The water on her skin or dripping from her hair wasn't even felt anymore as he clung to her like it was the last thing he was going to do. Something in her gut twisted painfully at the sheer thought of what could be doing this to him. It took all of her focus to keep a level tone with him, the blankness in his eyes making a knot in her throat. He spoke again of another girl and it wasn't jealousy that took over but worry and fear. Who could be so important that he would change so dramatically?!
