It has been thirty long years since Voldemort struck his terrifying image is now only a memory. Witches and Wizards old enough to remember him know that he was not the first evil wizard, and are certain he will not be the last. Their fears are cast upon a new, rebellious, group called the Cloaks. Though they seem harmless at face value older wizards are wary of change.

This new group, established behind a masked leader, was to dismantle the establishment and rebuild a better one. One in which wizards and muggle can live side by side. They are tired of hiding in the shadows of the world, and being ashamed of the gift bestowed upon wizard kind. They want to share magic with the world, to finally unify all people under a common empire and bring peace and prosperity world wide.

Most wizards are against this movement, it reminds them to much of voldemort's bigger plans that were never seen through. The Daily Prophet writes them off as extremists and loons or else as children, merely bored in the peace times. The quibbler writes of them as though they were a cult, ready to wreak havoc. It would seem that the Cloaks only admirers are the muggleborns and the progressive youth.

No matter how anyone feels about them, The Cloaks are here now and they won't stop until their voice is heard and their goals reached, which side of history will you be on?

APPEARANCE:
Tall and thin Oliver stands at 6 feet tall. He tends to lean towards the person he is focusing on, usually in conversations, giving the impression of fondness and close friendship regardless of if he's known you for very long. Dark curly hair paired with bright eyes tend to give him an outward look of mischievousness, one that is not necessarily wrong.
His clothes tend to consist of dark blues and black and is more reserved and proper though he ops to wear such clothes in a distinct purposefully disheveled way. It is not uncommon to see him in dark jean or dress pants with an untucked collared shirt and coat.

PERSONALITY:
Oliver is a free spirit who enjoys lighthearted pranks, anything new or unusual. He yearns for attention of any type, and anyone who merely speaks to him he will label as a friend. He speaks his mind and generally seems very happy. With that in mind he does dislike large groups of people, and the loud that accompanies them. He takes being ignored very personally and is quick to assume peoples feelings about him. Oliver falls in and out of love a lot, though it typically doesn't go over well for him since he tends to be overbearing and has very minimal concepts of personal space.
He has a strange fondness for birds, and collects bird feathers, feet, wings, anything bird related. Any chance he gets to inform people about birds he will take. Overall he just wants to have fun like every other teenager.

HISTORY:
Oliver began life in The united states, just outside of New York. His mother was originally from Europe and had come to America to study it's culture and sight see. There she fell in love with a magical creatures enthusiast and started her family. She always wanted to go back to Europe though. Soon after Oliver was born the His father was attacked by a rouge werewolf. The attack convinced the family to move. Oliver's dad still has scars to prove the story true.

Now in Europe the young family settle on a ranch in the country, and Oliver is free to play and run around freely on the acres of land. As a child he showed a great aptitude for magic, especially transfiguration. He was turning house hold items into every manner of bug before he could even speak.

his acceptance letter was expected and he was sent to Hogwarts with high expectations placed on him. His grandfathers wand in hand he plunged into the wizarding society. Never had he seen so many other wizards, and admirably he loved it. Throughout his first year he made many friends. He knew nearly every first year and many of the upperclassmen. He was a born socialite and it seemed that nothing could go wrong.

his second year started similarly, he had perfect grades, perfect friends, a great life. Everything was wonderful. Until it didn't. Until the werewolf came and ruined it. He went home halfway through the year to his fathers funeral. He had been killed while trying to help a small community being tormented by a lone werewolf. He was different when he came back. He never really bounced back.

At first he was a totally different person, sadder, more distant. He returned little by little. Talking with a few of his closer friends, then opening up more. By fourth year he was mostly back to the way he was before. A little more clingy, a little more jumpy but happy again at least.

fifth and sixth year went by and he built back up his circle of friends. By the end of sixth year he knew almost everyone in the entire school. His life was almost back to normal again.

Magic

WAND:
(Hawthorne, 30cm) A long dark wand with a threstle hair core. The wand is thin and jagged, looking more like a stick than a wand. The handle is very smooth and its end being decorated with a dark jewel are the only indicators that it is not just a stick. Oliver will tell you that it is his grandfather made the wand in America if asked. It is adept at alteration spells, one namely being the disillusionment charm.

BOGGART:
In second and third year DADA it was a werewolf, blood smearing it's maw and claws, a terrifying form to say the least. Now days it is simply a dark shroud that blankets the room, and silences all sounds. It is lonliness and the feeling of isolation.

Oliver excels at spells that modify appearance. The disillusionment charm is his best;teachers have commented on being nearly perfect.

WEAKNESS:
Oliver isn't very good at potions or Herbology or Astronomy. They aren't 'magic' enough for him and he isn't interested in them. Occasionally Potions will catch his attention as some potions are pretty neat, he isn't very good at following the instructions though.

Events

So far in our story the train ride to school has been ambushed by a strange group know as the cloaks. Though they don't seem dangerous their recruiting tactics leave something to be desired. Will they be a friend or a foe? Head Mistress McKelly warns the students not to get tied up in their agenda, but admits out loud that for students sixth year and older she can't really stop.
The next day begins with Potions and DADA, then heads into Quidditch tryouts. Several of the More advanced potions students now have a potion that makes one feel more alert and generally better. Most of the students from DADA got nothing accomplished as Professor Bellfree is awful at his job and can't stay in his own lane.

APPEARANCE:
A girl of reasonable height at 5 foot 9 inches, she's not short enough to be teased for it and yet not tall enough to be awkwardly gangly either. In body structure she is slender, and doesn't show a lot of muscle tone, but does have shoulders that are slightly broader than would be considered 'average' for a lady. Pale, porcelain shade skin makes her chocolate brown eyes stand out quite noticeably in her face, with naturally quite thin/small eyebrows. Her hair is pale blonde in color, with darker roots, and is naturally curly, stopping at just past her shoulders in length. She dresses modestly, and in a "smart casual" style, e.g. jeans, polo shirts/sweatshirts, you wouldn't catch her dead in a dress unless for special occasions where she is required to wear one such as the Yule Ball for example.

PERSONALITY:
Stubborn and determined, Melanie will never back down from a challenge, so don't butt heads with her if you're someone who isn't prepared for that. She holds grudges for a LONG time and finds it very difficult to forgive people if they've done something bad against her or one of her friends. Often sarcastic and snappy, she's not particularly patient either and will often respond sooner with a sarcastic retort rather than a kind comment, but if you can learn to deal with that she can be a decent enough friend and will usually stick by you...but if you expect her to squish a spider for you, you can get lost! She's absolutely terrified of them and would sooner scream and run than try and fight back against one, whether it's a house spider or a behemoth like Aragog was, it makes no difference to her.
As a Parselmouth she has a close connection with snakes and is never seen anywhere without her pet snake Kindle, who she even hides in her pocket or bag during lessons--they haven't been caught yet! Of course, this isn't something she flaunts openly and in fact she's rather wary of being open about her abilities to other students due to how Parselmouths are usually received in the wizarding world since Voldemort's reign, she keeps quiet about it and probably wouldn't tell anyone unless they confronted her about it first, and even then she'd swear you to secrecy before admitting it out loud.

(I know this is only six but I honestly can't think of anything else to add to this without babbling on about random crap and I'd really rather not ruin the character by adding a ton of random traits just to fit with a sentence limit, I hope that's okay D:)

HISTORY:
(I tried to make the stranger wand core make a bit more sense without making it too weird since her parent's ages would be a little younger in this version XD)

Born to two pure bloods sorted into Slytherin house themselves, her mother Anya was a witch with an aptitude for potions, while her father Eli excelled in all things to do with the Care of Magical Creatures, especially all things serpentine. Both Eli and Anya had been 6th year students at the time of the second war with Voldemort, and while Eli had supported the ideals of the Death Eaters and their master Anya was a bit less inclined, although she would not openly argue it. When Voldemort was defeated and the Death Eaters disappeared into hiding, Eli at first went in search of them though he never managed to find any of them, or any fellow supporters. During one such search, he came into contact with a Basilisk who he befriended and kept for a time, keeping it hidden from the Ministry at their home until it's death shortly before Melanie's birth, where Eli then had one of it's fangs made into a new wand so that he could always have a part of his old friend with him. It was Eli who Melanie inherited her Parselmouth ability from, though it didn't come to light until she was eight years old when Eli suddenly found her deep inconversation with his own pet snake at the time. Afterwards, he began to teach her more of the language though cautioned her not to use it openly in front of other wizards and witches as they may not see it the same way that they did.

When she turned 11, Melanie of course received her Hogwarts letter, and it was then that her parents finally allowed her to have a snake of her own, thus she was given Kindle as her 11th birthday present, to be the pet that she took with her to Hogwarts. The next few years were largely uneventful as she studied and practised her various lessons and classes, discovering she possessed her mother's gift for working with Potions, until half way through her third year at Hogwarts, where her father's accident happened.

When the Cloaks began to make themselves known, Eli was one of the first to join up and try to bring back the old ways started by Voldemort, and it was during one of these scenarios that he suffered an unfortunate injury due to a mis-fired hex, which landed him a permanent spot in St. Mungo's, deemed no longer safe to carry his wand or to cast with it. The wand was then passed down to Melanie, who needed a replacement after her old one snapped during a practise duel with another student the term before, and was rather upset at the prospect that it would have to be destroyed otherwise. But the wand took well to having her as it's new bearer in place of Eli, and she has carried it with her ever since. She and her mother will frequently visit her father at St Mungo's during the longer holiday periods, as they have done since he was admitted.

Magic

WAND:
12 inches, yew wood, Basilisk fang core. A sturdy, but still somewhat flexible wand. It has a slight curve in its shape near the middle, with the handle end carved into the shape of a cobra's head. The length of the wand is also etched with engravings of sorts, that give the wood the appearance of snake scales. Her wand core is unusual, because it's an heirloom wand that was passed down to her from her father.

Melanie's boggart begins as a large Aragog-sized spider, which then gradually splits itself off into more, smaller sized spiders as it gets closer, eventually ending in thousands of roughly hand-sized spiders which then swarm and try to attack her.

APPEARANCE:
Untamed, mid-back length hair tickles her upper back and frames her heart shaped face. She usually leaves her brown hair down, but will tie it back occasionally. Kind mocha brown eyes twinkle out at others, and are usually covered with mascara and eyeliner. Her nose is crooked and long with small cheekbones. Quillan wears makeup for fun though she doesn't mind her sun-kissed skin. Quill stands at 5'3, so she's shorter than most girls. She has muscle from exercise but isn't overly done. Quill dresses girly and tends to dress well, though keeping it at a minimum. She loves to wear jewellery.

PERSONALITY:
Quill's sense of humor ranges from light to dark, and sometimes borderline unnecessary. Her vocabulary consists of lady-like language and when her temper flares, will usually turn into a sailor. Though she's hot-tempered, she's working to control it. Her demeanor comes across as boarding and intimidating, but deep down, she's a kind-hearted soul. Compassionate, patient, and a good listener, she seems like a push over. It couldn't be farther from the truth: Quill will not back down, even if her life is threatened. She has thick skin form being bullied as a child and will go to extreme lengths to defend/protect people. Quill is usually laid back and easy-going, but when trouble occurs or danger, she's ready to go and even excited. She won't admit she's thrill seeker but won't deny it either. Her loyalty is unwavering, though she'll run if someone seems like they are up to no good. Quill's bravery is one of her more favored traits, though it's been a hard-work in process. Most people underestimate her and don't realize how cunning or wicked she can be if she's tested enough.

HISTORY:
Quillan was born to muggle parents: her mother, Bianca; and her father Devin. They couldn't be more ecstatic to have her after trying so long to have a baby. From the moment she was born to age eleven, there was something different about Quillan. Her parent's couldn't place it though and tried to ignore it. As she grew up, it became more pronounced. Accidents occurred around her without explanations. When Quill was four, the microwave accidentally exploded, but electricians blamed it on a circuit fuse. Her parents agreed although it was odd as Quill had thrown a tantrum moments before it exploded. At school, Quill didn't fit in well with her shorter stature. For this, she was bullied and it became relentless. She learned to stand up for herself, though it took many tears and encouragement from her parents. Finally, at age 10, Quill punched one of her bullies and was suspended. Her parents were outraged and fought against it, but the school didn't let her back. They felt at a loss to help their daughter.

Soon afterwards, her birthday came. When her parents and she received her Hogwarts letter, all their questions finally had answers. Quillan was a witch and the accidents were blamed on her magic. Bianca felt conflicted but proud, and Dev in was elated. They knew why their daughter was different now. The Ashford's told her relatives and family friends that they sent her to a boarding school to teach her proper behavior. Since she's attended Hogwarts, Quill has found her new home and loves it more than anything in the world. However, being sorted into Slytherin, was a bittersweet situation. Being muggleborn in a house favoring purebloods, she worked hard to prove she belonged. After her first year, she finally found herself situated and mostly respected in her house.

Magic

WAND:
6 1/2, ash, unicorn hair. The wand is unyielding and easy to grip. It is smaller than other wands, though this makes it easily concealed.

Clowns. She was at a birthday party which hosted a clown and it terrified her.

APPEARANCE:
Standing at the height of 6'0" even, Adrian is a young man that has obviously kept up with the healthier side of life, judging by his lean, athletic physique. His skin is a fairly pale color, although not the pasty white that plagues some wizards - just a healthy pale that showcases his upbringing in colder climates. His eyes are a deep, deep amber color, that could even seem like a darker red in certain spectra of light. This is, however, simply a genetic thing, and nothing special or odd. His hair is a chestnut brown, although it seems to get darker towards the roots, lending evidence that the hair's natural color is black. The seamless blend of dark colors is barely noticeable unless you focus your full attention on his roots, however, and Adrian doesn't much care to fix it. Over-all, his appearance is one of a healthy teenager who eats and exercises regularly. He generally doesn't wear his robes around that much, unless strictly necessary, and the professors do not care all that much;; once you're at a certain age, some of the stricter rules are just loose guidelines. Thusly, he isn't restricted by the heavy and long pieces of fabric, wearing the semi-formal clothing that all students must wear underneath their robes, accented, of course, by his Gryffindor colors.

WAND:
10 inches of pure black Hawthorne, relatively rigid and straight. It is a very picky wand, and caused a bit of a fire problem in Kacey's Wand Emporium. The core is created from the heartstring of a particularly feisty Hungarian Horntail. He keeps the wand in a forearm holster that he keeps magically attached to his arm underneath his clothing. A brief pulse of magic will send the wand blasting into his hand, and runes along the holster itself keeps the wand from being summoned by anyone but Adrian. It costed a pretty penny, but Adrian worked for the money, helping the Goblins out at Gringotts.--

TALENT:
Although he keeps up good grades in all classes except for Astrology and Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts is his absolute best/favorite class. More specifically, he is exceptionally talented in duelling, and although he doesn't show much interest in weaker defensive spells, Adrian is a prodigy when it comes to the stronger curses and spells. His reaction time, coordination, and physical ability, enhanced by his position as Quidditch Seeker, makes him one of the Top 3 in his DADA class.

As far as spells goes...well, he has gotten very experienced when it comes to Fiendfyre, a curse that he had found in a book while browsing through Knockturn Alley. It is definitely 'dark', even though he finds that term very stupid. He doesn't use it unless it's a very dangerous situation. As far as spells that he can actually use within school? He basically has Reducto down pat, to the point of being able to silently cast it.

WEAKNESS:
Astrology and Herbology. In addition to the fact that Adrian blatantly finds these subjects as pure wastes of time and energy, the young man is abhorrent with magical plants. They simply seem to hate him, and he still remember the time that one of the innocent-looking roses bit his finger and didn't let go until he blasted it with a Reducto. He hates Herbology.

just a few nit picky things; You have to choose a color and make the words that color(see the examples)
also The gringotts goblins wouldn't let a wizard in training intern exactly, perhaps he could work at someplace else, maybe a certain store in knock-turn alley(which would also make his finding of dark magics more believable)(this is just a sugestion)

APPEARANCE:
She does her best to reject the Veela part of herself, not putting on any makeup and cutting her hair short to draw less attention to herself. This doesn't really do that much, and some men are unnaturally drawn to her despite her efforts. Her skin is rather pale, and she has almost metallic gold eyes with reddish orange hair. She stands at an average 5'5" and has impressive curves for her size. Even when she was younger, she was against the whole robes thing, and defied the rules to not wear them, especially considering the female robes have a skirt. She tends to dress in whatever she can find on her floor, usually some tattered jeans and a t-shirt. Unlike most wizards, she actually has a fair amount of healthy muscle on her body.

PERSONALITY:
A born and raised troublemaker, she tends to purposefully defy authority. She can be very kind to those who she likes. She tends to always be thinking about the what ifs and what could be. Emira will actively sit down, using her clever mind to create elaborate pranks. Emira thinks being sad or crying is a weakness, so she hides her sorrows behind broad smiles and jokes. As a tomboyish person, she will often punch people she gets along with.

HISTORY:
Emira's father and mother both died when she was very young, sending her and her twin brother off to live with her uncle. Her uncle is a muggle born like her father was. He owns a rather large and successful Thestral farm. Emira learned most of what she knows about caring for magical creatures through her uncle at a young age.

When she first started at Hogwarts, Emira was brutally picked on by other girls. Since she had such a volatile personality, it was hard for her to make friends, and she ended up sticking with her twin brother Marcus. However, in her third year of Hogwarts, her brother came down with Cancer. Emira had to stand by and watch as her closest friend faded away. Without him there beside her, Emira was all alone with the bullying. They even started physically assaulting her. In order to combat this, Emira convinced her uncle to enroll her in a form of physical self defense. When she returned to Hogwarts and the girls physically assaulted her, Emira used her knew knowledge to break one of the girl's noses. This was her first ever detention. With no one bullying her anymore, Emira found herself with an excess amount of time. Growing increasingly bored with her studies, she started to pull elaborate pranks and getting in more and more trouble because she was bored. This caused her to earn quite the name for herself with the teachers.

When she was younger, she also dreamed about teaching herself to fly. She used to try and transfigure her arms into wings. For months and months on end she practiced until she was able to turn her arms into wings. However, as soon as she managed this, she went for a test flight. She did not account for her own weight and plummeted to the ground, breaking both of her arms and one of her legs. This was the last time Emira ever did self-transfiguration.

Magic

WAND:
7 inches Ebony and Thestral tail hair. She normally keeps it tucked behind her ear, or in her jacket pocket.

BOGGART:
Her twin brother with his cancer-starved face reaching towards her with boney fingers, usually asking her why she didn't save him.

TALENT:
She shows remarkable aptitude for Defense against the Dark Arts with her second best class being Care of Magical Creatures or Charms. Her best spell is actually Expulso, which is a spell which blows up its target. She is also one of the two Ravenclaw Beaters on the Quidditch team. Considering her violent nature, its quite a good fit.

WEAKNESS:
Potions. She is literally so bad at this class, she will blow up her cauldron nine times out of ten. Astrology would be her second worst class. Her worst spell is Protego, the basic shield spell.

Crested Owl. She has named him Ludo. Essentially he was hand fed and trained by her.

EXTRA:If she is made immensely angry, she will go through a slight transformation.. becoming slightly more bird-like in appearance. If pushed to the point of no return she will hurl a fire ball. However, this is something she has absolutely Zero control over. This can also potentially cause her to get expelled if she allows it to happen. (this has to do with her veela blood). Since she is 18, she can apparate, as long as she's not on Hogwarts grounds. She prefers brooms to this, however.
