Ivy's up. Arc #2 is officially underway. And there's a crossover in our future.

EDIT:
And when @Vandy finally gives me a yay or nay I'll possibly add Lex Corp to the list of people giving aid in Poland.

Also, if I left your company off the list, no hard feelings. The media is fickle. Is looking at you Kord.

It's fine, nobody give my character any respect or acknowledgement which...is probably accurate to comics Ted.

I mean BOTH of my characters are rich guys with companies, but I haven't given Moon Knight's rich guy alter ego any play yet. I'm sure he'll host a charity gala at some point or something.

EDIT:

Also LIES! NOBODY RESPECTS KORD INDUSTRIES! Why would they, it's just a less big Waynetech or Stark with a sexier, funnier, more beloved CEO.

But MK's company isn't all that famous for a national news broadcast. I doubt any one in Poland has heard of it. It's not an USA based disaster.

I actually thought this thing through man.

Edit: But gala's are fun. Make sure yours doesn't end in a hostage situation like Wraith's. :haha

And I gotta go to work. Bye bye

@Dblade26 D-listers gonna D-list.

I'll give you Kord. He's a top-tier C-lister - due in large part to the fact he's such a social butterfly, if nothing else. He works really well as a "moral compass" kind of character in a big arc. There's not a chance in hell Moon Knight makes it to the big leagues though. I mean... he's Moon Knight, man.

I was mostly joking about MK being included and mentioning the fact that he ALSO owns a company as an afterthought to Ted's lack of inclusion. He IS a perennial D-lister in the comics, though that doesn't mean I can't make him something better here even though I like his little D-list-y adventures. I feel like if they ever bothered writing him consistently he could legitimately be good, especially rereading some of his early junk lately.

The latest batch of writers for his stuff actually cited his complete lack of characterization, skill/power/tech level and story tone as a foundation of the character, which I'm not sure I agree with really.

His newest stuff upcoming in a month might be interesting, but it might also serve as a gateway to completely destroy the character and remove him from comics entirely.

Also yeah, 'Social Butterfly/Moral Compass' basically does seem to be Ted's role, especially among the billionaire vigilante types. I mean Tony's snarky and humorous, but he's also occasionally just a huge insufferable jerk plus a sometimes traumatized on-again-off-again alcoholic. Sometimes GA is balanced out too but sometimes...not so much.

Some characters just work better in isolation. I think Moon Knight is one of them. There's a reason he hasn't really stuck on a team in the comics for a long while. He's always been far, far more interesting to me on his own than when forced into a more classic comic book setting.

And to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the post-MCU characterisation of Stark. I prefer a more stoic depiction of Iron-Man. Though he was at times horribly mischaracterised throughout Civil War, I thought Tony was far more interesting then than the Downey-esque depiction that has taken over in the comics. Mostly because there are no shortage of wise-cracking, comic relief characters that do that schtick better than Stark.

Breakfast than working on Diana. Maybe if I'm really on point I can get Kaznia dealt with before Superman finishes Henshaw.

I agree in terms of Moon Knight working generally better in his own stories, but I don't think there's no place for him on a team or in a wider universe, or that his stories or being brought up from D-list in general necessarily have to involve a team-up to be classified as better or improving.

I mean, he's that guy who probably seems weird to other heroes in their own contexts when his cross over with theirs, or he should be. He could cross with the Punishers in this potentially, but I'm pretty sure Frank would think he's gone a little off his rocker since he's dealing with werewolf potions and shadowy cabals as much as ordinary criminals and claims to be the resurrected avatar of a god since his old days, plus he uses higher tech. He could cross over with Ghost Rider or one of the other supernaturals, but he uses tech and skills moreso than magic and the world he inhabits is generally a lot less high drama and world-rending stakes.

He can actually be kind of a neat crossroads for some other heroes if he's used right because a good Moon Knight story blends mystery, military past, pavement stomping street-level stuff and at least a good pinch of weirdness and the supernatural even if their occurrences are sometimes more grounded and not always supernatural in truth.

Not to say I want to launch him directly into the big leagues even in this RP, I don't want to forget the essence of the character I'm portraying. But there's room to build him in and build him up in interesting ways.

I mean, if anyone deserves the title of Outsider, it's Moon Knight.

He'd probably be considered the weirdest guy in the group by the others in it XD

As far as modern Tony goes I think Warren Ellis has been the closest to hitting the mark with what makes him 'tick' as a character. A mostly serious, damaged, hurting man who is very self-aware of the fact that he's supposed to be a genius futurist working towards the betterment of mankind, and yet seems to be stuck making weapons. There was just enough dry humour in Ellis' Stark to stop him being considered dreary, but no more than that. Matt Fraction's version wasn't bad either though, though it felt like it was more heavily influenced by MCU's portrayal.

To be honest while comics should be fun, I think too many nowadays are changing characters to be full on funny with quick clever quips and bad jokes all the time. It's like every hero has secretly been made a Them/Peter Parker hybrid.

@FacePunch, do you have an ETA on your next post? I can stretch the arc out with a couple edits if need be, but I've been holding off posting as Bats until I saw your Deathstroke reply.
