Galbar?

Is there particular reasoning behind that, or did it just sound like a good name?

That Chinchilla was the most adorable thing. Slough will be making chinchilla for sure. Thank you.

Remember, folks: the planet needs oceans, interesting landmasses, continents, climates, all sorts of crud. Don't immediately go nuts on life. I've got that covered. In fact, until your gods can level up more, I think I'm the only one who can create life, let alone natural life. One other thing: 'seeding' Slough to get life after a fashion you want doesn't mean you have to either seize control of her or befriend her and gift her your idea. If you make terrain with enough of your god's essence in it and Slough wanders through, you'll get life that follows the theme of your god.

For instance, if Teknell created a mineral-rich canyon, and Slough walked through, you'd not only get cactuses (of fantastical varieties), bushes, and such, and animals that tend toward structure and craft (prairie dogs, dung beetles, ants, tortoises, and so forth), but golem-esque creatures and perhaps proto-dwarves. If anyone has suggestions for life pertaining to your god that might arise in an area affected by him/her/it/whothehellknows, feel free to PM me.

It was the name used in the last iteration of the RP

If it was only Vestec things would be far tidier. Fate really needs to hire a better human divine resources manager

x'D This is the third version of this RP, and in all the others things were relatively peaceful. There were only maybe 1 or 2 REALLY aggressive gods, and they were always kept under control by the tons of goods and neutrals.

In this RP, it's nothing but insanity abound. Flesh stealers, Oppressive Order, Imperfect Perfection, Almost-Insane Mind Goddess, and so on.

This is gonna be fun.

@HaelThis sounds much more interesting.

Much more interesting for the Adversary, too. He'll have to play the part of good as well as bad -- or order as well as chaos.

Fun fact, Vestec is one of the deities that Belru wouldn't attempt a contract with because she doesn't know how effectively he can be bound.

Vestec his hurt! He is the most trustworthy of people! He follows the word he gave to the T of what he said!

In fact, until your gods can level up more, I think I'm the only one who can create life, let alone natural life.

Everyone is actually able to create life. Sentient life is just three might points away.

Higher levels open up new abilities. Of particular importance are the following:

At Level 1, a god can create tiny creatures that have no magical properties, like ants, beatles, mice etc. without using any Might. These can reproduce, survive and thrive.

Once a god reaches Level 2, they can create unintelligent species of animals or other beings that can reproduce and thrive. This includes magical and non-magical creatures.

Once a god reaches Level 3, they can create intelligent species of animals or other beings that can reproduce and thrive (at this level, humans, elves, dwarves and whatever else you can come up with can be created.)
Le OP

But yeah. Most Gods should and are probably gonna focus on creating the world first rather than shoving life on its lifeless landscape.

Except Vestec. Vestec's gonna fuck around and wait for stuff to be built so he can play with it.

Crap, I forgot about that. Reverting to the earlier bit about natural life versus unnatural life in that case.

I'm a bit confused on that.

What would be the difference if Vestec created the Dyun again and whatever Slough has made?

Well, relatively soon I'll have Zephyrion cover creating an atmosphere, tilting the axis to create seasons, and eroding the landscape into something other than barren flatlands. I'll probably also have him create oceans since he seems the best fit for that, but that might not come straight away.

Anyways, that should make a decent framework and allow life to be possible.

Before that though, there's something else that I've had planned that involves Teknall, so I must wait for the great BBeast to return.

Concerning creation- We probably want at least two or three gods contributing to oceans together if we don't want our planet to be dry. Jvan can be one of them, she'll like water.

Zephyrion will most likely be able to create an atmosphere for us. Oxygenation will happen by itself if we make the oceans rich in algae and cyanobacteria (they're small organisms but we need lots and lots so a Might point might be useful) but it might be worth giving it a kick start too. Climate will start driving itself once we have air, sun and water.

Mountains will help diversify the climate. Teknall can help there, maybe. Between rain and meltwater we might get fresh lakes and rivers occurring naturally, but that could be worth Mighting up too.

I don't know how cold this planet is or whether it has plate tectonics. If it's Earth-like, then it may need some volcanic or greenhouse effects to warm it up enough to consistently have liquid water. We may want a tropical planet without ice caps, or a temperate one with them. Up to the gods.

Also, do we have any moons to stabilise our orbit? We might get weird tilts and climate shifts without one.

@Antarctic Termite

Actually, since he's not a water god Zephyrion might have to actually expend might to create entire oceans. Unacceptable!

To remedy this, we'll make it a group effort! Zephyrion can invite all of his friends to play a game with him: who can bombard Galbar with the most icy comets? Or who can suck the most raw hydrogen from the sun (erm, Ull'yang's face I suppose) and set it on fire in the planet's atmosphere? Water is already everywhere, there's no need to waste Might to fabricate more of it!

I'll have Vulamera create Volcanoes! I'll also add the moon, if nobody does so first.

Writing my post now. It'll be up PROBABLY sometime tomorrow. Volcanoes and moons, on the way, everyone!

If Vestec made the Dyun on his own, without any help from Slough, they would qualify as unnatural life, and therefore while not subject to natural laws would also be unable to go through the natural process of evolution / self-improvement; they would rely completely on the improvements and sustainments furnished to them by their creator.

I'll make caverns and forests.

Not that last one though.
