As you enter the worn down library, you notice the interior is mostly in shambles, bookcases either broken, or fallen over one another. Off to the right, you see some of the foundation starting to crumble away due to neglect, you strongly believe the building will come down upon at any moment. To the left is an elderly man fast asleep with a book against his chest, it's title was too faded for you to make out the words, but you assume it's contents to be boring. You clear your throat, raising the man from his slumber, causing the book to fall to the floor. On the page, you can see a name in large letters: Tyme Ishinara. The man notices your sudden change in facial expressions, "So, you want to know more about this man, eh? You must be from what remains of Avenase in this era. I take it you're on a quest to figure out how he saved the world from destruction?" he asks, picking up the book carefully, as if it were important. You nod. "Well then, before you can understand him, you must understand what he went through, the losses he faced. You must forget all the stories you've heard, and everything you've read about him, they're not real. He was never a monster, he was a hero, a hero for all of Doria." the man tells you, setting the book on the desk in front of him. The man leads you to the only standing bookcase, pulling on a book which activated a hidden door beside the bookcase. Behind the door was a locked glass container, inside it held three very large books.
The man opens it and pulls out the first and second ones, locking the case again before returning to you, "This book contains all the historic events in our history, beginning with the first Goddess' War, to the creation of the Three Hundred Crater. After that, the writer never bothered to record anymore significant events." he said, turning the book to face you. The title was simple: The History of Doria. "This book is the real story of Tyme Ishinara, Hero of Avenase, Dragon Guardian of Doria. This book contains everything he did, everyone he met, and everything he lost." he turns that book to you as well. It's title read: The Rebellion of Avenase. You reach for the book and begin to open it, only to feel the man's hand stopping you, "Be warned, once you have read and understood his plight, you will never look at Doria the same way again." he says before letting your hand go. You nod, opening the book and reading the first line: "It all started when The Imperial Empire and The Red Sun Guard declared war with each other. It pit Avenase and Tormin , the last two habitable continents, into a state of anarchy. I lost my sister, Azure, many years ago. If only I knew back then what darkness would come for me, I could have prevented this war, and 'she' would still be alive today."
So, for those of you who aren't aware by this point, this is a Final Fantasy roleplay. RSG and The Imperials are at war, the RP begins the day a certain event takes place to trigger the war. Avenase, the largest continent on Doria, is home to the Imperials and lack powerful magic users. On the other side of this, is Tormin, the smallest continent, though lacking any real physical fighters. There are only three continents left on Doria, Avenase, Tormin and Haruga. Armond Zeraltus III wishes for control of Tormin, while Luna Bladedancer wishes only for peace. This RP is based around the war and the story between Tyme Ishinara and a certain individual who is his love interest. I will be playing Tyme, along with multiple other NPC's and controlling certain events that transpire. Everyone has the choice of being part of the Imperials, or being part of the RSG. Magic is limited to basic spells for mages, and Holy, Meteor, and Ultima are all off limits until revealed in the storyline. Weapons are pretty basic at the start, a non-folding gunblade, swords, staves, rods, etc. like that are allowed, with the exception of Tyme for plot purposes. You can be any of the four classes you wish. Summoners are not a class due to another plot event entwined into the story.
Let me explain a couple of things in regards to the CS, your character's Rank is determined by which side you're loyal to. Yes, you can be from either country and still be loyal to the other side, just make sure your history makes sense as to why you're there. Magic is limited to basic spells(Fire, Thunder, Blizzard, etc.), and as stated above, Meteor, Holy and Ultima are all plot based magic, so don't try putting them on your character. Appearance pics from Final Fantasy games can be used, though Cloud Strife is off-limits, as are the other three shown in the banner. As for your class, warrior, mage, archer, and lancers are your basic classes for the time being. Warriors may choose to be one handed, two handed, or dual wield. They may also opt to use a gunblade instead of a sword. Mages may choose one Aspect, either Creation, or Destruction. Respectively, the mages will either be white or black depending upon their choice. Archers may use a bow or a crossbow, both of which will require two hands obviously. As for the lancers, they will be granted a spear or a javelin, depending upon the path they wish to take in their training.
Also, there is a spot available for Tyme's love interest, should someone wish to create a character for that. However, it'll be based on a first come, first served basis. Likewise with appearance pictures.
Avenase
Known to be the largest continent in Doria, it's population is said to reach into the tens of millions, with many cities relying on technology developed by the Empire. This has, however, reduced the amount of natural magic that flows in the land, thus creating many barren landscapes as a result. The government of Avenase is run by a monarchy, with King Armond Zeraltus the Third (or Armond Zeraltus III as he's more commonly referred to) as it's current ruler. While the citizens are somewhat satisfied with living conditions, there are those who see the King as a tyrant and wish nothing more than to overthrow him. These same individuals are people who have had their lives destroyed by the Empire, and they whisper of a coming rebellion should conditions continue to deteriorate.
Avenase's citizens aren't tolerant of other races outside humans, they have been led to believe that humans are superior, and that all other races should submit to their will. It is rare to find another race within Avenase, though if found, expect there to be much ridicule and extreme prejudice.
Tormin
Tormin is a land where magic flows freely and in abundance, thus creating large thick, lush forests, grassy plains, and even to the south the desert there has multiple oasis'. Magic is practised here, and races of all sorts exist in harmony, learning from one another. The government here is chosen by the people of Tormin, Luna Bladedancer is currently the ruling Matriarch of the smallest of Doria's continents. The massive mountain to the east is home to the Ronso and a few tribes of anthro dragons. The smaller mountains to the north are home to the remaining anthro dragon tribes. Though the two nations are at war, there are some Avenasians that reside in Tormin, they seek to live a better life.
