Aura gave him a smile. "It's as much as state of mind as anything else. At least that's what my mother told me. Males may be bigger and tougher, but many of them are wimps when it comes to pain. They just aren't used to it, I guess. Who's more fragile? The one who feels more pain but doesn't complain, or the one who feels less pain, but complains more about it?"

"that would be lovely" Jammy said, with a smile, and Marx agreed.

"Have you been to a farm recently?" Kos asked. "It's very different from the city. Also, do you mind showing us how to give an exam, Jammy? Like, to tell how healthy someone is? I think Sasha and I will need that for our family, when our hatchlings come. Sasha? Do you mind letting your mother examine you for that? Once we get back home to our farm, that is."

"Well, females do have a higher tolerance for pain since they lay eggs and human females birth live young," Rylan said. "Besides, I get cuddled if you think I'm hurt," He added with chuckle.

"Only your father's farm, the last time everyone was there" Marx said, as Jammy nodded, and said "I can do that, although Sasha will already know some of it"

Sasha smiled, "I'm happy for her too" She said, "Should we go?"

"Well, I don't know about that. My father and brothers can take a lot more pain that I can, but maybe we can test it out later. When we're done shopping, maybe we can practice sparring a bit" Aura said. Realizing that this was unusual for dracon females and that she hadn't mentioned it before, she quickly added "my father taught me about self-defense. Don't worry: I'll cuddle you if you are hurt" she said that with a smile, knowing she had little chance of hurting such a large male, even by accident. Not that she would even try to, given her love for him. Still, she wasn't afraid to spar with him.

Aura suppressed a shudder when she thought about humans giving live birth. Dracon egg-laying was quick and mostly painless, and entailed no crying, little if any blood, and absolutely no screaming, kicking infants.

"Sure. We have the gate stones and we've already paid here. Okay, Sasha, you know the drill." They used the stones to teleport back to their farm with Marx and Jammy.

"Oh no, that's a different sort of pain my little dragoness, I can guarantee you that any male would be the biggest wimp if they had to lay an egg or birth a baby," Rylan said, then looked over at Aura when he noticed her shudder. "What's the matter?" He asked.

Sasha nodded and smiled, taking out her gate stone, she used it to go back home, and glanced about, smiling at her parents

"Oh. Just thinking of what Avera will have to go through when she gives birth to human children. That's real pain. It's going to be a very interesting day. I can't imagine what mammals have to go through. I'm just glad to be a dracon. And yeah, you're right about that other thing. I can't imagine a male dealing with an egg" Aura replied."

"Well, take a look around, make yourselves at home. When you three are ready, we can go inside, and I can show you around the farmhouse" Kos told them.

"Well it depends if Avera has a daughter or a son again. A daughter will be easier for her where a son will probably be more difficult," Ryland said.

"Why is that?" Aura wondered. "It makes no difference when my mother lays an egg with a male or female in it."

Sasha smiled at her parents, showing them around outside, and enjoying being able to do so. She told them of Kos's plans for the farm, and she smiled, looking about across the grounds, just imagining the possibilities herself, for their life here. Soon, they headed into the house.

Kos changed into his indoor clothes, and quickly washed up, splashing some water on his face and chest, and briefly dipping his feet in a tub of water. After using a towel to dry off, he rejoined the others.

"Now, Jammy, you wanted to show us how to give an examination? I guess you won't mind, Sasha? I'm not much of a healer" he explained.

"I don't mind" Sasha said, settling down and letting herself get comfortable. to let her mother show Kos how to give an examination, knowing how to somewhat do so already, she relaxed as Jammy came over.

(I have no idea how to do a examination, other then on a human person, with a human pregnancy)

(Oh. Well, just assume that a dracon is like a person in that regard, I suppose. Sasha has an egg in her if my memory serves, so it would be like a pregnancy, I guess.)

Kos took a seat, hoping he might learn something useful from it. "Well, just do... whatever it is you two have to do. You two look so cute together" he said to the mother and adult daughter.

"Don't you remember how big Auryn was and how cramped he'd been in his egg? My brothers and I were about that size when we were born, human and dracon," He said. "Your mother's also not using magic to help conceive children."

[Aristocles]

(Well, I hope you ladies are having fun. This has taken a turn towards childbearing. lol)

Aura thought about that. "Oh. Well, Auryn really is a big hatchling. I can see why that would be hard. Remind me to be extra nice to Avera while she's pregnant. Like, even nice than I would be if she had an egg in her. And no, my mother isn't as skilled as Danae is when it comes to offspring and breeding magic." She had a wistful note in her voice, like she was speaking of a fond memory.

"When we have children, just... be as good a father as you can." She thought about it for a moment. It sounded weird "Sorry about that. Just thinking about having kids. All this talk about it is making me really want a hatchling too. I don't know how humans are, but dracon mothers take great pride in their offspring."

Sasha laughed, and smiled, looking to her mother, stretching out, and settling as her mother told her to.

"You want to be careful if you want to examine the egg. While Sasha is carrying the egg, it's stronger then you think, but still fragile. You just press gently, and depending how far along, or maybe just luck, you can feel the egg" Jammy said, gently pressing her hands on Sasha's stomach, and Sasha squirmed slightly, but otherwise didn't react.

"Otherwise a complete physical examination is actually quite similar to giving a massage. But you check more closely, look at claws, and such" Jammy said, "it isn't really hard"
