@Mardox Maire only really sees Ardghal as a threat when he's supporting Eliz. Not all the time. Two somewhat bloodthirsty warriors voting together on major decisions is a recipe for...TADIGAM! Erhem, I mean, disaster.

As an aside: due to Eliz's speech, it should be pretty clear that Eliz went on a cattle raid on another clan while she was away (The Nightfell). They were already feuding with us.

...That said, they didn't know who it was that had stolen their stuff and kidnapped two of their people before, but there's a fair chance they might find out after a highly public talk like that.

EDIT: Also, the weapon Eliz has returned with is the Dwarven Crossbow. She brought back only a single weapon, but it's definitely the likes of which your people have NEVER seen before. It could be studied, potentially.

A duel between Council members is... Well, okay:

• 1. It shows that the leaders of the clan can't put aside their differences. So, that WILL reduce faith in the Council.
• 2. It'd function like any other duel. So, yes: she could have someone else fight in her place.
• 3. The one character who probably shouldn't duel other members of the Council is the Chief under any circumstances. The Chief is meant to be a unifying force, not one that breaks bonds.

So, you CAN do it. What's your goal in a duel? And who would you ask to fight for you? (You CAN search for the best fighter you can, of course.)

Also remember that player characters are sort of "special" and better at their job than others.

@Shorticus Got it. And this is a purely hypothetical question. Unless Eliz does something to harm Maire physically, I doubt it'll come to actual fighting. She understands the value of unity and all that.

• Ardghal and Titania are smithing,
• Serheim is delivering the resulting armor,
• Eliz is coming back from her adventures,
• Maire is working on a salve,

I forget what everyone else is doing, so I'll try and find that out today.

I hope to update today, but I can wait a little longer if folks need time to catch up.
