@Mardox Maire only really sees Ardghal as a threat when he's supporting Eliz. Not all the time. Two somewhat bloodthirsty warriors voting together on major decisions is a recipe for...TADIGAM! Erhem, I mean, disaster.

BTW, if it comes to fight with Eliz, I wouldn't advise it. That said, Ardghal would be the closest in combat ability.

And again, an actual fight between you guys is a really bad idea in that it would tell the clan "Our Council can't work together." It's an extreme measure.

@Shorticus Again, as long as Eliz keeps her attacks purely verbal and whatnot, there's no chance of that happening. Besides, Maire isn't exactly a skilled fighter herself. She'd have to go to someone like Ardghal or Tristan Jory to fight on her behalf.

Though that doesn't mean she might not do something nasty to Eliz. She IS an alchemist, after all.

If it does come to a fight we're in a bit of trouble. Not only is it bad for the clan but I'm pretty sure that OOC Eliz has more combat traits and is focused on being a pure warrior, Ardghal is more of a leader and I didn't have as many points to spend. IC, Eliz is the more skilled warrior whereas Ardghal use magic, bloodlust and fear along with some skill. Eliz has her own magic, has bloodlust of her own (though who has more is debatable), doesn't scare and has skill.

I think it mainly depends on the rules of the duel. Any one asks to meet her face to face with swords will win. She's ranged.

1. What's the goal in this duel? What are you folks hoping to get out of it? An end to the rain without paying the armor, or something else?
2. Does this mean Serheim is still going to the Stormcallers with gifts? Or no?

Yes it is to go without paying armor. And Serhiem will be going, but mainly to oversee the duel without any gifts. His leading argument you might ask? "You quarrel is with her, not the rest of Aonghus."

Also, I added a small thing to my last post. Maire took 10 goods on her sweetgrass expedition just in case she ran across someone that wanted to trade. Considering she had enough time during the monster attack to get two seasons' worth of sweetgrass, I'm also thinking she had enough time to save those 10 goods, which are now back in the clan's stores. Minor detail, but there you go. And back to work I go...ugh...

You are a warmage and Magic is allowed, in KODP anyways. Don't worry Serhiem is only betting a lot here. If Eliz dies then we lost a significant amount of raiding power.
