”Wanna get to know me, huh? Don’t blame you, I am a pretty cool guy”
Name: Makoto Guroi
Nicknames: Makoto is known by Mack to most, and Mako (like the shark) to those he's close to
His students just call him Professor Guroi
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Occupation: History Teacher
Sexuality: Homosexual
Appearance
”There’s pictures here perv, what else is there to say?”
Physical Appearance: Makoto stands at 5’8” but looks taller due to the perfect posture he prides himself on, with long blonde hair reaching his middle back, just at the bottom of his shoulder blades. He has one red and one golden eye due to heterochromia, an odd appearance, yet somehow he manages to pull it off with his casual confident ease.
His jawline is sharp enough to cut a b!@#% (Not really, he tried and it didn’t work) and he has a small nose with matching small ears. He has no visible scars when fully clothed but under his shirt he has scars all across his back and upper torso, and a circular scar that looks like a birthmark just under his collarbone and on his shoulderblade.
Clothing Style: Makoto has a tendency to overdress, wearing shirts and ties to nearly everything no matter the occasion. He loves his black and gold and has a particular liking for earrings, especially the red ones shown in the pictures above.
Going Deeper
”Sure you wanna go there?
Personality: Outwardly, Makoto is a confident, cunning, charming young man with a bright future, who is a bit of a flirt and definitely seems like a seme.
However, when it comes to those he truly cares about he becomes very meek and submissive, wanting to do whatever he can to please them. He strives for his lover’s approval and praise, doing anything he can to gain it.
With his students he is quite laid back, often letting them do whatever they want, only really teaching the overachieving students who are motivated by their own drive, getting him in trouble with the principal more than a few times.
Biography:
If there was anything that could accurately describe Makoto's life, it would be the boiling frog, that doesn't jump out of water slowly heated up. Born to filthy rich parents who were senior partners in a major media conglomerate, one would think that he had an easy life, groomed to become involved in the top tiers of the business world. But his parents were always stressed, and took that stress out on Makoto.
It wasn't that bad until he was around 8 when they started hitting him, his father kicking and punching him and his mother scratching him, causing many of the scars still visible today. To the world, though, he had to stay a happy, sweet, charming boy unless he wanted to be hurt even more. So he constructed a personality that his parents would approve of, confident, sweet and charming, a progidy boy who had homeschooled his way through highschool and was leaving for Oxford University.
That personality stayed with him for years.
When he was 16, an event happened that was the final straw for his family. His father lost it, shooting Makoto's mother and himself, all while Makoto was in his second last year doing a Masters of Arts, a Bachelor's degree of history, and minoring in English, originally planning to research philosophy.
He managed to get himself emancipated and become a legal adult rather than go into the foster system, thanks to the help of his parent's fortune, only a small fraction of which Makoto had access to until he was 18.
Once he was 18, and finished Makoto broke off all ties with his parents, moving cities, changed his last name to Guroi, and donated the vast majority of his parents' money to charity, leaving 2 million US dollars to give him $100,000 in interest a year, money he saves in a secret bank account he hasn't told anyone in his new life about or accessed, only there in case of an emergency.
His excellent qualifications landed him a job at Blackthorne Academy at only 22 as an assistant professor, his skills as a teacher and abstract thinker getting him a proper professor's job at 24. The overconfident flirtatious nature he constructed long ago and is now an essential part of him had him flirting with a lot of guys, Nicolas being one in which he was particularly interested in, until of course little Mr. Jem came along. He was a gorgeous man who was a bit intimidating at first, but he soon got used to it.
Now, they're dating. Makoto could see that Jem's friend Eric was very protective, so he pretends to be even more shallow and flirtatious than he already acts when around him just to annoy him. The truth is though, Makoto cares for this gruff intimidating music professor more than he'd care to admit
Fears: More than anything else, Makoto fears being abused again, loving someone who wants to hurt him Makoto also has a fear of motorcycles, and falling For some reason he is very uncomfortable around watermelons and thinks containing watermelon, not quite a fear, but a discomfort.
Extra: Theme Song Loves philosophical debates and animals Is vegetarian A natural blonde
"Happy now?"
Here's my character, sorry I took a little while, haven't finished the biography or fears yet, will add them tomorrow most likely, just leaving this here for you to see and for me to save.
So we're setting it in a school, can I call dibs on not being a teacher but, like, the guidance counselor? I'm going for the 'hey, he's the cool staff member' and there's never been a cool guidance counselor so let's buck the trend.
@lovely complex Eh, a five year difference seems fine but what do I know, I've habitually dated people older than me what do you mean no it's not my type shut up.
This is what I have of his personality so far, do you see him as a Music teacher or an English teacher?: Straight forward and hardly ever unnerved, Jem rarely sugar coats or softens his words. It doesn't matter if your his student or his best friend, if you're being an annoyance to him, he will blatantly tell you to your face and in front of anyone whose around. His students are conflicted with doting on him because of his charming unkempt looks and peculiar nature or being scared shitless by his mood swings. Sometimes he's pleasant and fun, other times he's cold and heartless. Rarely does he smile in public, but when he's home, away from the public eye, he's relaxed and full of genuine grins and laughs. At times, Jem's childish side appears when he speaks vulgar and perverted, when he is being picky with his food, and when he's jealous. His parents are long gone dead, having left this world after he graduated highschool in a gang drive by.
Well, on the outside, Makoto seems like a flirty guy who doesn't take his relationships seriously enough and that would make Muse B hate him with a fiery passion

English teacher most definitely, that's exactly how I imagine the stereotypical English teacher.
