If Stepney could hear Griffin's sower words he didn't show it as he followed Charles towards the station, he was glad outside his usual boundaries. Of course this also meant one thing, he got to travel in the most magnificent beasts in all of earth land, trains; the complex mess of cogs and pipes lined with magical circles and lacrima alike left him giddy. He heard something about more people joining and he couldn't help but have a great feeling about this mission.

He waited for Charles to collect the tickets bouncing in-place inspecting what he could of the metal behemoths strewn about the station.

Griffin tried not to think about the long trip on the train. He planned to stay as close to a window as he could. Hewas hoping that having some freshair would help him not make a fool of himself. He payed for his ticket before moving to lean against the wall. He debated whether to get on first or wait. He decided he had a better chance of getting a window seat if he was one of the first ones on so he moved towards the train track.

Charles shakes his head some at Stepney and griffen, when he noticed another wanted to join he raised a brow "Monster, on some island" he simply states "So a lot of action is going to happen" he chuckles. as he gets on the train and goes to their seats taking one it doesn't matter to him.

Stepney walked aboard the carriage with an obvious skip in his step, taking his seat opposite Charles and Griffin, his bounce being localized to his leg. Before he could relax into his seat and enjoy the ride he saw the worry on Griffin's face almost leaning out of the window before they'd even left the station.

"You feeling alright there Griffin?" he raised an eyebrow almost as if to mock his own question.

"God why trains"she whispered making sure to sit by a window. She allowed her upper half to hang out. The train hasn't even taken off yet and already she was feeling the motion sickness. She closed her eyes while whispering to herself mathmatical problems to try assisting with his sickness that was already setteling in. She hated this condition of her magic; All powerful embodiement of a dragon but the sea legs of a landlover...What a wonderful trade.

Griffin nodded. "I'm fine." he lied. He was trying not to think about the fact that he was trapped inside the train for hours. Technically he wasn't trspped. He could leave any time he wanted to bUT doing so would be admitting that he was wesk. He refused to be weak. He would make it to their destination. He would not accept anything else from himself.

Charles would chuckle at the others and lean back closing his eyes. "This'll probably take a while so if I'm not awake before we make it wake me" he simply says. He would think about some of the various research he'll do on this creature, from dissecting it, to many other things. Just so he can learn all he can in hopes he could turn one into one of his personal minions.

Stepney shrugged thinking it better to leave that particular lion's cage unshaken, if Griffin said he was fine; he was fine. At the very least Charles looked comfortable as opposed to the girl by the window, at least Griffin didn't look green in the face. He knew that look, and what it often led to, acting now rather then later a magical circle formed in his palm and slowly he raised a thin metal bucket from his hand.

Satisfied with his work he slid it along the floor to her feet "I think you might want this" he then eases himself into his seat and prepares for the journey, his foot tapping becoming more rapid as the train remained stationary.

On the Island
Griffin was glad when the finally reached dry land. The boat hadn't been as bad as the train, mostly because he had been able to stay on the deck. The boats crow hadn't been thrilled with him on deck. But he didn't give two shits. They wanted the guilds help and protection they could put up with a mage being on their deck. It was the only way he was going to the island. There weren't alot of shadows in the water. Welll there were but they were way down deep.

Charles would stretch and glance around, on both rides he decided to pass the time either sleeping or reading, he would look around at the scene before them "Should we make this a quick mission or take our time?" he would ask the others. He wanted to take his time with the monster either way so it didn't matter to him about the rest. He just wanted to get better.

Stepney fiddled with his prosthetic arm not really changing anything of importance. While he hadn't gotten sea sick the boat ride had been less than what he would call 'fun'. The idea of being surrounded by so much water freaked him out more than he'd like to admit, he wanted to finish this mission fast to get back and move onto the next job however he was in no hurry to get on a ship again.

"A rushed job is a botched job, let’s make sure we do this right" he mimicked aiming down his arm as if his fingers were a pistol "right though its skull preferably"

Griffin looked around the island. Nothing looked out of the ordinary which meant that the trouble was probably further in. "I agree that we should be quick but that doesn't mean that we should be careless. It looks like we are going to head inland. We can stay together or split up. I have a way to travel abit faster then we can travel on foot but it can be dangerous."

Charles would nod listening to them "alright, though splitting up against an unknown enemy probably a bad call" he states "well Atlest in terms of keeping this island intact" he chuckles. "I say we just move in on foot since we don't know what is ahead of us" he states "Could end up being something pathetic, could be something incredibly powerful to the point where it takes everything to defeat" he says shaking his head "Either way.. I got something to study" he says with a grin.

"If you want we can take the shadows. It's not the easiest way but it's fast. I can get us to the middle of the island in a few minutes. But you're going to have to listen to my instructions. I am open to other ideas if anyone has suggestions." he didnt know if the if skills would be helpful in getting them to the beast as quickly as they needed to travel.

"Hmm....Well, lookie here..." A deep voice begins, waltzing out from behind a near by Tree/Rock/Building (Wasn't able to get a to good a feel for the scenery of the Island). Strutting towards the group, this man seems to pull a guitar from his back, and begins to strum, playing a simple, but pleasant, tune. However, he walks past Charles, moving straight for Amaya.

"...Tell me, Sweetie...are you an enchantress?" He asks, with a tad of a smirk. Anyone who knew of really cheesy pickup lines knew what was coming next, but he did seem to wait for a reply from Amaya.
"I wonder if she's going to punch me just like all the others..." Gene thinks to himself, fully expecting a knuckle sandwich for his troubles, as most women seemed to attack him when he made any sort of flirtatious attempt at talking to them. Which would explain why, if anyone paid rather close attention, they could notice a lot of Gene's teeth were fake, the real ones shattered and then replaced..and then broken again..and replaced.

Gene made a mental note to rethink his approach plan when it came to women.

Stepney raised an eyebrow at the word 'study' from Charles "You know, you're a little creepy when ya talk like that" he shifted a little bit further away from the strange mage as spoke. He didn't bother raising any ideas on transport, his magic was fairly clumsy when it came to travel and would hardly be good for the forested land they were going to be traveling. Griffin's shadow magic was an interesting approach, probably the easiest way to move fast for a long period of time with a metal arm.

"Well I suppose it is your turn to pick the travel plans, guess that makes it Charles or Amaya tur-" he directionless musings were cut short by the deep husky voice of what appeared to be a musician a metal one at that. His appearance was one of last things Stepney expected to see on the island, still it wasn't his place to step in fro Gene to act unless she needed it so he remained tense and waited for Amaya's next move.

Amaya sighed regaining her stomach for a little bit and it seemed just in time as a voice caused her to turn her head as she watched him blankly "Aw thanks for the compliment I am flatered but you are not my type pretty boy...you will end up alone in the end probably when your looks and tricks fade..."She said with a smile "Plus you won't last long enough to melt my iced heart."She added more just being truthful to her lone nature she had grown use to from her upbringing in two different situtations that lead her to fairy tail. She flipped her light blue hair as she watched him adjusting her form fitting fur lined coat and skirt.

Griffin rolled his eyes at the newcomer. He had little patience for people like him. They had things to do. Things much more important then watch this idiot try to woo Amaya. Especially when Amaya didn't want to be wooed. "We have things to do. Are we taking the shades or walking? Either way we need to get moving. There is a beast destroying the island while we stand around and waste time."

Charles would shake his head at the new guy who appeared and sighed "I did say we should walk since you didn't hear" he would say towards Griffin "If we go in by your power than we may end up in a very bad situation" he says as he begins walking towards the center of the island "Walking will let us all survey the situation a lot better" he'd state as if it was fairly obvious. He would have a gleam in his eye about researching this new creature even though they haven't seen it yet.

"..." Gene blinked a few times, before smiling. "Well, you've been a lot warmer than most of the dames I meet...so..We'll just have to wait to see if I thaw your chilled heart..." Gene says, before taking a step back, and spinning around on his heels. "As for you three...you're talkin bout a monster here, right? Well, I too was lookin for them. Wanting to test my...metal." He states, before playing a rift on his guitar. "...So, lucky for you all, I'll be heading along with you! I mean, some backup is always welcome I assume."

With that, Gene begins walking inland, gesturing for the others to follow. "Let's get this tour on the road, lady, and gents." He says, with a smirk. He played some tunes as he began walking, a rather chipper tune.
