"People often think that we humans get the short straw when dealing with Ghouls. Trust me, that's not the case. Hm... guess it's no longer 'we', huh?"
Name: Ayakishi Isori, at least officially. She prefers to be called 'Suzu'.
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Height & Weight: 1.60 meters. 55 kilograms.
Sexuality: Straight, for the most part anyways.
CCG Rating: S
CCG Title: Plague
Mask: Kagune: Unlike most Ukaku's, Isori's kagune manifests as a spiral that spreads all across her right arm. While it is not harmful to her, it certainly is for her opponents.
Having it spread across her arm can make it a great melee weapon, and can also help her aim better when using it at a distance. The special characteristic of this kagune, however, is how Isori can release RC cells into the atmosphere and fill a single place with them.
As it should be expected, these floating RC cells can be extremely deadly. Her kagune is one of the few that can act as sensors, and the RC Cells immedietly crystallize once someone enters their effective range. As the RC cells adhere to someone's body, they slowly rob the person of their mobility, to the point where they eventually are just a sitting duck, waiting to be consumed by the Ghoul.
Of course, if one were to inhale these RC cells, and if they are human, they would most certainly die. Another Ghoul would have trouble breathing, have fits of coughing and perhaps be incapacitated for a while due to their being unable to breath. All of these effects also apply to Isori herself, though her resistance is better than any other's.
As most would expect, this is not the full extent of her Kagune, but it is the best she can pull out without losing control of herself, and her appetite. Whenever she does lose control of herself, another wing like kagune sprouts from her other shoulder blade. Having both kagune out tires her out immensely, however, and her urge to feed after using these becomes almost unbearable.
RC Type: Ukaku
Special Quirk: One Eyed Ghoul
Originally a human, Suzu was subject to a expirement that would change her life forever.
She was abducted, sedated and then experimented on. She had always had a high RC cell factor, despite not being a ghoul, which made her perfect for an experiment. Without any real papers, or identity, to talk about, it would be easier to perform an experiment on an orphan like this. Nobody would complain.
The experiment was a success, and she was given the name Ayakishi Isori. From that day onwards, Isori became a One eyed Ghoul. She remains ignorant on what Ghoul was used to transplant their organs into herself, but she believes it was a fairly powerful one.
Personality: While cheerful and amicable, Isori also has no qualms whatsoever over what it means to be a Ghoul. She was raised by one, so she doesn't really see anything bad about feeding off humans, oddly enough.
This kind of open-mindness helped her a lot during her early days as a One Eyed Ghoul.
She wasn't as afraid as some other people to eat a human, though she does have some qualms about killing humans, as long as she thinks they've done nothing wrong.
Isori can also be quite airheaded and some times dreamy, completely unfitting for someone like her, if you ask most. She likes video games but is not completely addicted to them like some, ehem, others.
She likes to think of herself as motherly and more often than not the peacemaker AND the one to bring in common sense to a conversation or other when things start getting too gory. Basically, a ghoul straight man, well, woman.
Backstory: She doesn't remember much from when she was a kid.
She was left in the streets, with nothing but a necklace that read 'Suzu' in romaji. She made friends with some other kids and an old man took them in. That's as far as she remembers her first childhood days.
Afterwards, and when she was taken to the old man's house, her memories become a little more vivid.
She was a human among ghouls, that much was certain. However, not being raised by human parents made her lack the common fear they shared for the cannibals.
The old man and the others didn't make much of an effort to hide the fact that they ate human meat either, at least not in the house. The old man did tell her that killing was bad, though, so she didn't grow to be completely amoral.
She went to school like everybody else. She was planning on becoming an enforcer of Ghoul rights. As she grew, she obviously saw that most Ghouls were killed without a real explenation, other than eating people. But they couldn't help it. That was who they were. Who they would always be.
Suzu found it sad. To be killed just because of who you are. She thought it was about time for someone to take a stand and stop the Doves from senselessly killing Ghouls. Yes, there were some that were completely feral and killed for sport, but there were also those that weren't.
Stereotyping them like such was wrong, so Suzu thought.
It wasn't long before the old man himself was killed by the doves he tried to protect the children from.
Despite not wanting to see those she saw as brothers and sisters go, finally, she had no option but to let them go. And go herself as well.
While she tried to relocate from ward 5 to ward 10 to lead a more human-like life, she didn't know that she was already in the sights of someone. Someone that she didn't want to attract the attention of.
While she continued to attend high school like any other girl her age, making friends and perhaps even some enemies, one or two boyfriends here and there, she would constantly feel... observed.
A set of eyes was always stuck to her back, and it wasn't as if it were an stalker. It was way more terrifying than that. It's sole presence sent a chill down Suzu's spine. Each week, each day, each hour, it became more intense. Frankly, Suzu was frightened. Though she constantly asked her current friends and even tried to get a hold on those she called her siblings long ago.
It was hard to get in touch with them, though. She thought that perhaps having Ghouls help her would shoo whoever was stalking her away.
Sadly for her, that wouldn't have been the case even if she had gotten ahold of them, for they were planning to do something with her that by far surpassed any kind of fear a Ghoul could strike in any one person.
She went to sleep one night. What followed are like her memories of when she was a child, abandoned and with nowhere else to go. Blurry, mysterious, terrifying.
She could hear the sound of her own muffled screams, she could see a scalped being pulled up, some strings of flesh still hanging from it, she could feel her very innards being pulled from out of her stomach and how she could only watch in horror.
The next time she woke up, she was looking at an unfamiliar rooftop. She turned to her side and saw one of her high school friends beside her, tears in her eyes and she threw herself at Isori. Wait... did she know this woman? At all?
A man came in to her room after that. Tall, attractive. Looked like a model. He told her that he was her boyfriend. Again, it didn't seem to ring any bells.
After that, the doctor came in. He explained the situation to her. He told her that her memories might be a bit blurry, but he told her everything in order.
Her name was Ayashiki Isori. She lived with her parents in a normal house, lead a normal high schooler life, had a boyfriend and several friends in her high school, but a week before, she and her family had been attacked by a Ghoul. The Ghoul fed on both of her parents and was halfway through Isori's own body when the doves arrived and saved her.
Her condition, however, was extremely bad. She was missing several organs, organs they had to replace. The shock rendered her unconscious for a week, which was in and of itself quite surprising, since most doctors theorized she wouldn't wake up for months.
After that, she went through a period of rehab. The staff was astonished at the pace in which she was recovering. A pair of weeks later, she was discharged from the hospital.
When she arrived to her 'home', however, she felt it was all too foreign to her. Nothing seemed to be in place. The doctor had warned her, however, that a side effect of the trauma she suffered would be memory loss. She might not remember people or places that were dear to her, in an effort to block away the attack by the Ghoul that night.
Isori didn't think much of it, truthfully. Still, the notice of her dead parents... hadn't affected her at all. Most would be devastated, but she felt nothing. She felt even less for the places that were, supposedly, 'dear' to her.
In any case, she decided to fix herself something to eat. When she tried the salad and pasta she had prepared for herself, however... it was horrible. Foul tasting. It was so repulsive that she couldn't help but vomit it back out.
What had happened? For as long as she knew, she was able to eat things like these. Even in the hospital, they gave her meat and she could eat it without a problem. Then why couldn't she eat this?
She tried something else. Meat, like the one they gave her in the hospital. The same.
Perhaps bread? No, that also came right back out. Potato chips? Down the toilet a few seconds after eating them. Ice cream? She wouldn't even dare go near the thing at this point.
What had happened? The doctor hadn't mentioned a side effect like this. No... it was probably more sinister.
Vomitting things that would otherwise be eaten easily... where had she heard, no,
seen, that before? It was... it was....
It finally clicked inside her mind. The memories that had seemingly disappeared resurfaced after experiencing something her siblings did that same day they were picked up. Vomit the perfectly delicious meat they had been offered.
She was... a ghoul? But how? She was a human until just recently.... thoughts like devolved into heavy migraines, and each time a migrane hit her, a single thought stuck in her head.
Hungry. Kill. Eat. Was that how they felt when they got hungry? This... insatiable hunger for violence? She turned to see herself in the mirror, and saw herself with a twisted smile, and a kakugan in her right eye.
She jumped back and looked at her reflection again. An scared human girl with two perfectly normal blue eyes.
Perhaps she should go feed like the others did? Find someone who had committed suicide recently. They wouldn't mind becoming food, right? Perhaps they would even be happy that their life was worth something in the ened.
So, she set out. She looked up and down for anyone that might have killed themselves. It was the only way she could feed. The only way she could make sure if she was actually a ghoul now.
Of course, a high school girl couldn't possibly know where to look when searching for corpses. She eventually wandered into a dangerous alley. Not because it was filled with Ghouls, but because it was filled with humans.
Like before, she soon felt how a set of eyes planted themselves on her back. This time she was not afraid, however. These eyes did not hold the same pressure those other eyes did. This man was nothing compared to that feeling from before.
Still, she couldn't possibly kill another human, right? Even if he was threatening her....
Eventually, and when there were no more people around, the man jumped on top of her in a dark alley. His intentions were clear.
"Let me go!" Isori begged the man.
"Or what, little girl?! Ya gonna hurt me?!" Isori didn't struggle much. She knew that the strength of a Ghoul by far surpassed that of a human. She could easily break the man's arm if she resisted against this attempt of rape.
However, and as the man started undressing her, he kept a single hand on Isori's mouth, trying to muffle any screams. Though the girl did not scream, she did try very hard for not to do something else.
Don't bite his hand. Bite it, you know you want it. Don't do it. Do it.
It is a human being, you can't possibly eat him.
But look at the piece of shit he actually is. Nobody will miss him.
Bite him. Bite him.
EAT HIM. She opened her mouth and then closed it. Simple way to eat, honestly.
The man could only stare at his now missing fingers. It took a while for his fear to settle in, and for him to realize that he had done the worst mistake in his life.
Isori stood back up, before locking her lips with the man's. After that, she pulled back, having tore apart his lower lip.
"You wanted something like this, didn't you?" She laughed. She felt her sanity leaving her, and she to hold on to it.
Perhaps... let go this one time would help her remain sane in the future.
Only the bones of the man were left that day.
Isori realized something then. If she had to feed, well, she could only feed off the scum of society. Thieves, rapists, murderers, perhaps the occasional dove here and there. Anyone that didn't feel like living in a perfectly organized society was electable for her to feed on.
So she started hunting. She had a hang for it, having watched the others do it, though she did have to train on how to use her kagune better.
When doves finally found her, and some of them died thanks to her peculiar skill with her kagune, she was nicknamed Plague. The fact that she lost control while fighting them also raised some notioriety for her, which she would like to be rid off.
In an effort to shake them off her tail, she retreated back to ward 5, where it had all started. There, she found the others. How would they take it that she was now a Ghoul like them? Well, only time would tell.
Other: Still trying to major in politic sciences to be able to help ghouls. Being one herself now, though, would probably be bad for her in the future if she does follow with it.
She wishes she could still eat instant ramen, a favorite of hers before her Ghoulification.
Will add theme tomorrow cause I'm fucking tired.
