My current idea is to establish a facade of standard university and learning stuff, with secret labs and collections people organized and hidden by Lazarus. So that one day your Great Library of Alexandria will suddenly burst into a tentacle and flesh abomination because ol' Laz screwed something up. This integrates him into storylines without readily giving up what his portfolio dictates he does.

Just keep in mind that it's still very early history. Not sure if academic institutions and labs and whatnot would be coming about yet. But I guess if Xerxes is advanced enough to have currency and advanced forms of trade, it's reasonable for it to have some kind of educational establishment.

How many FP on techpoints do I need to spend to send Galbar into the bronze age?

Not entirely sure...
We'd need to consult @Double Capybara's tech map

Aren't we already in the Bronze Age? Teknall is handling metalworking with the Rovaick and that technology can spread, Kyre is teaching the Hain about warfare, weaponry, and maybe even a bit of siege tactics, and through the ogres and the humans in Vetros I'll be soon introducing some magic and the concepts of slavery/feudalism.

Not sure what else is needed.

We also need to consider that Logos gave his humans a bit of a divine spark to slowly advance on their own... he's more of a hands off sort of parent, though with the Waters he's now spying on all of you... and maybe getting ideas from other times....

@Dawnscroll Yeah, but Galbar humans also got tech blessed multiple times by multiple deities. I think you should be less worried about Galbar and more about how far behind Arcon is with its tech.

@Double Capybara Yeah, but that's what Im trying to say. Arcon, technically, was suppose to be ahead of Galbar by now techwise... I know you guys had multiple gods, but if Arcon is going to be a threat later...

Eskandars have bows and spears and fur clothes. They're civilised, advanced beings. Just sayin'.

Hey folks (not only Cyclone) no we are not yet in the bronze age. Stop cheating poor Conata out of her job folks. Teknall has made Conata and Kinesis, yes; but they are still pretty green behind the ears and made no Planetfall yet. So nope no metalworking or machinery for the free range mortals yet.

@Double Capybara I played it a lot on my old computer, yep!

Full body picture of Lazarus coming Soon. Just need to do the linework and shading. It's not drawn by me, but it was drawn for me, so it's Laz alright.

Uh. No.
As far as I know this RP has no set story, if you want to make Arcon a threat you get some of that might out there to make it a threat. It would be extremely annoying to have all of the might and time I spent on Galbar be rendered useless just because "Well, Arcon must be the most advanced planet"

Just manipulate Astarte and I'll help with 10 Might or so. She's pretty gullible.

@Double Capybara No no, not 'advanced' technologically. As far as I know, Arcon is going down a different sort of 'technological' route than Galbar. When Arcon does its things, its less of "Spaceships vs Colonial Times" and more "Twili vs Hylians" sort of deal.

And the Bronze age thing was simply so I can have Logos and Elysium overlooking two clashing armies. Nothing more.

You've got a demigod of knowledge now, so given a bit of time to hatch from his cocoon of "oh holy shit im a body that cant handle all this power i gotta do something about this QUICK" I imagine he could act as a replacement in a localized area.

EDIT: My hope for this is to start up a big tug of war for which city gets Lazarus. I will introduce conflict whether you like it or not!

I would like to introduce you to someone. His name is Vestec.

Don't worry about conflict. He's got it covered.

He'd be capable of causing more conflict if he can hold on to Lazarus and his discoveries. I'm gonna drag you into the tug of war!

Edit: Not the best linework nor the best coloring, but I got lazy. I'll fix it later.

@Dawnscroll, let me think... Arcon humans have fire, bows, and stuff like that. To bring about metalworking would take maybe 1 Might (since it's a fairly big step) (maybe you can get away with a freepoint or two, though). You would want a freepoint to bring about agriculture, so that the people can stay put long enough to mine metals. Add 1 for domestication. Give another FP to mining, so you can actually mine them. Maybe another FP or MP to bring about a higher structure of civilisation. Since you've blessed Arcon humans to develop on their own, the intervening time would have plugged any remaining gaps in the tech tree.

@BBeast Not sure how much time has passed on Galbar since TOBIA was sent hurtling to Arcon, but no more than 10 or so years, probably less, have passed on Arcon since then. So in addition to any Might Logos might use, there is also the natural development which would occur without Might should Dawn choose to do a timeskip post in order to catch up with the Galbar timeline.

@WrongEndoftheRainbow How about I have Toun toss you into one of his monasteries? That would probably be the closest you'd get to a place of learning at this stage.

You'd have a great view up in the ironhearts, too.
