"Not a problem. What would you like to eat?" Aurescia asked. Ophion went back to working on some potions, so it was just the two of them for now.

He smiles. "Any kind of meat. I've missed it." He rubs his chin. "I've never really been one for vegetables."

"Same thing with dracons, really. Follow me and I'll get you some meat." Aurescia took Soulcors to the kitchen. "Just pick out whatever you want. I can heat up some beef if you like."

He walks with her to the kitchen. "Beef sounds fine." He licks his lips. "Hum...beef stew sounds really good now that I think about it." He looks around, and smiles. "Where would I go to register my Parton as a legal god? And is there a fee, or is it just paperwork?"

"You would have to go to the great temple of Minbenthac to do that" Aurescia explained. "And there's no fee, but it is up to the clerics there to decide which gods are considered acceptable to worship and which aren't. Don't be surprised if you don't like the response they give you. Now, I'm expert on how it works, but there is a rather long and bureaucratic process which goes up several different levels, with appeals, divinations, research, and all sorts of analysis, none of which I'm qualified to comment on." She prepared some beef stew, pausing for only a few moments to speak some more.

"I guess there is paperwork, but you wouldn't be the one doing most of it. Now, here's the stew. Hope you like it. There's some spices if you want to put them in, but I figured that it's best to start off bland since this is your first meal since before most of the buildings in the city were built."

He chuckles. "I've seen the temple from afar, but never entered it. It's aura was too powerful for me to walk on the grounds, without invitation anyway." He takes a sip of stew, and smiles. "Mmmm. I've missed eating." He sighs. "I know that he likely won't be well received. Should I do community service first, prove that I'm not a insane monster?" He chuckles. "I doubt this construct would hide my true nature from the clerics and paladins. Maybe Ophion could come with me to vouch for me?" He grins, and resumes eating.

"Ophion could vouch for you, no prob-" Aurescia thought about it. "- well, once we explain it, I'm sure he'll come around. As for the aura of the temple, it should be fine as long as you avoid alters to those gods whose powers are too attuned to the positive energy planes. I'm not an expert on the undead, but anyone who's studied that sort of thing at all knows that you operate on what is very broadly known as negative energy. Really, once you show that you aren't going to kill anyone at the temple, it should be alright. At worst, most of them will consider you to be a 'controlled spirit.' It's not like they don't occasionally conjure up spirits of the dead to ask them for knowledge which would otherwise be lost forever."

"How many of those spirits are undead drow?" He chuckles softly. "Understandable. But what if someone uses some scrying spell, and finds out my true nature? Should I make a Binding between me and Ophion? To make it seem as if I'm bound to him, and am thus not nearly as dangerous?" He rubs his chin, twirling a strand of white hair idlily. "Negative energy is very powerful, but is nearly impossible to control. I would know, I've used it before." He sighs, reflecting on bad memories. "I could offer to be an Oracle for them. I can summon any dead I wish, and banish them just the same. Unless it's stronger then me, but aside from a dracolich, or a pure Negative energy being, I'm likely one of the most powerful undead in this area."

(Here's my reply. Sorry for the delay!)

"I... have no idea how many are undead drow. Or any sort of elf. Sorry" Aurescia explained. "Please don't undertake any bindings, I know that my husband wouldn't approve of it. His word should be enough to keep you safe from the temple, as long as you keep good behavior. As for what you want to be, I would strongly suggest NOT joining the temple, even if they let you in. Once you are part of them, it's usually hard to get out, and there's always a great deal of politics within the temple, between temples, and between the temple and the crown. For now, it's best we just get you some food for that body of yours. Even if it is a sort of meat puppet."

(It's fine)

He shrugs. "Likely none of them are. I came from a distant land, far across the sea. Even there, I was a rare creature. Drow almost never leave their caves and dens, except at night to raid, but I walked out in the daylight. I never told or showed I was a necromancer, but I traveled about just the same." He shrugs. "I'd still like to get my Parton registered, before someone finds out and reports you and your husband for 'housing a deadly being'. Although your husband is one of the most powerful and respected mages here, no? He could come up with a reason for why I'm here if need be." He smiles. "Lets just set that matter aside for now then. I'd love some more food."

"Ophion is indeed respected and powerful. He'll vouch for you, don't worry about it. As long as he puts a good word in and you maintain proper behavior, there really isn't anything for you to worry about. Not in Minbenthac, at least." Aurescia replied, not wanting to reiterate the point again.

"Now, the food. If you would take a seat over there-" she gestured to a large cushion on front of a large round table. "- I can cook you something and bring it to you. With that being said, what would you like to eat? Whatever you want, we probably have it. My kitchen is always well stocked."

He chuckles, and nods. "What me? Misbehave? Whatever gave you that idea?" He laughs. "I'll do my best. But if I'm attacked, I'll do my best not to kill them." He sits down cross legged, and folds his arms in his lap. He thinks for a moment. "Some soup sounds good. Anything with meat really." He lightly traces the swirling tattoos, and frowns. "Strange...." He shrugs. "Hum....I'll have to ask your husband about that later." He snaps his fingers, and his scythe flies over to him, sticking to his back and vanishing. "That worked? Finally, I've been trying to get it to do that for forever."

"Remember, you're still not truly resurrected. You're still a wraith in a meat puppet of a living body, to put it crudely" she explained. "Now, let me get you some steak." She used a bit of magic in the cooking implements to get a fire going. While not much of a mage herself, the kitchen was one of the most enchanted rooms in the entire house-store-warehouse building in which Ophion and Aurescia resided. "If you want true resurrection, we can get someone to help you with that. For now, it's best not to worry about it. You're alive and dead at the same time, if that helps."

It took only a few minutes to cook the steak, the cooking process hastened by the magic in the stove. "Here you go. There should be seasonings on the table, and a cup of water, which your new body will also need. Enjoy." She set the food and water down on the table, then took a seat next to Soulcors.

He smiles, and shrugs. "I don't know what I'd do if I were alive. I've been dead for so long. I don't mind being dead, it gives me more....freedom, so to speak. I can do things in my undead form then I can in my living, which is part of the reason I turned into a wraith in the first place." He cuts into the steak, and starts eating. "Thank you for the meal." He smiles. "You're a really good cook." He looks at her, and tilts his head slightly. "So, why do your kind only wear minimal clothing when indoors?"

"It's more comfortable that way" she replied. "Female dracons get agitated when we dress in too much. We have very sensitive bodies and any reduction in sensory input makes us feel like we're going blind. Males dress lightly indoors because our species was raised that way by our creators. It just became the normal thing to do. Honestly, the mages who made us treated our species like infants or as slaves, and neither of those uses much in the way of clothes."

"Mages made your race? That would explain why I never heard of your kind until I moved here. I've heard of kobolds, and a creature called a Halfdragon, which lacks your tail, and is over 6 feet tall. But I heard that they were the ligament children of a dragon and a humanoid, and despite how long I've lived here, I've yet to see a dragon. Have they gone extinct?" He frowns in thought.

"It wouldn't explain it unless you were over 10,000 years old" Aurescia reminded him, but then she paused. "Which is possible, isn't it? If you originally lived and died 10 millennia ago, then you might have missed a few things since then. Dragons are very much alive and well in our lands and abroad, don't worry. And if you must know, some of those mages who made my race were dragons, half-dragons, humans, elves, and a few other races. Ophion has the list of all known creators of our species, although almost all of our creators died thousands of years ago."

He rubs his chin. "I'm....not sure how old I am anymore. I remember that my mentor had a wyvern, but I don't know if that's a type of dragon or a cousin to the species." He shrugs. "My mentor was a necro wizard. He learned about necromancy after his training as a wizard, but he's likely not the same kind of wizard as your husband." He frowns. "I've seen so many things, but I've never lived in one place for long. Too many hunters and holy men trying to drive me out. It's why I left my homeland."

@Shadow Dragon

"Wyverns are cousins to dragons, but are different species entirely, much like monkeys are to apes" Aurescia explained. "If your mentor had a wyvern as a pet, he would have been powerful indeed. Wyverns are almost as powerful as dragons of a similar size, although their lack of front legs doesn't actually mean they have much less power. And in defense of those holy men, most wraiths and specters are a danger."

He nods. "So it's a genetic cousin. Good to know. He is, as far as I know, one of the most powerful necromancers my homeland has ever seen. I believe he matched Polybius in power, though he never turned himself into a lich. He was what's called a Hell Knight, a fallen paladin of undeath. He never saw himself as evil, he only killed those that threatened his lands. Of course, the people that live inside the boundaries were terrified of his undead aura, so he walked among them as a experimenting wizard." He thinks for a long moment. "I haven't spoken to him in....centuries. I wonder if he's still around...."
