[IC] Lion King: Shah's Pride (Always Accepting)

Cyren dipped his head in greeting to Shah, responding without a verbal sound. He then moved back so that the others could eat, his blue eyes locked on the dead antelope and then, moving to where he had come from. He knew that they had enough...But something felt off in his mind. He didn't know why. Silently, he glanced towards the sky. 'Ancestors, keep us safe.' He thought.

Roura winced as Kisari asked if she'd caught anything. Well, now she had to tell the truth instead of making up for it. She turned back to the other lioness, prepared for a scolding like a cub. It was something Roura's mother didn't tolerate since every meal was the difference between life and death.

"No, I only just woke up a short while ago," She said, looking at her paws. "I'm really sorry and I'll be up in time for the hunt tomorrow."

Ziba giggled and pounced on a beetle, lifting her paws and letting out a disappointed 'aww' as it flew away. She sat down and looked around as her stomach growled. When was her mama supposed to be coming back, she was getting hungry and Ziba think it was a good idea to try and go find her since she couldn't even see over the grass. Another beetle caught her eye and she laughed, chasing after it and swatting at it as it evaded her.

Kisari wasn't all that thrilled to find out Roura had just woken up not too long ago. At least Cyren returned with a fair bit of food, so she decided to let it go this time around. "It's fine this time. Try to be up earlier tomorrow."

Tamara took a minute to look at the scenery. "Yeah. It is."

Shadow walked through the shadows along the edge of the pride lands. He wasn't a member of the pride. He wasn't sure if he wanted to try to join. But he knew that it was one of the bigger more powerful prides. He had good things and bad. He wasn't sure what to think. So he decided to wait and watch. One advantage of his coloring was that it allowed him to watch without being seen easier.

Cheke looked at her. "I was looking for prey when stumbled upon this place." She stood back up and looked around. "There's bound to be something around here." She turned as if getting ready to continue her search for food.

Despite saying she would stay there, Kikatili realized every queen or king needed an heir. She hopped down from her rock and walked to the one watering hole that separated the Pride Lands and her territory. She kept walking when she noticed something really small in the grass. I bet it's an abandoned cub. She thought as she got a closer look at it. It's a newborn. She smiled at this as she knew the mind of a newborn cub could easily be manipulated. She decided to play nice for now. "Hey there, little one." She would return to her pride once she had this cub under her wing.

Shard looked ath Shah, nodding "That's great, I can tell Mkuu to come to you, If I happen to see him" he said gently turning to the brown lioness "Of course you can come, I didn't even wanted to go alone" he smiled at her, then looked back at the leader "Well we are our way now then" he said before planning to leave and begin the patrol with Kisari.

Amber smiled get down and flicked her tail like some happy dog "I am fine, but very bored...soo what are doing? did you got any butterfly to catch?" she asked curiously glancing at the young male cub.

Ziwa was pleased that Kikatili agreed their hunting ideas, she desiced to follow Rook even thought she didn't like to be bossed around like brainless rabbit. When Rook mentioned about the good hunting places, she thinked "If we go to try our luck to their side of the gorge, I don't think they hunt that far away for priderock" she said.

Talli padded back to where most of the pride was located. She noticed Cyren and brought back a large amount of food and she felt a little back that she brought back nothing. She wasn't good at hunting antelope by herself and most everyone know it. She walked up to Cyren and sat beside the male. He seemed tense and was looking toward the sky. "Hello Cyren, nice day today huh?" She said looking at the male with a smile.@Ryouko

Rook nodded at the Ziwa. "Alright then lead the way lead hunteress." He stated stopping for a moment so that he was now following behind her. It was her job to lead the hunts he didn't want to take her spot on this as his job was simply to protect the pride an their territory. He would expand it if he could but unfortunately he knew he wasn't old and strong enough to take on the King of the pridelands just yet. Hopefully he would get there so that he could make Kikatili proud and get a better life for his pride. As the male it was his job to do so, at least that is how he felt. @Pink Madness

Mkuu looked at her. "I was chasing butterflies around" He then sat down in front of her as she asked if caught one. "I tried to catch one earlier, but it flew away."

Shah shook his head at Shard's request. "Thanks for the offer, but I want to be the one to get him." With that, he proceeded to trot down the rock until was in the grass. He walked for a bit until he spotted the brown cub along with one the female cubs(Amber). Once he got closer to them, he began to speak. "I don't mean interrupt your playtime, Mkuu, but it is time for you come eat your breakfast and start your morning lessons."

Mkuu was going to ask if Amber wanted to play chase, but then heard his father's voice. He turned to face the older lion who told him breakfast was here. "Yay, breakfast!" He looked at the female cub. "I guess we'll have to play chase later. See ya, Amber." Withe that he trotted up to Shah and walked beside him. I wonder what type of lessons he has in store for me today.

Ziba grew tried of chasing beetles and looked at the sky. It was starting to get hot and she was really starting to get hungry. She padded to where the tall grass offered some more shade and laid down, resting her head on her paws. She must've dozed off a little because she didn't notice the lioness that appeared in her little clearing.

"Hello," She said with a yawn. "Did my mommy send you? I'm really hungry and tired."



"Yes Kisari," Roura said, relieved that she wasn't in too much trouble.

Roura looked to Shard and nodded, starting to follow him. They could probably catch something small to share while they were on patrol but at the moment she wasn't very hungry.

"Where are we going to start the patrol?" She asked.

Cyren noticed Talli and dipped his head in his own greeting, nodding his head at her when she said it was a nice day. His tense body then loosened up as he moved to face her, head tilted slightly. It was his way of asking how she was doing, or his way of speaking in general. He spoke with his body language, and that was that. He smiled back at her, trying his best to be friendly. He had often tried using his voice when he was alone...it was just that he could never form the words he wanted to say, and so he kept silent to not embarass himself.

Of course, patrolling would be what Shard asked on. It wasn't a bad idea. The pride in the outlands were very few in number and right now didn't seem to be much of a threat, but Kisari knew they were more than likely working on some kind of plan to invade the pridelands. She'll come along too. Perhaps they'll find where the cubs are playing so they can come home and eat.

At the mention of food, Tamara's stomache growled. "Now that you mention it, I am kind of hungry too. I was just walking around when I found this place." She stood up to search for food as well.

Shadow was silent as he moved. He had learned at an early age to be as quiet as possible. He was alittle worried about getting too close to Pride rock. It wasn't likely anyone would see him. But he didn't want to take the risk. He decided he would stay along the edges. That way he could claim that he wasn't sure who's territory he was in. Which was semi true. Packs rarely had solid lines. They were always changing as the pack gained and lost territory.

Kikatili had to keep up the innocent act for a little longer. She looked around to see if she could spot the mother anywhere before turning her attention back to the cub. "Your mommy does seem to be around, little one." She tried to at least look sorry for Ziba even though she really wasn't. "However, I can take you home with me. I can assure there'll be some food for you." She finished, hoping her evil tricks were working on the cub.

Cheke began walking, hoping they would find something to satisfy their hunger. "I wonder if we'll find a warthog or something around here." She kept walking, hoping Tamara would follow.

Talli smiled at the male she was next to. He rarely, if ever spoke. She couldn't remember any time that he said anything. "Yea, it is a pretty good day. You seem well, considering the amount of food you hauled back." She looked at the food that she wasn't going to eat any of it since she had already hunted her fill. "Might have brought back a little to much." She added chuckling. She stretched and laid down in the grass next to him.

Cyren then looked at her on the grass, before he shrugged softly at her saying he looked as if he was well. He didn't know how he felt right now, if he was being honest with Talli. He then stretched out and popped his back again, before relaxing on the ground,sitting up straight as put a paw onto his face at her saying he might have brought too much food.

Cyren might have, but he wasn't exactly sure of how much everyone would eat each day. As he brought his paw back down, he glanced at her again before giving her a smile and gesturing towards the food. 'I hope she actually..had enough to eat.' He thought softly, his gesture meaning that he didn't know if she wanted some or not.

Shard looked at the Kisari "I quess you wanted to hunt too, do you have any place you want to go first?" he asked walking forward leaving the priderock behing. @Ninkitty

Amber looked little disappointed when the king taked Mkuu away. She wanted to play, but did have a any friends now, she didn't even know where the other cubs Lubesi and Iris was.

Ziwa taked a little speed and walked past the Rook, making him follow her "Hmm! Tell me Rook, what is your reason to join Kikatili and why you hate pridelanders? Are familiar with them maybe?" she asked curiously. @LostDestiny

Talli shook her head. "I already ate, I am pretty full, thank you though." She was pretty sure he had gestured for her to eat something but sometimes he was hard to understand. He used more body language then words and it was hard to read him at times, but Talli did her best and she seemed right most of the time. She liked being around Cyren, he was easy for her to be around for some reason. She didn't want to upset him by misunderstanding him too often.

Rook watched the female walk ahead of him for a moment before she spoke. He looked at her confused. "Did I ever say I hated the pridelanders?" He asked positive he had not. "Sure I am not particularly fond of how they hoard all the food and good land for themselves but that is just because nobody has challenged them for territory, well, not seriously challenged them. I joined Kikatili's pride because it was in need of members. And there were no males to challenge me. If I had gone to attempt to join the pridelanders I would have been challenged by every male there, all of them thinking I was trying to take the King's place. Which I am not, I don't want that responsibility. I am perfectly happy just making sure my pride is safe to the best of my ability. I don't want the ruler responsibilities. So I guess I joined because I saw a pride that was in need of some help and I was tired of wondering, like I had done my whole life." He trotted up next to her. "Why did you join and why do you hate the Pridlanders, you have a brother in that pride don't you?"

Cyren nodded and smiled, before he laid down in the grass beside her, his body relaxing. He then looked at Talli. Talli had never had any problem with how Cyren was, and he appreciated that. She was easy to generally be around in most situations. He wanted the first words he was able to speak to be directed towards her. As he looked at her, his eyes glancing down for a moment, he opened his mouth to try and speak.

No sound came forth and Cyren shut his mouth again, thankful the fur on his face covered up the red embarassment that spread over his skin. He sheepishly turned his head away in apology to Talli.

Mkuu looked up at his father. "So, where are we going?" He asked as he walked beside him.

Shah smiled down at his son. "Today, we're gonna patrol the borders." He walked over to the borders, staying on his side of the waterhole. He stopped after a bit before looking at his son. "When on patrol, you must always listen to your surroundings." He stood completely still with his ears alert to demonstrate.

Mkuu listened to his father's words and copied him by trying to stay alert and not move. This didn't seem to be as entertaining as playing around to him. He secretly wished to go back to playing with that female cub(Amber).

Talli looked at Cyren and saw his attempt to speak. He seemed embarrassed that he couldn't do it. "It's okay Cyren, you don't have to force yourself to speak. I'm sure one day you will be able to speak but lets not try to rush it. I am fine with the way you are now." The lioness gave him a gentle smile. She would love it if he could actually speak, then she wouldn't have to guess what he was trying to say all the time, but she was in no rush to try to get him to speak. She was confident that he would one day but for now she was fine the way they were now. She was always able to lay in comfortable silence with him, unlike most of the others where if there was a silence it made her nervous and awkward.
