@AmongHeroes When two O-blades connect is it a 'don't cross the streams' scenario where both weapons fail catastrophically, or are we going by lightsaber rules? (They cut everything -but- each other)

Also, as I feel it's better to get these sort of things out in the open; I do have some concerns after reading @TK421's application. Is this going to be the sort of roleplay where characters can dual wield katanas and cut bullets out of the air?

I felt the same way honestly... feels like my character in terms of personality just much more powerful. I think it's the badass armor more than anything

Appearance -

Scars of a misspent youth have found a permanent home across Ortiz's body. Black ink presents itself loudly against his olive skin as skulls and murals of long lost friends gather like a mausoleum that hangs below the intimidating recreation of a dogs open maw.
As is commonplace in the military Ortiz is a heavy smoker. From two hidden pores smoke seemingly wisps from the mouth imprinted on his neck giving him the little known moniker of Hell-hound in his earlier years. In a very practical sense these pores are an active filtration systems that allow Ortiz to avoid the damaging chemicals he breaths in from reaching his lungs, he uses this as an excuse to smoke anything and everything that happens to cross his path.

Scars of a very real kind can be seen across his abdomen, collateral damage from the explosions that took both his arms. His left is almost entirely reconstructed utilizing two metal bars in place of bone. His right forearm was similarly cut clean off, however much more advanced robotics were implemented not only replacing his fleshy appendage but improving upon it.

Close quarters combat - Utilizing his two bespoke built handguns Ortiz is a very dangerous man in enclosed spaces. Keeping up to date with the latest optic, olfactory and cochlear nerve implants means Ortiz has a reaction speed so developed that he is capable of clearing rooms of multiple assailants before they even realize his presence.

Stealth specialist - Having grown up in the slums Ortiz has squeezed his way through many an opening to get where he is going or to escape from whom might be chasing him. His affinity for stealing property flourished as a child and his natural instincts of how to stay hidden have not waned since. He is the go-to man when covert sabotage is required.

O-blades won't cut each other, so I suppose you can think of them like lightsabers.

For your second question, first let me say thank you for bringing up a concern you have right away. This RP isn't going to have any katanas slicing bullets out of the air, or the like. I already have spoken with @TK421, and expressed the inherent limitation of having a character based around a pair of bladed weapons in this universe. There won't be any special accommodations made IC where such a loadout is more applicable than, say, a pistol. I liked aspects of the character however, and so I allowed it. Sometimes people can play characters well, even in strange circumstances, and I like to give that chance. If issues arise with the cohesion of the story because of anyone's character being out of sync, I'll be sure to address it.

You are so sweet! Thank you! As you said, work has been busy with Valentines and Presidents Day (you'd think that if people got the day off they'd stay home, relax, and enjoy themselves, but nope!) so I will most likely not have a sheet until tomorrow.

With the IC fast approaching I figured I'd throw up some incidentals on Vulma for any interested parties. Feel free to veto any of them @AmongHeroes

Misc

◤ Vulma is not a 'brain in a jar' style cyborg, even though there wouldn't be enough of her to fill a trash bag without those prosthetics.
Like the only good scene from this movie. As such she requires a quarter ration of food and water when deployed, consolidated in a tube of grayish toothpaste like material. Ingesting anything else is problematic.

◤ Her high performance body does not exceed the capabilities of the other 7-5, as all its members are in some way enhanced. Like her peers it has its strengths and weaknesses. She does however fatigue at a much reduced rate comparatively. Likewise, apart from perhaps a skinned knee here and there, it's no more resistant to harm.

◤ In deployment she's a bit of a workhorse, her long slog through the ranks molding her into the sort of soldier that's comfortable following another's lead. Though a wizard with an O-blade she only draws when its tactically sound--which is rarely. You'll never see her abandon cover or rush a position when a bullet could do the job better.

◤ It's not the sort of thing she'd boast about or bring up, but when people tell her they were raised in a slum it's like telling a child soldier you were in the reserves. They're not the same, it's not common ground and no, you don't know what it was like for her.

◤ She's an iron patriot. In her own words "I owe the army my life twice over now, by my count debt's only half paid."

◤ She will and does bet on just about anything and though she keeps tabs on what each member of the 7-5 owes her she makes it a point not to collect. "Never let money come between family I say."

◤ Considers herself the 7-5's unofficial morale officer.
