[OOC] Young Justice/Young Avengers: Dimension Shift

In the depths of South America lays a treasure long thought forgotten, created by the Mayans who used it to achieve knowledge well beyond their own. This artifact was able to reach alternate dimensions and allow its wielder to travel at their leisure. However different circumstances over the numerous years have left the artifact still in tact only in two dimensions. One in the universe of Marvel superheroes, and the other in the universe of DC superheroes. Coincidentally in these two universes a pair of men have the artifact in their world domination sights. Lex Luthor, a dangerous and ruthless businessman, and Dr. Doom, a ruthless dictator. They both gathered like minded villains and went into their mission to raid the old temple that the artifact laid. However the Young Avengers and Young Justice caught wind of their arch-nemesis' plan and went in to stop them. Cornered, Lex and Doom are both about to create a much bigger problem than either of them, or either team of young heroes could of anticipated.

In this RP the idea is the two teams ending up going to and from the realities of one another. At the beginning the two teams will be shuffled and potentially stuck in the other reality. After that though the two worlds will open up to one another and there will be jumping to one another. You do have to stick with canon characters but to help make things easier for those who aren't familiar with the characters I am allowing for simplified back stories. Plus you can edit the back story and other things about the character so long as their core characteristics are left in tact. You are allowed to play up too two characters but if you choose to do that you must pick one Marvel and one DC hero. Now in order to help make picking easier I've made a list of who are available to pick from both sides. The two teams can consist of...

Brief Bio: Dick Grayson was the youngest member of the legendary Circus act The Flying Grayson. Who traveled the world through the Haly's Circus tour. However during a special charity performance in Gotham City The Joker and his goons attacked during the show. Dick helped fight back the henchmen with Batman but couldn't save his parents and older brother from being killed in the chaos. Dick Grayson was put into adoption but was soon adopted by billionaire businessman Bruce Wayne. When he was living at the Wayne Manor, Dick discovered that Bruce was also Batman, the famed vigilante hero of Gotham. Dick begged and pleaded to join him but Bruce initially rejected the idea. Finally he relented and Dick Grayson became Robin, the nickname he had gotten from his fellow circus performers for his soaring skills. Dick Grayson grew up alongside Bruce Wayne and helped fight the gritty crime of Gotham City. When he started to go into his teens however, Dick and Bruce had a serious fight with one another and Dick left to go out on his own. He donned new gear and became Nightwing. Soon though Bruce reached out to him and made up. Telling Dick about a new young heroes team the Justice League was forming. With Bruce wanting Dick Grayson to lead the team. Dick couldn't pass it up, wanting to become a mentor just like Bruce was for him.

Brief Bio: The son of a Kree warrior and a Skrull princess, Teddy's mom escaped with him when he was a newborn to Earth. Since the conflict between both alien species was extremely hostile. Teddy however grew up on Earth unaware of his alien heritage. Instead he was considered a relatively normal kid. He played football and basketball in school and got good grades. However in high school he not only found out about his kree and skrull powers, but also his homosexuality. This ended up leading to him connecting with his first boyfriend Kevin. Kevin was nice to Teddy but was manipulative. Especially when eventually he found out about Teddy's shape shifting powers and had him use them for their personal gain. Teddy didn't realize this until one night Kevin had him pose as Tony Stark to go into the mansion the Avengers used to use as their base, where Kevin wanted to steal from it. Teddy though, a superhero fanboy at heart, refused and after a fight watched Kevin storm off threatening to expose not only Teddy's homosexuality, but his powers to the rest of the school. In his fit of anger Teddy's powers truly kicked in, and he threatened Kevin serious harm if he did such a thing. Shortly afterwards, he found out about a group of young superheroes and it was through them he met Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan. Who he fell for and has been dating ever since.

Brief Bio: Bart Allen was born in the future, his parents were Meloni Thawne and Don Allen. As the grandson of the Flash, he was born in a family of supervillains and superheroes. Living in a dystopian future, where the Reach took over and Blue Beetle is a villain. Bart and Nathaniel Tryon worked on a time machine to stop the domination of the Reach. Little did they know, the main reason their future was doomed was because of the death of the Flash. He made it into the past, 2016 specifically. The time machine teleported him to Mount Justice, and the YJ team interrogated him to find out he was telling the truth. After that, he ran to Central City to meet his grandfather, Barry Allen, and met Wally West, Jay Garrick, Joan Garrick, and Iris West. After spoiling a few things that were going to happen in the future, Bart followed Barry and Wally into a battle with Nathaniel, who was Neutron at the time. Neutron also caused many problems, so Bart stripped Neutron of his powers. After so, Bart became a member of the Young Justice team as Impulse, since Wally had retired from being Kid Flash.

Brief Bio: Peter Parker was born from CIA agents, Richard and Mary Parker. When Peter was still an infant, his parents were killed in a plane that was sabotaged by Red Skull. Skull framed them for treason, as well. Peter went to live with Richard's older brother, Ben and his wife, Mary. The next years, Peter grew to be a extremely smart student in Midtown High School. Peter's shyness made him a target by many bullies, specifically Flash Thompson. One day, on a field trip to Oscorp, Peter was bit by a radioactive, red and blue, spider. Sometime after, Peter learned that the bite from the odd spider had gave him extraordinary spider-like powers. He had the ability to climb up walls with his bare hands, increased strength, and amazing agility.
One day, he saw an ad for a crash prize wrestling match with the Crusher, this was a way for him to test his new powers. He didn't want anyone to learn about his powers, so he made a (half-assed) costume. He beat the Crusher in the match. A few days later, a man asked Peter for help because he was robbed. Peter didn't help him, and in turn. His uncle, Ben was shot and killed by the same robber that robbed the man.
Peter was devastated by this, then at some point decided to use his powers for good. He made a red and blue costume, and with his smarts, created web shooters. As an vigilante, he started fighting crime in Manhattan, soon gaining the alias, Spider-Man.

Ah, Depending on how you feel about another bat member on the team, if Cass is rejected then I'll work on a character sheet for Jade, but I don't plan to follow the young justice version to much (when artemis is considered her sister in particular..)

Brief Bio: Cassie Lang is the daughter of Ant-Man Scott Lang. She is actually the primary reason why her father stole the Ant-Man suit and Pym Particles. She is close to many other superheros going to the point of at one time calling Iron Man "Uncle Tony". She is often involved in events where her father is and has a deep love for the world of superheros.

After her father dies she decides to runaway from her disapproving mother and step-father. She, along with Kate Bishop, goes to the Avengers Mansion to join the Young Avengers. When denied Cassie shows she has the ability to shrink and grow based on her mood. She along with the rest of the Young Avengers defeat Kang and after Iron Lad leaves and Iron Man and Captain America try to force the group to disband Kate and Cassie don't let it happen. After which Cassie takes on the name Stature.

Brief Bio: Superboy is a clone of Superman. Although he does not have all of Superman's abilities, he has super strength, super high jump, invulnerability, enhanced hearing, and infrared vision. Superboy is typically sullen, ill-tempered, and hates being told what to do. With special "shields" (patches that look like Superman's sigil) created by Lex Luthor, Superboy can suppress his human DNA to gain full access to his Kryptonian abilities; however, this comes at the cost of increased anger and heavy loss of rationality. He becomes romantically involved with M'gann while under cover in Belle Reve. Although at one point, Superboy ended their relationship, in part due to M'gann's abuse of her telepathic powers, and that he does not outwardly age, though they eventually patch up their relationship. Recently Superboy has been able to keep his anger in check.

@DrewVonAwesomeThat was unplanned on my part. (I decided to play Kate after chatting with a friend about how Kate's the better Hawkeye... as I played Clint. Haha.)
