Personality
Elizabeth is a fierce girl, determined and thinks logically, especially when it comes to her academics. She will pursue her interests and goals with intense desire, but never recklessly, always thinking about her actions deeply before acting when there is time, and reflecting on her actions later when there isn't time to think before acting. When it comes to interacting with other students however, it's not so simple for her. Elizabeth doesn't make friends easily, not quite feeling comfortable opening up, and not just about being transgender. This is due to the fact that she was bullied a lot even before she started dressing as a girl (back when she went to muggle school), mostly because it wasn't in her nature to fight back, and it had a lasting impact on her, leaving her with a very cautious approach to making friends. But once she does open up to people, it is an indicator that she trusts them, and will be calm and talk to them. And if anyone does become her friend, she becomes protective and she will defend her friends with her life if it came to it. She will try to find justice for anyone who is wronged in the school, often trying to help the teachers find the culprit if any of the most important rules are broken.
Unfortunately, as with most transgender individuals, Elizabeth has a darker side where she will deal with depression from time to time. This depression is often reference to as dysphoria, and is caused by her having the wrong genitals. And even though she is currently receiving hormone replacement therapy, which is helping her fend off the Dysphoria, it doesn't prevent it from surfacing from time to time. During these moments of Dysphoria, she will grow withdrawn and actively try to get alone time, during which she may break down and there is little that even her friends can do but let her depression run its course... Except bring her copious amounts of chocolate.
History: Elizabeth Louise Warren was born Alexander Marcus Warren, to Adam And Beth-Ann Warren, God-Father Carl Richards. Both her father and God-Father graduated from the Salem Witches' Institute, Warren and Good house respectively, both near the top of their class. She went to live with her God-Father and his husband, Hadrian Cooper, after her parents died in a car crash when she only a year and a half old. She never got the chance to get to know her parents, and she regrets the fact that she never got to meet them. She's heard a decent bit about her father, how he was an Auror and his somewhat impressive service record, and she'd heard some things about her mother, how she was a squib and a muggle doctor. And while she suspects they would have been fine with her being transgender, she's glad that she got the chance to be with Papa Carl and Papa Hadrian.
As she grew up, as Alexander, she always felt different and always talked about wanting to be a mother. Eventually Carl Richards told Elizabeth that she couldn't be a mother, not as Alexander, and told her why. When she asked if there was a way to become a mother, they realised she might be serious. They went and started doing research that evening after she went to bed. They knew what it was like to be on the receiving end of discrimination and hate, and that made them all the more determined to understand what was going on with their young ward. Carl and his husband talked things over and agreed that when she turned ten they would make the offer, and the decision that if it was what she wanted, that they would support her, but only once she was better able to understand what she was asking.
When she turned ten, they did ask her about her desire to transition again, and she gave the same answer. Upon talking it over with her, they offered to move, to give her a fresh start, go to a new school as a girl. She immediately ran over to them and hugged them, crying tears of joy, and thanking them profusely. They made their preparations and moved to give her a fresh start, one where she could present as a girl. Having already found a therapist for her, they immediately began taking her to therapy, someone they had heard was highly recommended, who went by the name Vincent, who prescribed anti-androgen pills fairly quickly, which were made and boosted by their apothecary friend's magic. The anti-androgen pills prevented the start of her male puberty.
It was next year on her 11th birthday that she received a letter from the Headmistress of the Salem Witches Institute, but addressed to Alexander. Confused, they asked what had happened that would catch their attention, because Elizabeth never had used any accidental magic around them. She said that occasionally small things would happen at school, but only when she was around. Things like papers randomly starting to fly around the room, even without a breeze. Carl quickly sent a letter to the Headmistress to explain Elizabeth's situation, glad it was someone he had known very well while he had gone to the school. The Headmistress promptly replied, clearly having remembered him, with a corrected acceptance letter and a guarantee that the young witch would be watched after and allowed to be herself. It wasn't until Yule break of her second year that she was approved for Estrogen Therapy, allowing her to develop more feminine characteristics, which she was ecstatic about. Elizabeth was concerned for the longest time with how Carl and Hadrian had been able to afford both therapy and the hormone therapy. Then Carl and Hadrian told her about how much money was entrusted to them and was saved up for her, enough for her to be comfortable through school and fortunately enough for HRT.
It is actually her Papa Hadrian's fault that Elizabeth wants to become an Auror when she graduates, according to Papa Carl. Ever since she heard the story of how Hadrian had returned to Hogwarts to fought alongside the student and teachers and the Boy-who-lived himself. Though Hadrian blames Carl over her desire to become an Auror, as Carl is the one who told her that her father had been one, and an excellent one at that. But either way she had become braver, more determined to see things through. And she had developed a strong passion for justice, but doesn't really find justice in punishment for small stupid offences.
Family: Elizabeth never knew much about her blood parents, only what Carl and Hadrian would tell her about her father. Some of the stories of their glory days back at Salem. Quidditch in particular. How he was an Auror. They never knew much about Elizabeth's mother, other than she was a Doctor.
Carl Richards, 37, Graduate of Salem Witches Institute, Good House. A Chaser for the Good team back in his day, Carl was skilled at charm magic as well as a skilled Herbologist. And was probably most remembered for bringing his boyfriend to the Yule ball one year.
Hadrian Cooper, 40 Graduate of Hogwarts, Hufflepuff House. Hadrian was a seeker in his days at Hogwarts, and a highly regarded by his teachers, especially his Care for Magical Creatures class. Hadrian was involved in the Battle of Hogwarts and was responsible for killing several Death Eaters.
Extra info: For Quidditch she uses her 2010 Firebolt Mark Two.
