Skyrim: The Life of an Ordinary Person

So I am going to do a playthrough where I play a simple, mundane person who is just trying to survive. I tried this with a bard/wandering merchant today and...well. Failed miserably, killed by a group of bandits just 4 (in game) days into the game. Note I may also play as supernatural creatures (I have a succubus/incubus mod), but ALL my characters I post here will simply be trying to make their way in a harsh world.

I will NOT complete any of the main quest (I have an alternate start mod)
I will not do any sidequests that I deem too dangerous or risky (Normal people would never agree to go delving into a crypt, for instance...unless they are a wizard, anyway).
I WILL fight to defend myself. I will usually travel. And if my character is of the mindset, MAY attack a small group of 1 or 2, POSSIBLY 3 bandits.
My focus will not be combat, most of the time. It depends on the character.
Upon death, my character is dead. Gone. I delete the save files. Hardcore.
I'm using a survival mod that makes me HAVE to drink, eat, and sleep or suffer adverse effects, including death

I'll post the story via screenshots, and a description of what you are seeing. We shall see just what happens. I'll also update my "graveyard." Let's see if you all are interested in this!

I remember seeing a short video series on YT about a Skyrim RP-ish thingy about a guy name Olaf who went from sleeping outside the Whiterun stables to owning Proudspire Mannor with a similiar set of rules.

This should be interesting.

And thus, KITRA, the succubus has been born. A thrall, a pet of a vile wizard, she was subjected to many experiments. She used to be a simple farm girl, until she was kidnapped. And tortured. For weeks on end. And then the necromancer began to experiment, fusing Soul Gems into her blood in an attempt to fuse a Daedra with a human. Unfortunately for Kitra it worked. A succubus now inhabits her body. Every third night her body transforms unwillingly into that of the Succubus. It also takes over when she is in grave danger, close to death.

The Succubus wants just one thing: to feed on anything it can. To drain the life out of them. But Kitra is still in there too. Will she succeed in escaping the Necromancer and living a halfway normal life in the world of Skyrim?

Kitra finally gains the upper hand against her tormentor. The Succubus takes control, enraged at the pain she is having to go through. The old hag is no match for the strength of a vengeful demon. All things considered, that's an aweful lot of blood for having used a SPELL O.o


The journey must go on. The Demon is suppressed as Kitra regains control. Upon exiting the cave, all she was able to harvest is a small amount of food, and a dagger. And, of course, nice shiny robes!



Not even 2 seconds outside of he cave and guess what? Already under attack. We're playing on EXPERT by the way, so I'm not so sure I like this. I mean, bloody hell, don't even give me a second to BREATHE, game. Effing wolves >_>



Well. That kinda went better than expected. Oh lookie, more of his fur-faced friends decided to join. And. Well. Die. Ew. That's a lot of blood. Well, I think I know where our first bit of gold is coming from.



Now we head to whiterun. Still haven't decided a trade to settle on. Merchant? Hunter? Cook? Bard? If someone wants to toss something out there before I reach Whiterun, I'll take that option :)

Ya know. I'm getting the feeling this game is already trying to put an end to the little Succubus, before she can even settle down! Hmmm. Giant Vs. Succubus. Methinks I'd get rekt. So no. It's kinda sad though, he appears to be mourning the loss of his Mammoth :( D:



Ugh. Another thing that wants to eat me. At least this time it's basically a giant ass rat. Still, lookit it. It's fugging UGLY man! It kinda deserves to die >_>

Shhhh. I'm gonna pawn this off as a dragon's finger to the nearest shop.



Turns out I was wrong. I was heading for Windhelm, not whiterun. Oh well, doesn't matter much to me. It has walls, it's safe, and I CAN LIVE A NORMAL LIFE. maybe. Oh hey look! A chocobo! WARK!!!

HEY! On the way upstairs I made a new friend. The act he's named Ghost makes me a little nervous. Meh, man's best friend tho, right? He wouldn't try to rip my throat out in my sleep...right? .......right?!



Somehow the damn thing didn't take a screenshot of the ensuing battle that resulted in me getting this bow. Apparently an imperial courrier was on the way to deliver a message. To me, maybe? Well, the Stormcloaks didn't take too kindly to his um. Intrusion. They **may** have shopped him into tiny little pieces.

But hey, on the bright side, I have a new bow!



WHEW, finally made it to Windhelm. Not being allowed to fast travel sucks. Now I just need to figure out a way to make some damn money. And hopefully not piss off the stormcloaks. They are kinda touchy.

For animation I'm running xp32 maximum skeleton, Victorias High Heel Walk for female PCs and NPCs, lifelike idle animation, new animation for magic casting, hansom idle animation (for males), sit animation, feminine running and dash animation for the female characters (effects both PC and NPCs), more killmoves for all weapon types, Bigger Badder Bears (bears become something to fear with this mod, Christ), pets of Skyrim, better hunting prices, Chocobos mounts and followers (kinda sucks in practice but it's fun to see Chocobos here and there). I'm using Killer Keos Skimpy CBE Armor replacer (don't judge me!), Aerith FFVII clothes and hairstyle for CBBE, Common clothes (overhaul of the regular clothing), Anne NPCs 2.0, Become a Bard and it's expansion Anduniel songbook. Superior Lore-Friendly hair HD textures, enhanced character edit, immersive patrols, Lay Down (a mod that lets you lay anywhere), Banditry-unsafe travel in Skyrim. Superior rock textures, Skyrim School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (this provides a lot of OP spells), High res 4k CBBEE Model, Skyrim flora overhaul, ultimate HD fire effects, Skyrim HD 2k textures, Beauty faces for Females, High Quality Eyes, killable and lootable children, Marriage mod (adds some fun interactions with your spouse in game), the HDT Physics Extension, of course the Script Extender as well, Parmanent legendary bonuses (gives each legendary skill an extra bonus, something I feel should have been done in the game from the start), SkyUI, Enhanced Blood Textures, Scoped bows (this is pretty cool, you can craft scopes for your bows--I hope I survive long enough to be able to make one), immersive weapons, Lilith's sickle (a custom scythe), Insanity's Celtic Katana, Talos Island and Eden AO Retreat (which I've yet to find).

I'm kind of addicted to getting new and cool mods .-.

Yeah...the funny thing is that he had to uninstall all of them just today. His Nexus Mod Manager decided to quit working and crash Skyrim until it was updated - so he had to re-install all of them.

How fun. At least there was a list to go off of instead of doing it one at a time.

Still haven't decided a trade to settle on. Merchant? Hunter? Cook? Bard? If someone wants to toss something out there before I reach Whiterun, I'll take that option :)

Since you're playing a succubus, I'd go for more of a hunter angle, perhaps you could pretend like the demon inside is restless and the extra killings keep it appeased for a length of days.

Yeah that's not a bad idea. Sell the pelts and such for gold. Maybe start to learn a bit of "barding" so she can get free inn rooms. And then hope like hell the third day doesn't pass with her in town because they will treat a succubus like vampires--everyone tries to kill ya.

Well, while we are in Windhelm I REALLY should get some food and something to drink. The problem is, if I don't drink I die. Yet, as you can see, the staple of Skyrim? ALCOHOL. So what, I either thirst to death or become an alcoholic?? (this mod makes you suffer addiction from substances). DAMN you Nords are hard core. Hey, call me a Milk Drinker all you want, least I'm not gonna start hallucinating any time soon.

That said if there's any modes to change fisticuffs to not being neccesarily lethal and you can go to prison for fist-fighting I'd say do that when this character dies and be a hooligan somewhere. Or even a street-level criminal and thug and go about stealing shit and beating up skooma dealers.

Just like, fatigue "death" at least. But then you'd still probably force the guards to come in and kill you. So it'd be best if combined to consider that sort of assault as non-fatal like theft.

At least I think assault is treated as something they'd kill you for. But it's been awhile imo. I got to the point in the game where I killed Alduin and finished the main plot(s) and then went to the play the Witcher series.

Actually, regular assault, as long as you don't KILL the target (so "sheath" your fists to get the target to stop attacking) is treated as something they will normally throw you in jail for. So that IS a thought. I do LIKE the idea of being a criminal, but that would entail me joining the theives guild so that I could fence stolen goods, and with me trying to shy away from bigger quests like that, I'd have to try to find a mod to sell all items, even stolen ones, to vendors. I'm pretty sure there IS one of those though, so it's definitely doable to become a thief

@Dinh AaronMk THere is a console code to allow me to sell stolen goods to any merchant, bypassing the stolen item check. So here we have it. I'mma be a private thief xD THAT will be how my character makes her money >:D
