What Would You Do for a Million Dollars?
Subject: Casting Call
From: All Eyes Reality TV, LTD.
Dear ______,
This is All Eyes Reality TV, LTD. Due to your age, we would like to formally announce a casting call for our newest reality show: What Would You Do for a Million Dollars? This reality show is a work in progress that we have been wishing to pitch to networks for quite a few years now. Due to the declining state of reality TV in the eyes of the masses, this is our last chance. We would like to offer you a personal chance to step forward and audition for a legendary opportunity that will change your life, and the viewing world, forever.
The pitch is simple. Sixteen college aged individuals, each with a different memorable stereotype such as jock, goth, nerd, and so on and so forth, will be taken to the beautiful resort of Reality Grande. Once here, the sixteen individuals will be divided into two teams of eight people. They will compete in rigorous physical, mental, and social challenges amongst each other, and the losing team will vote off one contestant each week. The last person standing will win one million dollars and will be crowned the winner of the first season of What Would You Do for a Million Dollars?
Not only will this bring you fame and possible fortune, but it will also allow you to make friends with the other fifteen contestants. Or perhaps, you will end up in a relationship with them. Or perhaps even yet, you will make an arch-enemy for life. The ball is in your court.
Do you believe that you could be our first winner? Send us an audition tape today!
Host of What Would You Do for a Million Dollars,
Joel Valentine

Hey, there! So, here’s the deal. This is an RP that is inspired by several shows (Survivor, Big Brother, The Amazing Race, and even the reality show cartoon parodies Total Drama and the Ridonculous Race). It will be equal part character interaction/development and GM-run challenges (I’ll probably divide these into a week per each with it alternating, to make sure the RP is still running at a good speed.).
Each of the sixteen contestants (eight males and eight females) will be a different stereotype (and as long as it isn’t racist, etc. anything’s game). Want to make something like a goth, jock, geek, or prep? That’s fine! Wanna hit some more niche stereotypes like gamer, cheerleader, party animal, stoner, etc.? That’s also fine! The sky’s the limit!
I’ll most likely limit everyone to one character and then open up the slots for a second character depending if we need more characters. However, to try to keep things fair, I will be placing some stipulations for people who have multiple characters (as well as a stipulation on myself if I create a contestant character myself).
To keep things fair, the character sheet, which will be posted once the OOC is up, will be giving individuals stats so we won’t have people godmodding in challenges. Things such as “Out of five stars, how smart/athletic/etc. Is your character?” This way, if I see actions done by a character that seems really sketchy and OOC just so they win the challenge, I will be able to keep a better eye on the thread.
Posts can range anywhere in the casual spectrum. As long as it’s one paragraph minimum, I’m cool with it.
If you have any questions whatsoever, be sure to ask me! I’ll be happy to explain anything for you.
