"oh, well" Nyx said, skipping over the private comment, she contined, "Did it look like he had just elft? or that something had happaned? How long again?"

[Aristocles]

"I don't know, he just wasn't there. I suppose its been maybe one and a half days" Lixia replied.

"Are you two seeing each other?" Larek asked.

"He... we're not mates, that is, we haven't yet... well, I'm very fond of him, let's just say that. He feels the same way for me, even though we're not of the same species" Lixia replied.

Nyx honestly didn't see an issue with this. "Toby isn't one to just disappear without a word, right?"

[Aristocles]

"He wouldn't do that, especially after he said he'd meet with me. I waited for him at his cave for a few hours, but he never showed up" Lixia said. "I remembered that he had friends out here, so I flew over to you two for some help."

"Was there anything strange going on before he just vanished?" Larek asked.

"Well, yes. He told me he was having strange dreams, nightmares, even." Lixia replied.

Nyx frowned "I guess it won't end up to just be normal nightmares, if he disappeared" she frowned "didn't he say something about nightmares before?"

[Aristocles]

"Yeah, I remember him telling me about that once" Larek replied.

"He's a dragon, I'm a drake. We're not the same species, but dragons often have dreams that are omens of events which might happen if something isn't done to stop them" Lixia noted. "Toby told me of dreams in which the stars went dark, flickering out one by one, with the remainder falling from the heavens to the Earth. Of course, these dreams aren't meant to be taken literally, most of the time."

"Yeah, but he's disappeared" Nyx said

[Aristocles]

"There might be a connection. He might have tried to make sense of that dream. I don't have much else to go off of, and I've had difficulty figuring out what it all means, so I sought out some help" Lixia said.

"Well, I'm no expert, but the stars sound like a metaphor for people, and them flicking out seems to indicate death" Larek explained. "As for the fallen stars, that might indicate that those people are being injured or captured. Nyx, do you have any ideas?"

Nyx thought for a moment, then shrugged "I think something might be happening" she said

[Aristocles]

"Well, if someone's in danger, we should do something. I don't know what might be wrong, but I found some weird things in his cave" Lixia explained.

"Things?" Larek asked, unsure of what she meant.

"Yeah, pieces of animal skin with little drawings on them, in lines, and some of the little drawings were repeated over and over."

Larek thought about it. "You mean letters? Wait, you can't read?"

The stratodrake looked embarrassed. "I was never taught."

"Do you have them?" Nyx asked, "I so, we can read them"

[Aristocles]

"I'll have to take you two there. I didn't think to bring them" Lixia admitted.

"Well, you look strong enough to take us there. I'd be willing to ride. Nyx, you want to go?" Larek said.

Here Nyx hesitated, "okay" she said, "just need a few minutes, to check the egg and lock up then good to go"

[Aristocles]

"Alright. I suppose I'll get my sword too. No telling what we might face. Hold on just a moment" Larek told Lixia. After a few minutes, he was back. "Okay, ready. Just wait a little while for Nyx."

Danae blushed and shook her head. The only time Adair such things was when they had a few moments to themselves and even then it didn't stay on for very long. "Now I can't get my husband out of my head," She mumbled, turning and even deeper shade of red.

[Aristocles]

Aerta quickly got rid of the illusion. "Sorry if that was a bit much, girls. I was thinking of my husband and I just let it go..." she smiled. "How is Adair doing, anyway?"

Nyx had soon returned, after checking on the egg, and retrieving her knives, dagger and bow, and arrows. "Okay"

(Did nyx have a bow? I can't remember....)

[Aristocles]

(Let's just say she does, or she learned it. I strongly think she did.)

"Alright. Climb onto my back. I've never let anyone ride on me before, so just hold on tight" Lixia told them. Larek got onto her back.

(In pretty sure she did. Hand made, lots of character, in other words not smooth! Yes...)

Nyx climbed on as well, slinging her bow over on shoulder with the quiver, shifting her knives and daggers slightly. It had been a while since she had worn her weapons, and she didn't realise how much she had kissed it. "Okay"

[Aristocles]

Larek had a sword and dagger with him. He was happy to be doing something adventurous again, knowing that he would have less time for this now that he had a farm to take care of and a child on the way. "Alright, let's go!"

Lixia took off, her wings sweeping them into the air. She clearly wasn't used to this, and it showed in the uncomfortable expression on her face. Nevertheless, the stratodrake took them many kilometers away, up to Toby's cave. They arrived there within a couple of hours. Lixia was quite tired from the trip.

"That was new" she gasped.

"Well, there was no real way to get us all there at once. My gate stone can't really move all three of us at once. Luckily, Nyx and I can get back using it, so you won't have to fly us back" Larek said, holding the gate stone, which he had kept in his pocket. He looked around, trying to find Toby's writings "Nyx, do you see any papers? They should look like they were drawn using dragon claws dipped in ink."
