I'd say a decent age would be about 9-12 years old. Because I mean carl from the comics was 8 years old and fromt the tv show I think he was 11-12 years old. so yeah a kid would be a good idea

I was thinking the minimum as 8 and up. But 9-12 works. Since the basic goal is to stay alive I would suggest everyone knows how to at least know some sort of weapon. From using something like a baseball bat to guns. It may not be best if people go alone either unless some else is aware. This will help cut back on missing people.

Yeah I think children would be there because it seems weird if all the children just disappeared from the world, but I think there should be a minumum age to have your character. I don't see many people wanting to play as a nine year old though haha.

Is there a limit to the number of characters we individually control or would any extra we come up with automatically be NPC.

I'm going to say you can control only one character for now. The rest will be NPC for all the characters we mention.

How shall we determine the overall leader of the combined group. I say that with the group that gets attacked their leader is an npc that dies and that the other group ... uhh ... I don't know.

We can have two groups, one has or had a leader, the other is like a democracy. :)
