Edward often wears black polo shirts as to them being real cheap at thrift stores. His pants usually look like they've lost color and sport a couple of tears on them. Expensive wear, or designer clothing isn't really his thing. A newspaper boy's hat is always worn on his head.

Due to his obsession with standing in front of the television at a young age watching Poke sitcoms, he's forced to wear prescription glasses. Things begin to look fuzzy without them. His favorite shoes are Converse, preferably black ones. The white space of the shoes have been drawn on with a sharpie; the sharpie sketching shows a pattern of Pikachu.

Personality: Edward is not shy in the least. He occasionally starts the conversation mainly to the reason being that the awkward silence bothers him. It's hard for Ed to make friends since he doubts himself a lot with thoughts such as, “I wonder if I’m annoying this person. Does this person think I’m lame?” Lying is not something he's proud of so he likes to exaggerate the truth. Doing this, he feels his chances of making a friend are high. He hasn’t really gained many friends throughout his adventure that weren’t pokemon.
Despite his low self-esteem toward others, he does demonstrate strategic knowledge and leadership capabilities. He is willing to support anyone and give a hand where it is due. Ed would mentor a person as he would mentor his pokemon. Since he has not had many friends, he takes the concept of friendship seriously.

Ed is a bright individual. However, he lacks any common sense. He'll believe any little story you tell to him. His darkest secret is that he still has confidence that Santa Claus is real.

Equipment: Two pokeballs, three potions, and a flashlight.

Pokemon Team: The only pokemon that Ed has possession of is an Abra and a Scizor.

Updated Pokemon Team: Abra (Crow), Scizor (Sekare), Oddish (Rhododendron).

History: At the age of 14, Edward received Abra, his first pokemon. He named it Crow and it has been with Ed ever since. It would've been expected that Abra would've evolved by now, but Edward kinda took his time getting into the whole pokemon conquest. It just didn't feel like his time to rise yet.

Time passed on for about a year until Edward decided that he should get started with his journey. Nothing truly exciting happened except doing a few errands around town. His friendship with Crow did increase thus which made the adventure easier.

After some vigorous training, Crow became one of Ed's most powerful pokemon. Ed and Crow undergo rigorous training each day. The kind of training that is slowly making his entire team much more powerful by the month. Crow has yet to evolve, but Ed is waiting for the day he finally does. The abra is almost never concealed in his poke ball, hangs on his trainer's back. The psychic pokemon spends his time sleeping to store power for future battles.

His Scizor was the first pokemon that Edward caught at the age of 15. He proudly called it "Sekare". Viridian Forest was the place of battle. The bug-type was confident he would've scored a victory on Ed, but was surprised by the skilled abra. The battle was intense, but with Crow’s training and Ed’s strategic plays, the Scizor was unable to pull a win.

After noticing its struggle, Edward pitched a pokeball and claimed his first capture. Sekare could arguably be the hardest pokemon that Edward would ever have to train. It seemed like the pokemon had a horrible personality from the start. It was possible Sekare wasn't proud of losing, or probably Scizors are a stubborn species. However, through some quick victories with other trainers, the respect was starting to appear. Sekare considered Ed his way of becoming stronger and becoming unbeatable. After learning his defeat was no lucky chance and Edward was no push-over, he became obedient. Sekare is quicker than Crow.


Edward has the made the decision of heading towards the Toppe Region to further begin his journey. He has lived in Johto for a while and chose it would be best if he came to his home region another time. There have been many challenges Ed has heard about the Toppe Region and he cannot resist the rumors. He acknowledged this might be the best option to put himself out there. He might be low-leveled, but he has a huge heart to take on the many obstacles the region has to give him.

Merlot

Name: Merlot Beaumont

Age: 18

Class: Breeder

Hometown/Region: Kalos

Merlot is a soft and delicate-looking young man, who stands at 5'6", allowing most of his brothers to tower over him. He isn't all that physically powerful, but is capable of acrobatic feats and has an amazing sense of balance. He's not that durable, but he's a speedy runner who goes out running every morning. He's also an incredible swimmer, despite his smaller stature. He can't lift heavy weights, and as a result, often orders his siblings to haul boxes and furniture around for him. Marlot is flexible and agile. His skin is rather pale, and he oddly doesn't burn that easily when exposed to sunlight, even when not wearing sunscreen. He has a rather healthy complexion, with the exception of some scars he's obtained from being scratched by his father's temperamental Zigzagoon. He has refined and elegant hands, which are dexterous from years of handling musical instruments. His nails are always perfectly manicured and taken care of. Merlot takes great care of his appearance and can't stand the thought of looking unkempt.

He has a gentle and delicate-looking jawline, with a softly curved nose. He is quite often mistaken for being female, which he isn't all that frustrated about. His eyes are wide, blue, and they're framed by long, luscious eyelashes. He has elegant, arching eyebrows that he takes great care of. His lips are on the thinner side, but they're soft and smooth. Merlot has thick, soft pink hair, which he keeps rather long, down to his shoulders. He takes an immense amount of care in making sure he appears tidy. He dislikes those who don't put effort into looking presentable and will often refuse to even socialize with them. Merlot often makes a wide range of various expressions due to his volatile nature. When he's upset, everyone will know he's upset. But everyone will also know when he's happy as well. He doesn't tend to hide his true emotions away and is a very expressive person. Perhaps he's a bit too expressive.

Personality: Always demanding of others. Merlot is a refined, but easily-angered individual. He has refined tastes, but often can get frustrated with others. His temper can tend to depend on who he's talking to. He doesn't lose it around shy and meek individuals. But he can tend to become aggravated with those who are incredibly hyperactive and won't stop talking. He is someone who prefers a peaceful and calm atmosphere, and he's not particularly fond of large crowds either. He is actually quite arrogant, referring to himself as "we", which is how old royals within Kalos used to refer to themselves. He's always confident within his opinions and his choices, and he's always willing to argue in order to defend them. He's an educated person, who always looks into important matters before he forms an opinion on them, because he absolutely despises being wrong. Despite his temper, Merlot is rather generous and donates a significant portion of his earnings to charities and foundations that are trying to set up new schools.

Merlot is someone who values knowledge, and believes that every child should always have the opportunity to learn and to grow. Money should not make a difference, and he hates the fact that some children do not have the same opportunities as others just because they don't have as much money. Merlot tends to like people who lead or act on their own rather than people who follow mindlessly. He recognizes independent thinking and individualism. He also values those who work past poor living conditions in order to become incredibly wealthy or powerful. Hard workers get far in life, and he knows this. Merlot is someone who never feels envy for others, even if they're wealthier. He's incredibly confident in himself and wouldn't change anything about himself. Merlot is incredibly intelligent and cunning. He's a talented strategist who is always willing to use underhanded tactics to win or to get what he wants. He relies on forceful and aggressive strategies rather than defensive ones, and is always looking for opportunities to get the upper hand.

Merlot does not hold his tongue. He speaks whenever he deems it necessary, which is very often. He has no problem with demeaning others and pointing out their flaws. He tends to think logically, rather than relying on ideals and dreams. He knows that he can always rely on facts and that they will never steer him wrong. Yet, he isn't in absolute control of his emotions most of the time, because he's short-tempered. He dislikes his own temper and routinely tries to fix it. He is constantly working towards bettering himself and hates it whenever he makes the same mistake over and over again. He hates, hates, hates being wrong and may not even admit it when he's wrong, because his pride can overwhelm his sense of reason. He hates acknowledging that he has flaws and that he's capable of making mistales. But he'll always end up eventually acknowledging it when he makes a mistake. He will always apologize to whoever he's hurt or offended, but can become frustrated if they don't accept his apology.

Equipment: Two Great Balls, four super potions

Pokemon Team: Furfrou, Sliggoo

History: Merlot was born the first son to his wealthy parents. His father was a rich company owner, and his mother was the daughter of his family's business ally. He never really got to know his mother, because she died soon after giving birth to him. He would routinely be told that she was a beautiful and graceful woman, who loved flowers. After her death, Merlot's father buried himself in his work, but remarried only a few months later. Merlot's stepmother would give birth to male twins. Growing up, Merlot was educated in everything from fine arts and literature, to pokemon breeding. He was a dedicated child who obtained his father's arrogance and his mother's sharpness. Never would he skip a lesson, and he was also a quick learner, allowing him to pick up information with great ease. He became a chess expert at a young age, and even managed to beat one of the most accomplished players in Kalos. He grew up alongside the Furfrou that had belonged to his mother.

As the oldest son, he was expected to take over and maintain the company, which was a duty he accepted with great eagerness. Merlot learned business tactics and how to socialize, and he became his father's top priority. As time flew by, Merlot became more and more interested in pokemon breeding. His father eventually got over his mother's death, paying more attention to him and his other sons. Eventually, Marlot realized that he may want to become a pokemon breeder. Pokemon interested him greatly, and he became even more invested after learning that his mother was also a pokemon breeder. Not wanting to hurt his father in any way, Marlot continued his education. Taking over the company would be his destiny. But he more he thought about it, the less he wanted to do it. Marlot became troubled by his own mind, and after a year of bottling up his feelings, he confessed to his father.

His father reacted positively, which was incredibly fortunate. Merlot was told that he could become a pokemon breeder, which would make sense, as the company specialized in ranching equipment and such. Eventually, Merlot received his starter pokemon, the son of his mother's Furfrou, who he named Bellamy. Alongside Bellamy, he packed his bags and headed out into the Kalos wilds after learning how to handle camping equipment, alongside everything else he'd need to go on a pokemon journey. He eventually caught a Goomy, but he didn't get very far, before heading back and telling his father that he wished to go to another region on his journey. After that, he headed to the Toppe Region in hopes of making a new life for himself.

Goal: Becoming a famous breeder

Name: Trinity Allaire

Age: Seventeen

Class: Uncertain

Hometown/Region: Johto

Appearance:

Trinity has a habbit of wearing various different things every day, whether it be a simple dress, or jeans and shirt, to a pair or gym short and a tshirt, even a skirt and a nice button up shirt. Never staying plain she enjoys changing things up a bit. The one problem is, her backpack doesn't have the room for every outfit, so she normally has two to three different ones and trades them out at the next town so that she can keep wearing new things.

Personality: (Will be filled out after it's established IC)

Equipment: Three Pokeballs, A potion, and Four Oran Berries

Pokemon Team: Cyndaquil, Eevee, and oh Eevee!

History: Born in the Johto region on her parents farm Trinity grew up around pokemon, after all, her father was a breeder. So early on Trinity learned how to take care of pokemon, and she loved them all dearly. It wasn't until her thirteenth birthday that she was given her first true responsibility. It wasn't a pokemon she was given, but rather it was an egg. Her father didn't tell her what pokemon would hatch from the egg though, he wanted that to be a surprise, and was definitely a good definition for what happened.

Trinity's first pokemon ever was a Cyndaquil that she had take care of since before it was born, which helped them bond immensely. She quickly named the Cyndaquil Sabrina after her old best friend who had moved to the Hoen region a few years back. After this Trinity didn't leave her parents farm just yet. No she stayed there for a few more years helping out until she decided that she finally wanted to go exploring other places. Upon declaring this her father simply smiled, left the room, and returned with two eggs. He simply said that when they hatched, she could leave. It was her final present from her father, and a last test.

So until she could leave Trinity spent day and night with Sabrina and the two eggs taking care of them. Eventually the two eggs hatched at the same time and Trinity was presented with two Eevees. She couldn't believe her father actually allowed her to have these two eggs though. She hadn't realized he would give her the potential to train two Eevees this early on and she couldn't help but cry a bit in joy at the sight of the Eevees which she quickly hugged and named Dusk and Dawn. She found it fitting for two pokemon born at the same time, but had the potential to be complete opposites.

A few days later Trinity and her pokemon had left the Johto region and headed off to the Toppe region, with just a couple of months till her birthday, it was an exciting time.

Goal: To explore and meet new people, as well as find out what she might want to do with her life.

Name: Vince Giamatti

Age: 17

Personality: Will act out.

Equipment: In his hiking pack-a tent, sleeping bag, six pokeballs, spare clothes, five potions, water bladder, a small camp stove, thermos, matches, small pot, small pan, flashlight, few pairs of utensils

Pokemon Team: Combusken, Beldum

History: Paul Giammati is something of a celebrity. When he was thirteen he won a national rookie tournament within Hoenn and within the span of three years, he won three more national tournaments in Kalos, Johto, and Sinnoh after taking down their gym leaders on his own journey to become the best trainer. It's easy to believe that he's a prodigy, but that simply isn't the case. Each journey he took threw new adversities at him, forcing him to adapt to everything in order to survive whether it was surviving alone in the icy peaks of Mt. Coronet, in the long winding desserts of Hoene and Kalos, and of course, the variety of trainers that he had faced on a daily basis.

However it is these adversities that give him reason to go on the journeys in the first place. He doesn't have any deep meaning for his travels and challenges. He wasn't trying to become famous nor was he trying to do something dramatic like becoming an Elite Four champion in honor of a deceased father. To be frank, his family is extremely typical and plain that he really does wonder if he is related to them. For him, it's just the thrill of conquering something amazing that gives reason to his actions. This is the reason why he has traveled to the Toppe region. It is another place to climb and conquer for him.

It was probably due to how boring everything was in his family life that had drove him to this kind of interest. His family is very nice and caring, but they could be considered the most boring, drab people that could've ever been conjured up. His dad is an accountant with no sense of adventure or any hobbies worth noting and his mom used to work as a banker before becoming a housewife. His older brother played it safe and went to college and now has a boring desk job. Vince, wanting to get away from them, went out on his journey and is now rarely ever home.

Goal: To battle with the strongest

Other: Due to his previous journeys that had him carrying plenty of equipment to survive his journeys, he is very fit and strong.

Name: Xanthia Flare Evergreen
Age: 17

Class: Trainer

Hometown/Region: Unova

Appearance

Xanthia tends to wear simple red t-shirts and black jeans. She also has a set of combat boots she keeps her pants tucked into. If she is cold, she will pull on a faded grey hoodie or a green windbreaker. She often keeps her hair tied back in a braid to keep it out of her face.
She tends to favor functionality over style, and doesn't really care too much about appearance as long as she is comfortable.

Personality: Xanthia is something of a tomboy and tends to punch people when she decides she likes them. As a tomboy, she prefers the company of men to women, because she likes the same things as men do. She will become irritated if she meets someone who is too girly. She has a very snarky, sarcastic way of speaking to others and can often cause trouble saying things she probably shouldn't say.

Equipment: A simple military styled backpack with a sleeping bag tied to the top. Jammed inside the backpack is an assortment of survival supplies. These supplies include, two dusk balls, one pokeball, a fire starter, a trowel, water bottle, small flashlight complete with batteries, MRE's, a small pot, a multitool, extra clothes, a small bottle of Tincture of Iodine 2%, a windbreaker, and a hunting knife.

Pokemon Team: Gengar, Magnemite, egg (to be togepi).

History: When Xanthia was six, she discovered her mother had once been a member of Unova's pokemon league. Xanthia became furious of her mother's decision to abandon the league to raise her instead. From here, Xanthia vowed to become the pokemon league champion and surpass her mother.

When she turned eight, Xanthia's mother gifted Xanthia her first pokemon. She'd been secretly training a Gastly she'd nicknamed Anubis, giving Xanthia a little head start by evolving it into a haunter. However, her mother did not think to account for the fact the haunter would evolve. As soon as Xanthia grasped the pokeball, her new starter pokemon became Gengar. This lead to some serious issues, as the Gengar did not want to obey the young and inexperienced Xanthia, refusing to return to his pokeball. As she went to trainer school, Xanthia got in trouble frequently for Anubis pranking teachers and students. So she kept her head down and studied as hard as she could to prove herself.

When she turned thirteen, she decided she'd had enough with her pesky Gengar and tried to sell him or trade him away on the internet. While she searched the internet, she used her hard earned money to order a Magnemite, because she planned on replacing her Gengar. However, when the magnemite finally came, it was extremely sickly and weak. Within a few days of its arrival, the Magnemite had died. This made Xanthia very upset, as she'd only known the creature for a few days and she'd not even managed to name it yet.

Hating to see her daughter so upset, Xanthia's mother contacted the company her daughter had bought the Magnemite from and bullied them into sending a new magnemite. Needless to say, Xanthia was overjoyed when her new pokemon came in the mail, this one was healthy and in good condition. Her mother had secretly paid a little extra to the company to get a better quality pokemon for her daughter. Xanthia nicknamed this new magnemite Beep. From here on, Xanthia kept trying multiple ways of getting rid of Anubis, however, the creature and his pokeball always managed to find their way back to her. Until Xanthia finally gave up with trying to get rid of Anubis to his glee. In the meantime, her new Magnemite Beep was proving to be another challenge entirely. As she got to know Beep, she learned she had no idea how to tell its emotions. Every time it wanted something it would send bursts of electricity arcing through her body until she figured out what exactly Beep wanted. Not wanting to get electrocuted anymore, Xanthia spent most of the free time she had studying the subtle body movments of her Magnemite. From this she learned how to tell its emotions, which lead to her being electrocuted less and less, until the Magnemite ceased electrocuting her completely. For some reason, Anubis and Beep seemed to ignore each other's existence completely. Since Xanthia spent so long trying to understand her pokemon, she spent little to no time training either of them to fight in actual battles. Not that she could even dream of trying to train that pesky gengar of hers.

Xanthia finally graduated trainers school at the age of fifteen. She was one of the highest scoring test takers in her class, and impressed most of the faculty with her ingenuity. Now if only she could get control of that Gengar.

As a graduation present, her mother had one of her friends give her an egg. She then gave this egg to Xanthia, informing her on egg care, and telling her what to do when the creature hatched. For some reason, Anubis seemed unhealthily interested in the egg, even going so far as to take it from Xanthia and hiding it under her bed. After being mad the first few times, Xanthia realized Anubis was actually being protective of the egg, not trying to break it. So she allowed the ghost pokemon to care for the egg, because it kept him out of her hair, at least for a little while.

When she was deciding what region to explore, her mother casually mentioned Toppe. Hearing that their gym leaders were considered extremely strong, Xanthia made her choice and decided to start her journey here. Intrigued by the idea of becoming the league champion of a challenging region, she sent in her trainer application to be processed. She was overjoyed when her application was accepted and she was allowed passage into the other region. Since her mother had been on a journey before, she took her mother's advice and packed everything her mother had written on a list.

As soon as her seventeenth birthday came around, Xanthia said goodbye to her mother, heading off with two pokemon and one egg. All it took was a single 14 hour plane ride. A plane ride with Anubis causing as much chaos as possible.. thankfully one of the other passengers had a mightyena, and ended up sending out the creature to repeatedly use odor sleuth and keep her Gengar in check. Still.. the fact Anubis STILL wouldn't listen to her was downright embarrassing.
