he does want to toy with them. That usually means emotion wise. And that hurts Alec more then just killing her right away....he wants to tear her down emotionally (more so then now) then kill her.

I think the best part of this is that everyone is aware of Alec's attraction for Rhona except him and Rhona XD I think what Axis doesn't realize is that Alec is attracted to Rhona's warm and gentle nature rather than just her looks. (Or at least that's what I think it is about her that Alec likes) don't get me wrong tho. Rhona is freaking hot! I mean come on! Look at her! She's gorgeous! XD

it depends on how everything plays out

every once in awhile though he may have one side or the other fully take over if something triggers it
but once fully equaled out it won't be totally often

it'll be fun for character development :3
