Sir Godfrey the Pious
" I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion."
-Alexander the Great
Name:Godfrey Balian Van Der Woodsen.
Nickname:Hotspur
Age:29
Gender:Male
Sexuality:Heterosexual
Relationship Status:Widower
Rank:Bastard brother to the King of Seabel, Field Marshal
Title:Sir Godfrey the Pious
Kingdom:Seabel
In Depth Appearance:Godfrey stands at a rather short 5 foot 9 and has a thin, yet slightly muscular physique. His hair is a curly dirty blonde and is often left unkempt and unstyled. His eyes are a pale blue, often sticking out against his regularly dirty or grimy skin. He often has a beard, kept rather short and close to the grain. It is a slightly darker colour than his hair, and could be considered more brown than blonde. He has various scars over his arms, but his most notable scar is a large bear claw scar that traces across his chest.
He can often be seen wearing a tabard bearing the sigil of house Seabel. He dislikes the formalities of high society and it's clothing, and often wears a lighter version of his armour made from leather and cloth when not at an important event.M Y Q U I R K S

- Has a habit of flicking his sword as if to get any liquids off of it, even when there are none on it.
- Uses snuff rather than the traditional pipe or cigarette.
- Believes his right arm to be longer than his left, when it isn't.
- Rolls dice before making any important decision.

- Water
- Potatoes
Fears:

Personality:♦ Loyal ♦ Ignorant ♦ Trustworthy ♦ Bloodthirsty ♦Godfrey is an extremely pious person, to the point of fanatics. He expresses a deep love for his gods and supports the church wholeheartedly, to the point where he sees anyone who refuses to convert to his religion as a heretic who must be destroyed. However, do not get the idea that Godfrey is a religious spoilsport who does not allow fun and lives only for religion. He likes a pint as much as any male in the kingdom, and is extremely partial to a pub game when he gets the chance to play them.
You would expect him to feel snubbed by his lack of a claim to the throne, however Godfrey has a much different opinion on the matters. He sees himself as a much better military tactician than he does a king. He supports the king fully and would never think of traitorous plans.
Godfrey's home is in battle. He knows his men and they know him and as a result they work extremely well as one unit. A skilled swordsman, Godfrey isn't one to get cocky with his abilities and much prefers to just go in for the kill rather than taunt his opponent.D E F I N I N G M Y P A S T
History:Godfrey was born as the bastard son of a king and a whore. While out at war with a tribe of tormenting barbarians, the king's encampment within a village was surrounded, and death seemed inevitable. He, of course, had sex with a random whore and managed to get her pregnant while in the encampment. Luckily enough, reinforcements came and saved the king and his small army from the barbarians.
Godfrey was born months later, with no support from the king or the royal family. His mother proved his existence as a member of the royal family using various letters the king had written to her after the event at the village. However, this evidence was not recognized and was seen as nothing more than propaganda by other nations.
Nevertheless, Godfrey grew up wanting to prove himself as a member of the royal family. He knew no other way to prove himself than to join the military in their latest holy crusade to the unsettled lands. During his service in the military, Godfrey learned more and more about religion from the priests that accompanied the army and became a devout follower. He became renowned for his prodigal abilities with a blade, and eventually managed to even meet the king because of how quickly he was ascending the ranks. He showed the king the letters proving him as a member of the royal family. Of course, the king had very little recollection of that day and could not care less if Godfrey was his son or not, but he did see the militaristic advantage in accepting him into the family.
Godfrey had become somewhat of a legend among the ranks. His leadership skills and masterful swordsmanship earned him respect among just about every troop within the army. The king could obviously use this to garner support for the royal family and himself and accepted Godfrey into the family, but with a few limitations. While he was officially a member of the royal family, Godfrey would still be recognized as a bastard and would not be able to contend for the throne or receive the benefits he would have as a pure blooded son. He received land in the north and a borough to manage from afar and collect tax from.M I S C .

Nickname:"Lee" – It's not so much a nickname so much as what she actually goes by and introduces herself as nowadays.
Age:Twenty-Seven
Gender:Female
Sexuality:Homosexual
Relationship Status:Single
Rank:Captain of the Royal Guard
Title:Lee has no titles nor inheritance – she does, however, go by "Sir".
Kingdom:Seabel
In Depth Appearance:The first thing to notice about Lee is her height. She stands at an impressive 5'11" and surpasses the six foot mark when she wears her low-heeled boots for dress occasions. Boasting a broad-shouldered, well-muscled build she can be quite an imposing figure, especially with the glinting sword(s) that are ever at her side. Scars can be seen on any inch of exposed skin, though the most prominent are the ones on her side and back: long, deliberately painful knife wounds that were done without mercy or reason. She has a hidden tattoo on her backside (from a dare).
Her features are noticeably exotic, with dark brown eyes and long eyelashes. There is nothing ladylike to be found in Lee's form, other than her hair which is usually tied up into a severe style so as not to get in the way while fighting. With short, bitten nails complete with fraying skin and permanently bruised knuckles; chapped lips licked too often and thick brows that narrow expressively; a nose broken twice (and it shows); and, of course, her prominent, almost masculine jawline all contribute to a woman who is manly and can – in certain conditions and low-lighting – be mistaken for a man. Lee does not correct them.M Y Q U I R K S
Habits | Quirks | Oddities– Limps in cold weather from old wounds;
– Plays with daggers and knives to give idle hands something to do;
– Binds her chest;
– Speaks in a formal, deferent style that suggests the common tongue is not her first language;
– Bows instead of curtsies;
– Low voice with masculine intonation;
– Keeps her eyes to the ground when speaking to ladies, noble or otherwise.
Hobbies:– Sailing (and canoeing where applicable);
– Horse-riding;
– Duelling, sparring, and training.
Likes:– Weaponry of all varieties;
– The Ocean, fishing and sailing in general;
– Giving her opponents a handicap;
– Being called "sir" and mistaken for a man;
– Noble ladies with their wide skirts and beautiful hair;
– Deadpan renditions of her war stories (which are seedier than one might think).
Dislikes:– The aches of old wounds;
– Assassinations and subterfuge, given that she finds them dishonourable;
– Dishonourable conduct in duels and warfare;
– Barbarians*;
– Dull blades that haven't been cared for properly;
– Noble children (before they can wield a sword);
– The pain of being tattooed.
*Methinks the lady doth protest too much.
Fears:– Being crippled;
– Bringing shame to the royal family that she serves, unintentional or not;
– Falling in love (and-or catching a disease from a brothel – both are equally terrifying in her eyes).
Personality:♦ Dedicated ♦ Hot-Headed ♦ "Kind" ♦ Subservient ♦Lee's life is worth little, and she would not hesitate even for a moment to give it up in service of the family she serves. To that extent, she seems to be the epitome of 'loyal soldier' – so dedicated to her job that thoughts of it fill her every waking moment. To hell with romance and romanticism; to hell with fantasies of sailing on a boat, getting burnt from the hot sun and eating fish caught with her own two hands; to hell with dreams of finding herself bound to a lady in matrimony. Her captaincy matters more to her.
She thinks.
Her aggression is undeniable. In combat she is ruthless, whether with live blades or training swords, and she never bites her tongue to hold back harsh words – she just says them, unless it's to someone she respects (in which case they can do no wrong). Often she can be seen as heartless, but this isn't quite the case. Though she is strict and unrelenting when someone messes up, she corrects them, if in a harsh manner, because she cares. Lee is gentle with children and animals, and those who she considers like children in how strong they are. Intelligence matters little to her compared with raw strength and the arts of combat.D E F I N I N G M Y P A S T
History:Lee is indebted to the true ruler of Falor, and has been since she was just ten years old. At one point she was a savage found in the woods, apparently parentless and alone in the world save for a knife and a string of caught-and-killed rabbits. That she was discovered by a distant cousin of the royal family just as she was about to succumb to a mortal illness was a turn of good fortune she's never seen the like of since. Given to a family friend who expressed interest in a protege (given his own status as an unmarried bachelor), Lee attempted escape several times over the course of several months until a gentle hand and the promise not to force a dress upon her 'tamed' her.
She still snuck out to hunt rabbits and collect berries.
Her stand-in father was a soldier awarded a small parcel of land on which Lee spent her childhood. He was not so talented in the arts of reading and writing himself and so 'literacy' (other than the very, very basics of how to pretend she could understand squiggles on a page) was pushed to the side in favour of the sword. And the spear. And the bow – though she disliked that last one for many years. Though her parentage was unknown and suspected to be of the various wild barbarians living on the outskirts of civilised society, waiting, she was for the most part accepted.
Connections gave her a role in the royal guard, one which she took with utmost seriously. After all, continued contact with her 'savior' from many years ago cemented her belief that Falor's royal family could do no wrong. She was appointed Captain shortly before the event that led to her supposed betrayal of a country that she served dutifully for most of her teenage years into early adulthood.
Because Lee supported the princess over the prince, as did her benefactor and her 'father'. Following the rightful heir after an agonising decision, she helped to secure Seabel and ensure the current Queen's survival, taking up her previous position as the Captain of the Royal Guard – a riskier and more adrenaline-inducing job than it ever had been, to be sure.M I S C .

Age:
23
Gender:Male
Sexuality:Heterosexual
Relationship Status:Single
Rank:Brother to the King of Seabel
Title:Baron
Kingdom:Seabel
In Depth Appearance:
Edric has very dark brown hair and striking green eyes. He has a light beard (as in the picture, thank you David Tennant). He is 6’ 1” and 160 lbs, making him appear quite slim. He has an athletic build, but he certainly isn’t muscular. He has a long scar reaching from his right shoulder the left part of his hip, across his chest.M Y Q U I R K S
Habits | Quirks | Oddities
Habitual nail biter.
An accent that doesn’t sound quite Seabellian (closer to a Scottish accent)
Constantly doing something with his hands, usually fiddling with his dagger
Dresses simply (albeit formally), despite being at least partially royal
Constantly bouncing his leg

Dislikes:

Close-minded people
Extravagance
Wine
Large groups of people
Fears:

failure
Personality:♦ Witty ♦ Tactless ♦ Intelligent ♦ Naive ♦
Edric tries his hardest to see the best in people. He makes friends quite easily. The bonds he forges with people are quite deep, but he makes no attempt to mask his distaste for people he doesn’t like, namely over-extravagant royalty. Edric cares very much how people see him and loves to make people laugh. He’s developed a sharp wit in order to satisfy the latter desire.
Edric is quite naturally intelligent, a trait exacerbated by his near constant reading. Edric is a problem solver, and he tends to think a bit over idealistically. He has little care for his personal safety, but cares deeply for the safety of those he likes. For unknown reasons, he has developed a crippling fear of the dark and insects. He rarely gets more than six hours of sleep a night due to nightmares involving such things. Altogether, Edric Van Der Woodsen is a naive, yet caring and intelligent, idealist.D E F I N I N G M Y P A S T
History:
Edric Van Der Woodsen is actually the half brother of the King of Seabel. He shares the same father, but was born to an unknown prostitute. As such he was abandoned in an orphanage by his father out of shame. He became a scholar’s apprentice, and showed quite a bit of promise. Unfortunately, the Scholar’s wife accused Edric of coming on to her, and the Scholar discharged him. Now alone in the world with no marketable skills, he joined Seabel’s military. He was an almost unranked infantryman, but showed promise and skill with a sword. A general found his skill to be so great that he promoted him to his personal guard. Far away, in the palace of Seabel, his father admitted to fathering a bastard on his deathbed.
Equipped with the name of her husband’s half brother, the Queen of Seabel tracked him down and had him honorably discharged from the military. She invited him to live at the palace, which he did, much to the protests of the King. Due to the King’s resentment, Edric lived a fairly isolated life in the palace. Though he did form a strong friendship with the Captain of the Guard (assuming that writer is okay with that). Eventually, possibly just to get him out of his hair, the King made Edric a baron and gave him some land to the east of the palace. The Queen still invites Edric to certain Palace functions, much to the King’s chagrinM I S C .

Just wondering on two things regard the Family of Ostwall.
1. From what I've read, the patriarch of is a ruthless warrior. Would it be fair to assume that the rest of the family is or has knowledge of combat/fighting as well?
2. How old is the princess be, or would that be up to the writer? I was hoping to go for an older teenager/ young adult age of maybe 18-20 or so.

I just glanced over, and thought maybe I can help.
For starters, you can remove the fullstop from the [.hr]
I also noticed that you have a couple of codes that are not closed or are in excess in the personality section that is also contributing to the formatting break.
