a high chance that she will begin to scream a bit and tears may fall.

Inventory: She always has a black satchel. It contains a full on first aid kid, a pencil, notepad, a strip of paper that says the words "To die is only to flee" It is her good luck charm given to her by ______, and a bunch of more stuff to help her get through a day.

The sword causes her to remember and experience the pain that her father caused her. It takes her back to a cage that she was often chained in and will last for about 15-20 minutes. She will cry and then rest for a while after using it.

Familiar: Not a familiar but more like a loyal servant/friend that helps her when she needs it.

Personality: Emi is someone that practically hates herself and never thought that she deserved to live. She may come off as a girl that doesn't care about others but that is not true at all. She does try her best to be less negative so that the people around her are not affected but often fails. Extremely shy, jittery, and awkward in front of people that she doesn't know but is more clingy and sweet with people she is used to. Even if she is used to them, that does not mean that she actually laughs a lot around them. It just means that she can actually smile more with them. She does love and treasure the people that she is close to which mostly consisted of Tanakasa Akito. She is very easy to scare and becomes worried about others easily. Complimenting people is a habit of hers but she is not a fan of receiving them. She is not exactly capable of hating anyone. Her parents are not even hated by her since she believes that she deserves everything bad that comes to her. --More in IC.

Background: Born into a rich family in Japan, she was often expected to become a proper and prestigious woman to rule the house. They lived in a traditional Japanese home. Her parents were often looked up to by the people around and called the most "honest and kind" people.

However, her parents were not as perfect as they seemed. Her father often beat her at night while her mom verbally abused her day and night. Father and mother just told her that she deserved it every time for being born. This started when she was 5. At this time, it was only occasionally punches and slaps but it got more extreme by the day.

The only person that helped her ever was Akito. He was able to save her one day, finding her chained up after 1 week. He took her to his father's home and they decided to have her stay there. She lived there for 1 year until his father sent them to Liseranna so that they could master their magic and get away from their hometown. Before they could leave together, Akito went missing. She searched for 1 month but no luck. She still thinks that her parents had something to do with it but when she went to see them, they denied it and nearly caught her again, causing her to run away before they could.-Not whole story. More in IC.

The shadow weapon is a bit OP, or at least I think so. Being able to destroy just about everything with a touch and without setbacks is a bit odd.

You should add conditions, or something that happens to her when she uses it. Perhaps it consumes mana in order to be used. Perhaps Akio gets tired when using it. Perhaps her thoughts get even darker when she uses it. I dunno. Think up something that makes it a less OP. A setback to justify its power to destroy.

Aside from that, the curse magic she has is pretty good. I like it, honestly. It is also good to see that not everyone has butterflies in their stomach and a sunny disposition for everything.

However, the one with butterflies and rocks for brains, Charlotte, will definitely try being her friend.

Magic:
Contritio/Naturalis (Volcanic Theory) - Complex magic requiring dedication and theory crafting of several years to acheive. It is the combination of destructive magic with water and fire, creating steam and using naturalis magic to compress this steam into a concentrated ball. It takes shape in a light blue ball that is flung and upon contact on a surfaces releases the compressed steam shurken by high pressure in a instant causing the ball to explode.

Contritio/Naturalis (Elemental Twins) - A much more simpler version of Volcanic Theory, it only requires two elements to be combined to create something much more powerful than individual elements. Such as fire and air to create a devestating blaze that is hard to extinguish simply by water due to being fueled by oxygen. Other combinations exist that can be mixed and matched that may provide a multituide of results with varying effectiveness.

Contritio (Volatile Flame) - The simplest form of magic that Antonias can preform, is pyromancy with bigger explosions with his right hand and more accurate flames with his left. He is able to seperate the air to isolate pure oxygen before creating a spark and causing explosions of various sizes depending on which hand.

Strengths:
Naturalis magic is simply resourceful combined with Antonias' creative mind only expands the amount of resources that can be drawn. Outside of simply obtaining additional pylons resources, his magic is particularly destructive due to his more scientific approach with magic. Combining multipule smaller magical spells that can be chained along with each other to create larger, and bigger ones than the initial ingredients used to preform, it is simply science and magic working together to acquire the desired results.

Weaknesses:
Antonias' magic is considered unorthodox at best due to rarity of calculated magic, most magician prefer to point and shoot. Due to the type of magic he preforms, he requires a firm hand and some concentration for using his Volcanic Theory due to him combining multipule ingredients to create something quite volatile. Along with concentration, time is needed as well cause he is often spending a few precious seconds combinding needed spells to create bigger ones, meaning quicker spells are more annoying to deal with.

Catalyst:
Two white gloves which he always wears and carries an extra pair wherever he goes. They are custom made and when the thumb and middle finger are rubbed together, they create a spark. Beside his gloves, he uses a wand to provide as an additional focus just incase which acts as a decoy for his gloves.

A Backpack, Journal, Wallet, Keys, a Phone

Familiar:
A Pet Rock, at best it can be used as a deadly weapon by applying directional force otherwise, its useless.

Pesonality:
Antonias is an outgoing person who likes socializing and is quite an flirt despite his age, and likes drawing people in for fun. He is a flirt but for a sport, it is simply something that he was good that ever since he could remember. His often outgoing nature often confuses him as a student, ontop of his dressing style which further buries him in confusion. The attention he doesn't mind as he finds it amusing to look so young that he would be mistaken for a student.

Backstory:
Antonias was born into a modest family with no particular amazing skill in magic but decent enough to make a living. He too wasn't expected to be amazing either but once he entered the academy... it was like they predicted about him. Their son was normal like them, neither strong nor weak but with balance in the middle with enough room to move around.

As he grew up, he never shown a sharp increase to his skills nor magical abilities, well to be more exact he never displayed them on a full scale. His entrance into the academy was not based on magical abilities but with multiple magical theories that allowed him entrance. He displayed his interest into the arts of both magic and science, hoping to use the two together. Making himself the odd-man out of his years, but never fully prosecuted against by his peers. He never minded the looks that he was given for his strange ideas, for many people agreed that magic and science should be separated but Antonias didn't really care about their feelings. Developing his own custom made catalyst with a few prototypes before coming out with a finished product, he deepened his own unique branch of magic.
